The waiters were very friendly and helpful, so was the manager when we asked for a different seat. The drinks were tasty, made with all fresh ingredients (and adjusted exactly to your taste) and the food was good. I wouldn't qualify it of "authentic Mexican food", it's "commercial", catered to international taste, so it pleases most! :) Nice decor. And we appreciated special attention for anniversary!

True Mexican cuisine with originality and taste that makes you say "mmmhh, hhhmm, hmmm". We went to dinner for my birthday and was a great experience our servers Giovanni and Juan are amazing. Their service is top notch! Our meal was delicious and the birthday treat was more than a treat... it was a party in itself!! My cosmopolitan was also one of the best I've had.

Falta que los empleados cumplan con las medidas de sanidad . Constantemente se quitan el cubrebocas específicamente los del bar y algunos meseros . El lugar muy encerrado.

Had the best time at Porfirios!! If you want a fun place to dine in PV this is the place!!authentic high end Mexican food. But the menu is very extensive!!items for anyone-even kids, although its very loud for small children. Service was amazing!! We will definitely be back!!!

Tequila flamed shrimps and ribeye on hot stone plate with grilled veggies were very good. Octopus was good but slightly undercooked. Lobster tail was not top fresh. Churros and sorbet were very good. Good wine selection. Service was impeccable.
We dine here at least once a week. It is our favourite restaurant in PV. The food, service and atmosphere are top shelf.

Our steak was not the good cook, I ask medium rare but it was between medium and well cook. Very too cold, too noise. It was the St-Valentine but not the good ambiance for that. The service not very good because the server don't come to see us or to ask if we want water, or something else. With the coffe, we ask twice for milk........ I was there 2 weeks ago, and everything was better.

This is our sixed season here in PV. This year, we decided to step out and try some of the venues outside of the Romanica Zone. What a treat -- this is a very nice Bar/Restaurant -- the food and drink presentation was very special. We had a great time!!!

Very enjoyable evening at Porfirio's. Sat at the tables inside the bar area. It was a Monday evening and very quiet. We peeked in on the previous Saturday and it was jammed and rockin'. We had pre-diner cocktails, two entrees and a bottle of MX Barbera (a very pleasant surprise). Staff was professional without being ever present. Will def try another one of their restaurants on our next trip "south of the border".

My boyfriend and I have eaten at the restaurant in Cancun and loved it, so when I found out there was on in puerto Vallarta, I booked us a reservation right away. We were greeted by what we believe was the hostess (he ended up being the main person who serviced us throughout the evening) aggressively; before we could even sit down at the table he was asking what type of water we wanted and the options they offered. I don’t speak Spanish and my boyfriend was thrown off by how fast he was being spoke to that we ended up with water we didn’t want (not the biggest issue but just how assertive the interaction was). The overall menu has a lot of options which is nice to have selection. They offer complementary tostada chips and salsas which are good. We ordered our food and it was all over the place in the timing of receiving our food. We got our appetizer roughly 10 mins after we ordered and then our main dishes didn’t arrive until 30+ minutes after. We had a 7pm reservation and the restaurant was no where near full compared to when we left at 10pm; almost all tables were occupied by the time we left, and there were a handful of people dining when we arrived. I ordered the Fish Al Pastor; the portion was very small for a $17 dish, the fish was extremely dry, and the proportions were really uneven (one small scallion cut in half, and a spoonful of the pineapple purée throughout the plate). I was really disappointed in how dry the food was but I ate it all to not let it go to waste. Mid way through the meal, I asked for a cup of hot water, the mug had lipstick on it and I asked for a new up immediately. The hostess/server apologized and gave us complementary popcorn that the restaurant serves. I appreciated the gesture but it wasn’t necessary. The ambiance is interesting, there is a DJ but he was all over the place in music selection. At 9:45pm, a live mariachi band plays and that was beautiful. Overall, I am disappointed in this experience.
