Ice been yo very Fine Mexican restaurante in México City, Pueba and even in NYC and Chef Eduardo Torres brings out the very best of Mexican Fine Cuisine. He uses the traditional ingredients and techniques to create upscale dishes. It is a unique experience to dine at Ramona, service is fine as well and the Chef has honored us coming to our table each time we are there.

WOW! what an experience. I absolutely loved my entire visit to Ramona from start to finish. We arrived at the Beautiful Hotel Nizuc and were blown away with how gorgeous the whole place was. Entering Ramona we were warmly greeted and then seated on the patio. Our waiter was Joseph and he was wonderful. We enjoyed a great bottle of wine and decided to have the chef's tasting menu with the caveat that we were not to be told what we were eating until after we had eaten it as we are pretty timid eaters but we want to experiment. Accidentally, the assistant server told us to enjoy the Foi Gras, which kind of ruined it because then we knew we wouldn't eat something like that, which was counter to the whole point of being adventurous and trying new things. Each course was a delight and the desserts were outstanding too. I really enjoyed the entire experience and laughed and had a wonderful time. Exactly what a lovely romantic night should be. Thank you to the staff, especially Joseph, and the chef who came to speak with us at the end of the meal. There was also a very wonderful live band playing in the dining room. What a memorable experience.

Beautiful restaurant, superb service. Amuse bouche were excellent. Breads are amazing. Salad was super fresh but nothing great and over dressed. Fish was overcooked, though the sauce was very good. Mole chicken was good, but not memorable. Desserts were good. Would still definitely go back.

There is a lot to critique about OpenTable but this time it led us to a very special experience. We came from the Westin Lagunamare, have been coming to Cancun regularly since 2011 and have been to many restaurants but this topped them all. Our cab driver had no clue where to go and first entered the wrong gate. But after asking around we got to the right lobby. Walking to the restaurant from the lobby was surreal since we were the only ones in the hotel and the architecture was just amazing. We were seated under the beautiful ‘Tree of Life’ and admired all the types of stones used to build this room. Initially they gave us 2 white napkins but after seeing that my wife wore a black dress they changed her white one for a black one. Just this action raised the service to a higher standard than at most restaurants. Pedro served us and was superb in terms of his food and wine recommendations. He was assisted by Roberto who was also great. The food was as good as the previous reviewer wrote about. We concur with her view about the Michelin star, and her description of the Mole and the tres leche desert. We actually had the beet root as appetizer which was the best we ever had. We now plan to come back to this restaurant every time we return to Cancun.

Bday party weekend

First of all...the Hotel Nizuc is a beautiful oasis in Cancun. Behind a gated entry, the drive up to the hotel is lined with beautiful foilage and is very quiet and serene. The restaurant Ramona is tucked back inside the hotel with a patio that looks out on the water and is perfect for a romantic date night and at the same time, larger parties. The service was amazing from the start and every course was perfectly prepared. This modern Mexican meal was full of authentic and new flavors for us. The blue crab appetizer was a perfect precedence to the chicken mole which was perfectly prepared with just the right amount of spices in the mole. Dessert was fun and creative with a take on tres leches cake plus churros with three sauces and authentic Mexican hot chocolate. This place deserves a Michelin Star ... because compared to other star restaurants we’ve been to, this shone above them all. Thank you Ramona!

We had an amazing and romantic date night while on vacation in Cancun. The resort at Nizuc is stunning, and the restaurant does not disappoint. The food, service, and ambience were incredible. Try the tasting menu; you won’t regret it.

The service is wonderful. The flavors are rich and exquisite. The Tuna Carnitas is a must have!

Tasting menu was amazing. My son wants to be a chef and the head chef took my kids on a tour of the kitchen. Amazing!!

We wanted to like it, the service and ambiance was amazing, but the food was just not worth the price. The best way to describe it is trying too hard to be precious.

Absolutely first rate. Stunning setting in the most unique resort in Cancun. We love to find a place where the food is authentically the creation of a chef and this ranks among the best we have tried. Mexican food is not our thing, but this is a foodie's place and represents the best of all worlds. A few amuse bouche and a good wine list round out the meal. Pricey but worth it.

The atmosphere at the Ramona Restaurant, as well as the entire Hotel Nizuc, is something spectacular and experience that people should give themselves at least once in a lifetime!

Exceptional in every way from outstanding food to special service to a beautiful room, and even chocolates at the end. Truly a memorable special restaurant.

Simply an outstanding experience. Attentive service, great presentation and delicious. Recipes were creative and captured the flavors of the area. We will be back.

A disappointment aside from the service which was quite good. The food seems to be punching above its weight class. It aspires to be more than it is capable of delivering. Be certain you can get an acceptable meal, just nothing special. Pity.

This was by far our best dining expereince in the seven days we were in Cancun. The new young chef actually came out and interoduyced himself to us and the service was impeccable. most importantly, we werre treated to Mexican food at its most fresh and exciting! The Hotel Nizuc is absolutely gorgeous!

Love the Space and the food but they always have the air system on super cold
