We had a wonderful time. Food was imaginative and delicious. Service was fine. It was a little chilly. They gave us blankets and brought a gas heater to our table.
We have been visiting This restaurant for 25 years and it has been a favourite. No more! Reduced menu options and food mediocre for a very high price. Off our list

Fabulous dinner - amazing service, perfect food
Went to Pitahayas for our 7yr anniversary and it exceeded our (very high) expectations! The food, drinks and service were fantastic! Easily top 3 dining experiences in Cabo. We will likely be back next week, that’s how good it is!
Fabulous food and attentive service. Excellent dinner!
Service was excellent and the atmosphere lovely. However the quality of the food has declined in recent years. The duck appetizer was cold and tasteless. The pork entree so slim we had to stop for tacos afterwards.
Como siempre maravilloso, la comida, el ambiente , el servicio. De los mejores restaurantes de Cabo
We went with a group of 8 people. arrived and promptly seated. It took more than 15 minutes later we got water, then another 15 minutes for cocktails, the service was trying to be good, but failed. Entrees arrived and one of the entrees was wrong, I would have chalked it to language barrier, but the person was fluent in Spanish and literally pointed to the entree he wanted.,He told them that he couldn’t eat seafood of any kind, but was served an entree with seafood. He didn’t get his original order, then they took it back and told him it would be a couple of minutes to fix his new entree. After about 20 minutes, after the entire group had finished their entrees, his was Delivered. We had a problem of ordering a bottle of wine, was poured and they took the bottle away. They couldn’t find the bottle so acted confused.
They had to open another bottle which I ordered, it was a cluster . They tried to make up for their errors with a single dessert. Nice gesture but the dessert wasn’t great either. They have the ability to be a great restaurant, but they slipped up. Very nice atmosphere.
The food was out of this world!
The food was very good. The service was mediocre. The staff were easily confused. They had a deal on for buckets of beer. If you want to call them beer. Very small!! Over all a pretty good experience.
The food was beautifully prepared and plated. Service was spot on. Dining by the ocean is always a plus.
The vibe at this restaurant is awesome. Great outdoor setting. A bit confusing on the menu choices as the Asian fusion influence does. It quite come across on the menu. The Shrimp risotto was excellent.
While we found the food quite good, we found the service to be slow and somewhat slack. The restaurant was not that busy but our waiter seemed to not notice us at first (we waited more than 20 minutes for someone to come but only after I went to the reception to ask). Our sense is that they prefer to cater to larger groups (six or more) rather than just two people.
Navidad comida raciones chicas
The service was dreadfully slow. We actually took our main course home as it took so long
The restaurant had to deal with rain coming through. Very accommodating, food was excellent. Everyone who works here loves their job!
Food is good tables a little bit uncomfortable
Ambience was very nice; food was good; kitchen took forever to get food out - waited almost 20 min on starters after ordering, and then mains showed up about an hour after starters. Servers were seemingly perplexed as to why it was taking so long - we asked our server three different times where our entrees were. It was strange that all the food came out at once for the bulk of the tables in the restaurant. Not sure if there was another event being supported by the kitchen; the chef showed up late; or they wanted to sell more wine on the back of the wine tasting event that evening.
We will try again to see if we just caught an off night for the kitchen.
Good food. Lovely place. Pricey.
Fabulous oceanside restaurant at the Sheraton along the tourist Corridor. We had appetizers and dinner, many different items to share. Everyone loved their food and all agreed we would come back. We decided best time to arrive would be just before sunset as the location was appropriate for appreciating sunset.
We had an incredible dinner to celebrate our anniversary. Wonderful food and great service.
We were asked when we arrived if we were celebrating anything; yes, our 36th wedding anniversary. We go through the whole meal and no acknowledgement of our anniversary was made - a drink, dessert anything. When the bill arrived, I asked why you ask if we are celebrating something and do nothing about it. They apologized and brought us a dessert, albeit not one of our choosing. For a restaurant of this repute and expense, I expected better.
