Plank is the best restaurant in Playa del Carmen! Great staff, great food, and most importantly PET FRIENDLY! We love it there!

Great food and service, they forgot my little note on anniversary’s celeb though! Didn’t matter it was a fantastic night!!

Good place to go for the ambiance and atmosphere. My salmon came by itself. No sides. And had little flavor. Other dishes were ok but not outstanding. They were out of several items including short rib.

Made a reservation in open table. Confirmed via text that we were coming . When we arrived at the restaurant they said they weren’t taking open table reservations. Staff was rude and dismissive.

Food is good, but the ambiance is excellent. Live music with a beautiful outdoor seating area. Located in the heart of the downtown area of Playa Del Carmen.

The food is fabulous! Like other restaurants in Playa, they are in the process of adding staff for the busy season. Service was slow due to our server having too many tables. When the server did interact with us, Christian was excellent.

Restaurant couldn’t have been better. The restaurant was closing the next day due to the Corona Virus. You would never have known that by seeing the way the staff treated all of the patrons. Five of us had the tasting menu and each course was better then the previous one.
Please support this restaurant once Playa reopens

Nice place. Ismael was a a.delight. grilled asparagus was perfect. Flank steak was very tight and the knives were not sharp. Thought combo.

This restaurant was awesome!!! We went with a group of 10 people for brunch. The ambiance was gorgeous and talk about bang for your buck!! Everything from the fresh pressed juice to the main course was delicious. As part of the breakfast deal, they also give you some pasties, coffee, fresh fruit, etc. along with the entree. All of this was about $14 USD. Definitely go here!

We visited Plank for our Valentine’s dinner. The prices were a tad bit inflated considering it’s not on the beach. I ordered the salmon and it wasn’t a large piece. My wife enjoyed the lobster. It looks like they have an extensive cocktail listing. I wouldn’t choose this place for a special occasion again. I would however visit it for a casual dinner night.

Amazing! We went for Valentines Day assuming an overpriced menu that wouldn’t have good food. Not we’re we wrong. Four of us had an unbelievable 5 course tasting menu.
First course was flatbreads and dips
Second course was Gravlax with capers and onions. Both were very good
The third course was fantastic grilled shrimp and scallops wrapped in bacon.
The next course was even better, filet mignon and a lobster tail both cooked to perfection. They even brought out Mac and cheese and sautéed vegetables.
Dessert was included and even though we all were full we somehow managed to finish a dessert tray- 5 scoops of ice cream and four cakes
The price is $850 pesos per person
We can’t wait to go back

To everyone visiting Playa, go a block off of Fifth Avenue and have one of the most delightful dining experiences to be found at Plank. We have already been there twice for dinner in the past week, once for their “tasting menu” and once for a la carte dining. The meat eaters in our group raved about the surf and turf as well as the brisket, while the vegetarians loved the mushroom risotto, grilled vegetables, and flatbread with goat cheese and fig. And then there is the service... not only is the staff knowledgeable, professional, and attentive, but always warmly welcomes us as if we were family. A big thank you to Luis, Miguel, Edson, Ismail,Diego, David, Marvel, and Augustin.

As a local of Playa del Carmen we love and always recommend Plank. High quality and perfectly cooked food, atmosphere great, and good service. Miguel our server has been there since the beginning and always a pleasure

Always one of our favorite restaurants in Playa.

Plank was recommended to us by friends who travel to Playa del Carmen frequently. It did not disappoint . I Wishsh I could remember our server’s name, he was terrific. Everything we ate was delicious and plated beautifully. The highlight for me had to be the grilled lobster, outstanding and a large portion . Loved the indoor outdoor space ! My only issue was lack of light to read the menu . Will definitely be returning next year .

Did not have our reservation but sorted it out smoothly, service was present on and off, took my credit out of my sight at payment which is not appreciated nor correct.

The food and hospitality were exceptional. Very well done cocktails. Loved the outdoor seating so we could enjoy the activity on the street.

They helped us plan a proposal and had a great idea of using their famous smoked cocktail as the reveal. It was an awesome experience and they were very attentive to us. Also they gave us a complimentary dessert platter on the house to celebrate the engagement.

What happened Pkank!!!!!! First of all as soon as we got down of the cab there was this overwhelming smell of sewer! I thought to myself hopefully it’s not that bad when we get to the restaurant, OMG Was I wrong. I could not enjoy our time at Plank just because of the very bad smell. How could the staff at Plank not notice that???

The food was good, the menu is very misleading.
We had a nice brunch, until it came time to pay. Our party thought it was 160 pesos for the brunch, it was 250. Very disappointed in the manager, Gil who fought us tooth and nail, disagreed it was confusing although we are not the first to tell him so.
The food was good, it was with 250 pesos but the Manager’s reaction was poor and a simple acknowledgement would have satisfied us.

It is my custom to point to my meal on the menu in Mexico to avoid confusion. My husband pointed to the food order and price, there was no confirmation or clarification from our server.

My husband and I have been several times during our many trips to PDC and enjoyed Plank very much. We took our friends there this time. It was a disappointment. The steak temperatures were not cooked as requested. Our entrees took an exceptionally long time. Our server was absent during the long wait. Overall we were let down. I don’t think we will return for quite some time.

Food was good, we may have ordered the wrong dishes. Expected something different.
