It's the 2nd time we've lunched there and it won't be the last
Mains took too long, complimentary bread and olives that weren’t ordered where charged without advising of this $14 charge, and $9 for still water - but it’s from Italy so apparently that justifies it being the same price as the sparkling. Pasta wasn’t cooked through, steak was cooked to perfection but didn’t justify over an hour wait from when entrees we’re finished.
The last time we were here it was amazing
Good service and good food - nice for a special occasion
Visited for the first time, lunch on Friday For a special 40th birthday lunch ( only 3 of us)
Decided to go based on instagram posts
The food looked good in the pics
I ordered the mussels a clams and had to ask for a finger bowl Then another bowl for the shells, customers should not have to ask for this, my daughters scallops were overcooked my pasta was cold and undercooked, we decided to give dessert a miss and finish with a limoncello meringue cocktail, which in the pics show a beautiful cocktail with brûlée Italian meringue peaks, we were served an insipid looking lemon cocktail with crushed up dry meringue which was sprinkled on top
Waitresses were wearing Red & blue ink stained grubby linen aprons, the decor is great but lacks the finesse of a fine dining restaurant it’s trying to achieve. Very disappointing
Great dining space with superb decor. Servers could be more welcoming and have good knowledge of the menu.
Food needs to be refined as both times I’ve dined there, the food has not been good. If a restaurant expects diners to pay a premium, it should be reflected in the food with an experienced chef.
My partner and I were overall disappointed in this experience and won’t be going back...
Basically, our booking was for 8pm, we were seated at 8:15-8:20. Which I suppose would be okay if everything else ran smoothly.
We waited another 20 minutes to order drinks and I wish I was exaggerating. Every other table seated after us was served first and even got their drinks and food first. I believe the waitress had forgotten to put through the drinks, I assume this, because we got our drinks after our entrees came out and I had to flag down the waitress.
I guess the use of notepads aren’t really effective when multitasking and flicking through pages to put through orders as some are forgotten...
After we had ordered the drinks at 8:40, we waited an extra 10 minutes to order our food. At this stage we were the last table to order and missed out on a preferred dish due to high demand.
Food wasn’t worth the money, oysters with pear kruskovac wasn’t anything special, just like a slushy on an oyster, calamari was ok, the zucchini flowers were probably over fried and gave a strong oily taste that was left in your mouth which took away the taste of the dish. I felt the pasta I had was a bit more on the undercooked side rather than al dente and the plating of the pork dish looked unappetising.
The hour wait for an hour of unsatisfying meals... would not recommend to be honest.
The service was great, our meal tasted amazing and we didn't wait too long for each course. It's fine dining so it was a little pricey but I recommend trying it out.
It is over priced but has a lovely ambience - mgmt didn’t follow through on my request to sit away from the door and so we were freezing all throughout dinner
Very crowded for the rules regarding COVID....we had a table for 4 and we 2 people from other tables within 1m....? The food was ok...we won’t be rushing back
Food was delicious, staff were friendly & the venue was great!
A great dining experience, the staff and food was amazing .
We had a magnificent meal. Our waitress was very prompt and polite.
We will be back to this beautiful venue.
Food was ok. Not amazing
Awesome friendly staff. The freshness and quality of the food is first class.
The food was delicious and the ambience was nice. My only concern was that it was not very well "socially distanced". There were two events being held at the time and several large group bookings. It felt crammed- I would have expected them to be more responsible with their reservations.
The food here is outstanding, (kudos to the chef), The restaurant itself beautiful, first class, unfortunately, the table service from some of the younger staff was well below par for a fine dining experience, and requires training to match the quality of the restaurant. I see this problem in other reviews too. But the calamari, melt in the mouth, the lamb shoulder with mushroom risotto, was to die for. Overall, we had a lovely dining experience, although gets a little noisey due to acoustics of the room, on the pricier side but look forward to dining there again. Would definitely recommend.
A little over crowded for social distancing.
Had to wait 45 minutes just to order food. The staff were nice when you were able to get one. I know that times are challenging but I think the team need to be up skilled and need to be faster. If we try this place again it would be during the week because I feel like the floor staff could not handle the pressure. The food was well presented and tasted great.