Excelente atención y el lugar junto al mar extraordinario
We were in Cabo San Lucas for my sister’s wedding and we had ONE night free for dinner without family commitments. We wanted to have a memorable experience and boy did we. Let’s start with the venue: The restaurant is located inside the Sheraton Grand los Cabos Hacienda Del Mar. It is in a large pavilion above the beach with one of the best views that I have ever seen. After a drink in the comfortable bar area, we were escorted to our table overlooking the sea of Cortez. After a cocktail and a look at the well appointed wine list, we shared an excellent house salad with heirloom tomatoes. This was followed by a palate cleanser of raspberry sherbet, a nice and unexpected touch. We both had the surf and turf which was world class both in presentation, quality and taste. We split “the Coconut” for desert, definitely not to be missed. This is a “must visit” restaurant if you are in this part of the world. Although we enjoyed our stay in Cabo and had many good meals, this was by far the best. Being from the New York City area, we are spoiled when it comes to restaurants and the level of service and food that we expect. We were not disappointed.
La comida estaba rica, aunque el rib eye llegó frío y por lo tanto no se disfrutó igual. Todo lo demás excelente.
Todo muy bien, no tengo queja la atención fue excelente, muchas gracias
We have been there 3 times and they never disappoint. The food is absolutely delicious and the service is second to none!
This is a great place by the ocean. Great seafood, and very artistic presentation of all dishes, including the desserts. I highly recommend it.
Great outdoor setting
Would have been higher but two major issues 1.) a ton of flies outside, 2.) they had a sherbet desert in between meals that had a frozen fly in it and the waiter said it probably got on it when they brought it outside... um no sir, it was frozen in it. Not even a free desert or anything.
Second time to the restaurant..spectacular service and food!
Great food presentation and taste was outstanding.
Beautiful and calming atmosphere! The drinks were delicious and the food was out of this world. We all had fish which was fresh and cooked exactly as ordered. Two waiters attended our table. Their service was impeccable! The restaurant is nestled in the Sheraton resort along the Corridor.A bit of a drive from Cabo San Lucas to San Jose but worth it. We’ll go again next year.
Service is terrible. Food is good, but over-priced. We made reservation while still in the States so we could enjoy the full-moon party with a special menu of Tapas and Wine. We stayed at the Hacienda Del Marc (where Pitahayas is located) so walked to the restaurant the day before to confirm our reservation in person. When we arrived the next evening for dinner, we were informed the special Tapas and Wine for the full-moon party had been canceled. We decided to eat there anyway. Per our waiter's recommendation, we ordered a specific glass of champagne to compliment the oysters we ordered. The champagne was delivered 15 minutes AFTER the oysters. The two meals we ordered were not served simultaneously. Unacceptable for a 5-star restaurant. At the end of our meal we gave the waiter a discount coupon and asked for our check... which came 15 minutes later... without the discount. We asked again to apply the discount and waited another 20 minutes before the waiter suddenly remembered he still owed us the check. Waiting for over half an hour for your check is ridiculous, even by Mexico standards. We stay at the Hacienda every year and typically eat at Pitahayas at least once during every stay. Due to the consistent poor service, if we eat at Pitahayas again, it will be in their small bar (not the restaurant) where service is better. We won't be eating in main dining at Pitahayas ever again.
Loved our experience at Pitahayas. Dinner was delicious. I had the sea bass and two people at my table had the braised short ribs and loved them. Beautiful setting and very attentive staff
We’ve been going to Pitahaya’s for many years and always enjoy the experience. You cannot beat the beautiful setting and location. It’s very romantic as well. We ordered a special appetizers which was basically a sampler plate. It included the poke, duck tacos, coconut shrimp, and seared ahi tuna toasts. All were delicious. I had the catch of the day which was red snapper in a ginger butter sauce - thoroughly enjoyable. My husband had the braised short ribs which he said were delicious - and a huge portion. Our friends had the pork chop and the catch of the day blackened and they loved their meals. Pitahayas seems to keep getting better as the years progress!
The setting is only surpassed by the quality of the food (sourcing and presentation) and the outstanding service.
A lovely evening altogether. Beautiful atmosphere, lovely food and good service! Will come back!
