Lovely Sunday lunch with friends
good food and good atmosphere
will go back soon
Perfect location for a family catch up over brunch. Food was great and service good. Didn't feel rushed which was nice as it was filling up fast by the time we were finished. Would definitely go again and flying fanatic husband appreciated the propeller fan and engine on the wall above the bar.
Visited PJ's for lunch. Very nicely laid out restaurant, with tables for two and small round tables for four. Fresh white tablecloths and napkins. The main feature is a three-sided bar with a suspended ceiling fan which is actually an aeroplane propeller.
Lunch is served from 11am-5pm with an extensive menu choice available, attractively served.
The service was fast and efficient, so will definitely return soon
Lovely atmosphere, great service and delicious food! Definitely recommend for excellent casusal dining.
Normal food pancakes were burnt
French toast normal not good not bad
English breakfast not good at all
A delicious brunch restaurant but gets very noisy after 1pm and too busy!
I can understand it was our waiters first day so that was acceptable, even though he got our order wrong and wound putting a dish on that was 10£more. The Bloody Mary looked like it came from a nightclub bar,the club sandwich had raw chicken in it and the second time it came around the bread wasn’t toasted. My sons dish that he didn’t order was fried with smelly old oil. At the end of it 87£ for brunch that was not about salmon and champagne to me is absurd!!!
The food is consistently good and the staff friendly and helpful.
What an awesome Sunday brunch scene. We got there at 1:45 and it was still non-stop. We had the avocado on rye with poached eggs and salsa verde...though their interpretation of "salsa verde" is pesto, so I was very glad that we'd ordered that on the side so it didn't ruin the dish. The staff were all professional and cordial, and the "scene" is awesome. Would defo go back.
Under staffed . Poor service. The head of the staff brought the bread an bitter an hour later and when being told about it replied rudely ... you want it or not? Instead of apologying . Nice hipster little look but bad manners.
A regular haunt when I visit London , never ceases to impress.
Good value for money , great range on the menu and service which is knowledgeable and friendly.
One has to visit.
I love PJ's, their menu is outstanding and it's always very hard to choose from it! The food is excellent, although on this occasion I felt the cod I had ordered was a tad on the dry side, not that it mattered much. The dining experience is very pleasant, service is good (staff is attentive but not over the top).
I definitely recommend having at least 2 courses if you're even moderately hungry. The food is delicious but the portions are on the smaller side.
I look forward to trying their brunch menu which looks spectacular as well! Quite different to your traditional spread. One of my fav South Ken restaurants for sure; has been for years and I suspect will continue to be.
Love PJ’s. We’re always made welcome and food is consistently good.
Great service, good food - prices just about right.
My wife and I went out for Christmas lunch first time ever. Had not been to PJs for years but the menu looked good and it was convenient. Food and atmosphere were both pretty good. Restaurant only about half to 2/3 full. Service was polite, attentive and very prompt though a bit too efficient as we were through three courses in just over 75 minutes and did not feel able to relax. Apparently they are tuned to turning tables within 2 hours despite the expectation that we could stay longer than 2 hours. We had 2 drinks along the way. While I understand that staff were working on Christmas overall I would summarise the meal as ok but rushed and overpriced for what it was.
We went for Christmas Day lunch and was very good. Nice service and good atmosphere and a lovely lunch. It’s a great bar restaurant and would recommend for drinks brunch dinner and most occasions. Good location too <5 mins walk from S.Kensington Station.
nothing great, chocolate lava was over baked, beef wellington overcooked and too much pastry dough on the inside, mince pies were definitely store bought.
Good to work with the team on reservations. We booked the fixed menu for Christmas lunch. We were disappointed with the turkey dinner. The ambiance was nice and the service excellent and attentive. Would probably not book again for a special occasion but would like to try some other time off the main menu.
Always very welcoming and reliable food and service.
Just my sort of place!
Always amazing. Absolutely love this restaurant, best truffle fries & pasta in town
Excellent service , very good traditional but not plain cuisine - refreshing to not have a plate of artwork .
Imaginative menu, well-prepared, very attentive service.
We had a great brunch at this super cool spot! Service and food was very good!
Food was very nice , lovely setting , service was average , slightly inattentive.
The service was terrible, we were sat down at our table and not given a menu until about 10 minutes after when we had to ask for one. The drinks took forever and the latte came out luke warm. We had to ask 4 different people to order our food. The food quality was good but again the service let it down. We ordered a couple of side dishes to go with our brunch and these sides came out 5 minutes before our breakfast so were cold when we got the chance to start eating them. Staff weren’t particularly friendly until the very end of the meal when we were paying!
Wrong dish brought for one of the diners and by the time the correct dish came the other diners had finished.
We were looking for a place that would be good to celebrate thanksgiving. PJ's offered a special menu for thanksgiving with the mandatory Turkey and trimmings. Nice, warm place with its two floors and central bar. The food was very good and the Turkey was delicious. Other choices were good on that special day menu. I just wished they had a kid menu for that day too, because at 30£+ for a 6 year old, well, it's a bit pricey. But overall a good dinner
We were direly disappointed with the service. Food and drinks arrived at drastically different times for each of us. The food was quite late. It took 40 min to receive a glass of wine, while other drinks were finished - we could not toast. We received no apology. Our guests had to squeeze towards the inner part of the table and felt crumbled in their chairs, as service and other people passing by would bump into their chairs on the outer side of the table. Overall we felt ashamed for bringing our guests here.
Just great all round.
I pancakes sono i piú buoni che io abbia mai mangiato in vita mia. L’aranciata é buona e il resto non ne ho idea.
Poor service. The waiters could not have looked less interested. Poor food. Overall not cheap, overly pretentious, terrible experience.
All good and the staff very helpful. Food delicious.
The front of house guy is super rude and abrupt, so we just left and went elsewhere. Not the first time here either with the same person. Appreciate it's busy, but still doesn't excuse rudeness.
Food was good. Lots of older men and younger companion women dressed to the nines. You make up your mind, but it looked like a pick up joint to us
Fantastic service and food in a great setting. Excellent brunch menu which is great value, especially in this part of London!! Will definitely be going back and sharing with friends.
Lovely brunch !
Good food, service a bit slow - had to flag waiter for water refills throughout the meal.
Decent value, except for desserts. An ice cream sundae (not overly large, thankfully) was
not at all worth £8.
Fantastic as always!! 😊
Not cheap, but a really good brunch and excellent service. We loved our waiter! 😊
