Well-spaced tables; good service. However, the bill allways seems to be much more than anticipated.
Excellent Italian for both couples or families. Very accommodating for specific requests
An excellent Italian restaurant serving classic Sardinian cooking.
Very good ingedients nicely cooked. Good wine list. Friendly,
polite, and prompt service.
The food was delicious. The restaurant was cosy and quiet.
Boutique restaurant, just off the Kings Rd, dined as a group, lovely personal touch of service, plenty of options on the menu, delicious food, Italian based wine list. Just the meal that we as a group needed. Really nice.
Tasty Italian food. Friendly staff and a good menu to cater for a couple of fussy eaters in our party. I’d say half our choices were very tasty and half were ok. A little expensive perhaps but then that’s the area. Was a little quiet but then we ate early and it was starting to get busier as we were leaving. The decor felt a little dated. Enjoyed dinner.
Warm welcome, together with courteous and attentive service and excellent food at a reasonable price.
Good fresh ingredients, consistent, unobtrusive service so perfect for conversation
How nice to see that this restaurant was busy on the night we visited. On other visits customers have been few. It deserves to be popular as it delivers good food and service.
Moved abroad, so happy to see that Pelicano is as wonderful as always: the attentive maître d
and friendly staff, the fabulous food and the reasonable prices. Make sure you get the Sardinian sheet music bread (pane carasau). We hope it stays around for a long time.
Pelicano is a wonderful neighbourhood restaurant. Quiet location. Very welcoming service and the food is always great.
Lovely place and fantastic food recommendations!! Love going to Pellicano, particualrly in the summer when you can sit outside.
Nice relaxed Thursday evening meal in a welcome relatively quiet restaurant.
Sometimes, quiet surroundings compliment a family lunch get-together. Charming place.
Excellent authentic Italian food with good service.
I have been going to Pellicano. Good predictable Sardinian fare - particularly the fish - decent wine list - and always excellent service. In good wether it is also nice to be able to sit outside
Very good restaurant
amazing little restaurant. feels like a traditional family restaurant in Italy :)
very authentic and fantastic food.
Perhaps not surprisingly, the restaurant was empty when we arrived and there was only one other table of two later. Notwithstanding, the maitre d couldn't find our reservation! Food and service were very average and we won't be returning to a restaurant we used to go to regularly.
We ate at lunchtime - barely anyone else there but the staff were charming and the food outstanding. We both had crostini to start with - delicious - my companion followed that with salmon which was cooked beautifully. I had guinea fowl - a great favourite - and I can honestly say I've never had it better-cooked than here. It was succulent, incredibly tasty and very tender. We didn't have pud - just delicious coffee - at the end of a quite exceptional meal. Thank you to all at the Pellicano - it was a delight.
We revisited after a long absence and we were not disappointed as standards were as high as the Pellicano we remembered. Overall a pleasant dining experience and a good Italian restaurant to rely on.
Nice place modern yet cosy but staff inattentive and made some small mistakes. Food pleasant. Good pizzas. Salad good . Staff All chatting to each other. Not focused on diners. No italian background music. Sitting outside is v nice. Good Quiet chelsea street.
The atmosphere, decor and venue was amazing. The food was delicious. The service was excellent. One of the best bathrooms I have ever used. Excellent wine recommended. Genuine Sardinian food. I will be going back soon and recommend others ear at this wonderful restaurant soon!
My husband and I were invited out to lunch by friends to Pellicano and had a delicious lunch. They offer a great set price lunch.
Noone batted an eyelid as we both settled for two starters - all delicious. Spoilt the vaguely slimming intentions with a slice of tarte tatin with cinnamon icecream, which was superb. It was quiet when the two of us were there for lunch and perfect for long conversation.
My 4th time dining here over the last few years. Thoroughly enjoyed the food - so much choice - well cooked and fresh. good service and a nice intimate and friendly ambience. I'll be back
A delightful Italian restaurant in the back roads of Chelsea. Quality of the food was very good and consistent across all of the courses. Service was good but the atmosphere lacked a little as the restaurant was not full - could this be because it was a weekend with the locals at their out of town residences?
Rented a flat in Chelsea and was looking for a great non-pub meal. The food was wonderful, ambiance good. Service was fine. Neighborhood gem.
A good choice from the menu in all courses.
All courses arrived well cooked and flavoursome. Wine was perfectly chilled. My 3rd visit here and very happy
The food was lovely but the staff need a shake up.We were not spoken too all night. No hello how are you, my names so and so,nothing at all.How can you not talk to your customers and that's all the staff not just one.
Food was nice but they really need to work on their bedside manner. That costs nothing.
All three of us had different dishes, all were excellent. Nice ambience and good value.
Booked to celebrate my partners birthday and as we were staying in Chelsea we could walk. Staff very friendly and helpfull. Food lovely and wine list good.
Our favourite neighborhood restaurant for delicious food that is consistently good. The staff is lovely and we always have a good experience when dining at Pelicano.
I was taken to Pellicanos for my birthday and it made the day very special. The bread was delicious and inventive, the pizza was generously sized and the service was efficient and they didn't pester us too much which I like.
We were fortunate the weather permitted us to sit outside for a pleasant lunch. It is out of the direct sunshine though, so brezzy and better for very hot days. We had a main course of octopus salad with fregola which was delicious and veal chop with vegetables, where the chop was a little tough and bare. Two glasses of crisp Pinot Grigio enhanced the meal. Service was friendly and prompt, ideal for a business lunch.
Made to feel really welcome. Incredible prawn starter.
We had dinner for 6. Food was excellent quality, staff were very welcoming, friendly to people of all ages and efficient. Was a quiet Sunday evening, but atmosphere was still good.
The quality of the food and understated but warm atmosphere make it suitable for families, for business meals or for a romantic evening.
We ordered the mixed fried fish for a main course and there was very little fish in it. The flavour was good, but I think I detected only two prawns and two small pieces of fish. Also without any floor and table coverings the place could get very noisy if full.
Pellicanino is a very welcome new addition to the local community in Chelsea Green. It has retained the friendly and relaxed atmosphere of Pellicano, while offering a slightly more informal menu. The quality of food is still very good, and the service is excellent. Well worth trying out.
