A wonderful place with an outstanding view and atmosphere. We were greeted by the general manager and seated by him with a spectacular view of the San Diego skyline. Food was great and service was en pointe!
Birthday celebration (not acknowledged), but good and friendly service
there was another couple fighting at next table, took away from the ambiance
Great service and beautiful view. I made reservations so I didn’t wait long for a table, however our table was pretty small.
Food was not that good. Who makes a shrimp cocktail with just spicy ketchup! I also had the pu pu platter and just did not have much flavor besides the coconut shrimp. That was good. The rest of the food 1 star. Only good about this place is the view of downtown San Diego ca.
It's my wife's birthday and I very much appreciate that they are allowed our party of 12. The ambiance is impressive, the view is spectacular, the food is great, the calamari .. oh, it's exceptional.
The service was a bit slow at the beginning, but the manager and our waitress went out of the way to make up for that. I enjoyed our dinner and would definitely go back again.
The food is very expensive and fair at best. Service was substandard
Wonderful dining experience!
Celebrated my Sister and her husband's birthdays for lunch. It was a beautiful day, we sat outside right on the edge of the water, with a gorgeous view of the bay and downtown San Diego skyline. The service was excellent - our servers were friendly and helpful. We ordered the Pupu Platter - every part of this platter was delicious! My favorite was the ahi tuna on seaweed salad nestled atop a bed of rice. We all the loved the Coconut Shrimp and Large Shrimps with cocktail sauce as well as chicken veggie egg rolls with a sweet & sour sauce...
Main entrees: my Sister and I had the Shrimp & Crab Louie Salad which was Delicious! Our husbands were ecstatic about their Steer Burger and Beyond Burger and fries! So glad they shared their fries with us gals... but warning - the fries are addicting! For dessert, we all shared the chocolate molten lava cake with ice cream (another addictive item to watch for!!)
We would definitely come back and recommend Peohe's to friends and family.
It was my friend birthday, the view was gorgeous. The service was great, no big issues. Don’t be surprised when you get the check. It adds up quick. Worth it though.
One of my absolute favorite restaurants. You can cut down on the cost by doing happy hour.
Kind of slow service during our visit. Seemed to be short on staff. We visited at 3.30 on Friday. Very good quality of food and the view is spectacular.
One of the most beautiful and romantic Dining venues in San Diego, located next to the Ferry Landing on Coronado, you have a view back across the water to the San Diego Skyline. The food is incredible and service almost always outstanding. Reservations are a must as this is also a popular venue.
The view is certainly the best part of lunch at Peohe’s.
Food is ok, but served cold after a very long wait. Wait staff needs training and there needs to be more of them during peak times.
I love Peohe's and have been coming here for over 25 years. I was excited to bring my friends there for a birthday celebration. Everything was wonderful except I think our service was new and was very slow. She seemed unsure of herself and we ended up being there for over 2 1/2 hours. I think new servers should be shadowing experienced wait staff so other customers don't have an experience like ours.
All of the dishes were expertly prepared and delicious, and the views can't be beat, though you're certainly paying for that view. Our server was friendly but disappeared for long stretches.
Excellent evening at Peohe’s! Server seemed a little rushed but he did a great job making us feel well taken care of. We had the kimchi calamari, lobster bisque, filet mignon with crab legs, and the no ok oi ice cream pie for dessert; all of which were delicious. The view over the bay is beautiful, and the restaurant has a lovely ambiance. Would definitely return.
A little overpriced for lunch. I though they would have more options for $15 or less. The seafood salad was overall tasty but the shrimp still had some veins and the cucumber tasted off.
Restaurant is so large that the service is slow. I think the waiter has to walk too far from the table to the kitchen
Beautiful restaurant with very poor service. We came there to celebrate my husband's Birthday and had to wait around 90 minutes before we got our main course (We each only ordered a single dish). After this lengthy wait, we didn't even feel like ordering dessert.
Everything about our experience was terrible. We will not be back.
We are snowbirds and spend the winter in the Palm Springs area. Every year we drive over to San Diego for lunch at Peohe’s. As usual our time there was relaxing and enjoyable. Our meal was delicious. Whitney our server was delightful and efficient. Can’t say enough good things about Peohe’s. If you haven’t been there it is a must.

Amazing restaurant, food and service were great! Can't wait to come back
Salmon in Bento box excellent, but rest of box a little dry.
View and service excellent.
Seated 40 minutes after our scheduled reservation.
Great spot, beautiful views of the city and Sea world fire works. Food was excellent. Only draw back was waiting 45 minutes to be seated in spite of a reservation.
The chef needs to put more gluten-free lunch options on the menu. Lunch dessert menu needs to be expanded as well. Waitress had too many tables to handle by herself. It was clear you were understaffed.
We ordered a chocolate lava cake and it did not ooze out the center like a normal lava cake. We asked the server if it was supposed to ooze out and she said yes. She took our plate and our normal server came back with a new one. We opened the inside and again it did not ooze out. Our server told us that’s how the lava cakes are and they are supposed to be baked through with a crunchy outside. She took it back and told us the manager wanted to see it. She came back with the check for our drinks and apologized that we didn’t like the lava cake. It was our anniversary we literally went there just for the dessert so we were super bummed. The server didn’t try to offer us a different dessert, she just got us the check and escorted us out. The food there is great, but do not order the lava cake unless you just want a chocolate cake with ice cream.
Poor service. Took over two hours
The service was poor for this type of restaurant. The beverages from the bar took 30 mins and the Mule was not drinkable. A starter salad came after entrees were served. This was way too expensive for the service
We had an excellent view. Calamari appetizer was delicious.
Took my family out to lunch on Easter. Waiter was late to table and drinks were late. Food came out and one member had wrong plate and had to wait until order was redone. Food was good, very tasty. The view was perfect. Employees for most part were cheerful and friendly. The chocolate lava cake was the best part. That is worth waiting for.
The PuPu platter, Crab stack and Coconut shrimp were great. The mock tails too. My sons prime rib was almost rare vs medium. It was very fatty. Almost 40%. We did get a new one that was actually medium.
The servers were overwhelmed. Our initial waitress was taken over by the bartender. We weren't by the bar so that was difficult with him all over. We were able to ask the initial waitress for her help many times. The wait for food was 35 mins from time of order. That was a bit much. Refills took 10 mins or so.
Terrible today, a lot off large groups, understaffed for amount of people. We got seated sat there for 15 minutes before we were approached, decided to order at this point. From the time I placed my order it was 1 hour before the food had arrived. The food was rush, not very good, bland fish, my wife had eggs Benedict, the worst she ever had. We asked for the bill and got out of there. Been in many times before and it seems the quality of the food is getting worse. Don’t know why, won’t be back anytime soon. I had better fish tacos off of a lunch truck. Disappointed.
Easter brunch 🐣 Love that they now require a credit card to hold reservations on peak holidays. This has eliminated long wait times that we’ve unhappily encountered in the past.
This time seating was quick and in a great location. Good service. Delicious food. Beautiful views.
Easter dinner was delicious. They had moved us inside after we requested waterfront. The manager quickly remedied the situation. Excellent place for a nice meal.
Such a pleasant experience. Their staffing was attentive, food delicious and view amazing.
Ordered right away... food came out 1 hour and 20 minutes later, gnats all over food on inside table, no busser to remove piled up plates, kind server but still not at all like ever before. Way under staffed
Kyle was wonderful from beginning to end. We were never without coffee!