We came here for date night, and the service and food were amazing.
Wonderful celebration here for a birthday- food was lovely and staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and help celebrate the day. Would 100% recommend.
The food and wine was absolutely beautiful, excellent service, very friendly staff, will definitely recommending peca to friends in the future
This was our first dining experience there. We were very impressed with the place and the food is very very nice. Something different from the other Italian restaurants around the area. Generous serving portions for the mains. We ordered entrees and main and we were full by the time the mains arrived. My only regret is that we weren't able to have the Brudet (essentially spaghetti marinara), for take away, after just around 5 fork-ful of the dish (it was that big!), as they do not have take-away containers of it (hubby complained to me about pay for it lol). The Tiramisu for dessert was really good and big enough to share (depends on how much you like your Tiramisu).
Will definitely be returning
Kudos to the Chefs - food was incredible! The service however was atrocious - the Manager didn't seem to have confidence in his staff so would try wait all tables on his own with his staff serving drinks and clearing tables - made for a slow and painful service experience which was unacceptable given the amount of money you're paying. We noticed other patrons complaining about the same.
The restaurant ran out of a large range of seafood before 8pm. We were also charged $40 for bread but sadly only realized when we got home.
Very disappointing experience - the food was incredible however due to the poor service, we will not be returning and will not be recommending to our family or friends.
Food was great, manager was amazing. It was a bit noisy but didn’t bother us too much
Lovely friendly service. Good food. Nice decor. Would definitely return.
A really classy restaurant and superb food and service. A little expensive but overall well worth it. A great treat for a date night.
Oysters with pear granita and cucumber were amazing. Arancini were good but a bit too big with too much rice. Bistecca Dry Age was outstanding, melt in your mouth. Slow braised Junee lamb shoulder wasn't as soft as I expected it to be and the risotto was under seasoned. Tropical and lime semifreddo was devine; perfect way to finish the night with a light and sweet dessert. Overall mood was fine dining and service was very attentive. Looking forward to our next visit and to tasting the rest of the menu.
The food was absolutely amazing, will come back again.
Was rather disappointed by menu selection and availability of certain dishes.
Service was ok but could of been better.
Food available was very nice though.
This was our third visit and it was quite underwhelming. The waitress was not great. She would walk near our table when we were trying to make eye contact because there was no salt, the wine hadn't arrived, then there were no wine glasses and walk straight past. If she had been at all busy we would've understood, but it was a very quiet Sunday night.
Our scampi entrees sat on the pass for more than five minutes while the waitress chatted to the bartender, even though they were not busy. She didn't even wish me a happy birthday.
The food was okay, but not great. We ordered bread, oysters, scampi, granita refreshments, a seafood platter, cocktails, a bottle of wine and desserts (with a dessert wine) and nothing was great. We didn't even get the bottle of wine until the seafood platter arrived. The sides came out a long time after the seafood platter and even though the potatoes were great we really wanted salt and had to wait again. There was no dressing at all on the pear salad.
Each time the waitress brought something to our table she would suddenly realise she hadn't cleared dishes which had been left sitting for 10-20 minutes. She also dropped cutlery and then took it away, forgetting to replace it. There was no finger bowl and only two prawns on the whole platter.
We would much rather eat here and get an uber home than go into the city but spending over $400 for a not that great evening means we prefer going into the city and paying for a hotel room in future. So disappointing!
Quite an amazing night very happy with the food and service will come again thank you very much for the lovely night
Went to Peca for my wifes birthday and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Highly recommended
My second time there and loved it. nice and quiet, great food. brilliant experience
High quality food, great wine, excellent service and beautiful decor
Disappointing - three entrees of five/six options were not available reportedly due to them being seasonal.
Excellent food, service and ambience. Good location with convenient parking. Will definitely return for another visit.
Fabulous food and dining experience. Love everything about Peca
Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, little pricey, my dessert wasn’t great I spoke to the waiter, the manager came straight over and offered me s new dessert and a complimentary drink from the bar.
Took a while for dessert to come out and the dessert was dry and didn’t taste very good.
