Unfortunately our experience was unpleasant due to be charged for items we did not order. Service was rushed and the restaurant appeared to be understaffed.
We booked for a Christmas lunch last Sunday. When booking we had the option of sitting inside or outside and we chose inside. When we arrived we were advised that there was a function on inside and we had to eat outside. We weren't happy about this as it was a really hot day and there was a fair bit of smoke from the bushfires. Having no option we sat outside. There was no fans so the air under the veranda was very hot and still, making it uncomfortable. Several other groups arrived to also find they had no choice to sit outside, however their complaints must have been more valid than ours as two of these groups were allowed to sit inside, something we weren't offered. Once the food came out we were inundated with flies. All of our meals had flies landing in them so we spent our meal trying to swat them out of the way. It was so annoying that we left half of our meal and didn't stay for dessert. It was a real shame because the food was delicious. We had the seafood platter for two and the scampi, none of which we could fault. I would happily recommend this place for the food but maybe not so much for the seating arrangements/booking system.
-bad experience for seafoodlover.
-ordered lemon limebitter. they were mixed with soda water. tastless. charged $7.
-seafood platter was dried. tastless. no dressing . crab was so stink. should have done alot better for price they charged.
grilled chicken with chips for kids meal was dried and hard.
only good was sevice with smile. not going back
Unfortunately for us it was not a very pleasant experience pecca on this night had slow service burnt scampi the beef was quite fatty the snapper was good oysters and ravioli were good . The table got a wipe over with a cloth after mains were cleared. I would have liked to have the service to match the prices they charge .
Absolutely delicious food was overshadowed by front of house staff shouting instructions to each other. The placement of our table meant that by the end of the night we had been yelled over by them several times.
We dined at PECA with 2 other couples.
The experience was disappointing. 2 Couples ordered the seafood Platter which was high in Price and low in content. Not even a piece of Fish. A Blue Swimmer crab was the centrepiece Hard to eat and Small in size. 4 scallops,4 Oysters natural a little smoked Salmon ,4 Calamari Rings ,One Scampi,2 Large Prawns and some marinated Octopus.
The other Couple ordered Rissitto ,Lots of Rissotto and little Marinara,
and a Pork Belly, mostly Fat and not tender.
The Coffees were Luke warm.
The olives and Bread for starters was Good
Certainly will not be returning anytime soon.
Have been twice already and already can’t wait to come back again!
Peca is a welcome step up for dining in the MacArthur region. Our meal was excellent, however there were two things I would comment on. We asked our waiter for information on ingredient and he didn't know what it was, this is common in staff in this area, something that doesn't happen in the city. We were seated at the back of the restaurant looking onto what I gather is a function room which was empty. The ambience would be greatly enhanced of there curtains on the windows, otherwise it is a lovely room.
It was my first time at PECA after a lot of friends had recommended it and it didn't disappoint. We were in awe of the beautiful interior and the ambience that surrounded us. The service was amazing, very down to Earth which is something we were pleasantly surprised with. Very friendly staff, not to mention the food was amazing. We will definitely be back.
Thank you for a fantastic evening! Your service is outstanding! We loved every element put in front of us and we will be sure to be back, and soon! FAULTLESS!
I have been to Peca three (3) times, once for lunch and twice for dinner. I have found that the service is excellent, the food impeccable and the ambience relaxing. I have and will keep recommending Peca to everyone that I know! Thank you Peca for making our night a great experience!
My husband and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary there this week & we really enjoyed our meal, Antonio looked after us, there was a really nice ambiance and we felt comfortable all night .
We highly recommend this restaurant.
Beautiful restaurant, excellent service and amazing food..
Was disappointed due to a private function in the outside area. Noise was extremely loud and guests were walking though the main restaurant . We left after coffee as the music was so loud in the private function with the doors being constantly opened with the guests continually walking through the restaurant
Fabulous food, excellent service, great atmosphere. Highly recommend!!
Beautiful decor and ambience, the cocktails were amazing. The service was a little slow and the food sounded great on the menu but was very bland.
We have dined at Peca twice now and the food has been fantastic. The atmosphere is great and the staff are friendly and very helpful. Would recommend for any occasion.
Beautiful food and excellent service!!!! Will definitely be dining at Peca again soon!!!!
The food was excellent. We had a seafood platter. The fish was exceptional. Excellent friendly service.
Waited 40 mins to be seated despite a booking. Sat at the bar whilst waiting but had to call waiters over to order drinks. No explanation for the wait so we were just left to wonder what was going on.. confusing as there were multiple free tables the whole time. We were given complimentary bottled still water for the wait, which was just ridiculous.. why bother? Food was OK. Overpriced. Friendly staff but service was not at all seamless. The vibe is that of inexperienced wannabe restaurateurs disguised by the appearance and price tag of a fine dining establishment. Waste of money.
We booked for a special occasion and were not disappointed. The service was amazing and nothing was a problem. The food was top notch and very tasty, very well presented and cooked as requested.
- Asked for olive oil or butter to go with our bread, took half an hour to come despite several reminders to the waiters! Was told they were waiting on small dishes to serve it in - must have ran out?? After half hour it came and by that time our table was starving and we’d consumed all our bread!
- Mains took even longer! We were seated 7:30pm, 9:30pm came and still no mains! Took 2 hours until it arrived. Was difficult to get the attention of the waiters!!
It was a very bad experience...
The service was impeccable.
All of the staff were very professional and dressed appropriately for a fine-dining restaurant. Our waiter saying Happy Birthday we were given special treatment and a great position in the restaurant. The food was exquisite not only was it perfectly made and presented the portion sizes were spot-on. between courses a palate cleanser was given and dessert menu with dessert wines was given also. I have referred this place to floods of friends and will return many times over.
Excellent service, delicious food. Seafood incredibly fresh. Serving oysters with shell on a novel idea as well as keeping moist. Scampi so moist and delicious as well.
Looking forward to return and our friends who dined with us were so impressed, they are recommending other friends as well. Thank you
Great to have fine dining within walking distance. All the staff were very attentive and the food was great.
Outstanding food couldn’t fault a thing. It’s a must try restaurant:)
Although the staff were friendly and helpful, the food needs much improvement. The spaghetti dish wasn’t with spaghetti but unusual flat pasta, the sauces were salty and the shellfish was fresh and tasty but was cold. We understood that all fish was cooked in the fire oven but that was not the case. The staff kindly gave us desserts on the house which we appreciated as the venue is a great space visually. We probably won’t return again
we had father days lunch and mostly it was great but my 24 hour slow cooked beef checks were very tough
and it was not enjoyable to eat
even though the food was good I found it to be very pricey and didn't like the fact we were for water but was not given the option for tap water I will probably eat there again but only for a very special occasion
The fine dining we needed for SW Sydney. Excellent food, service and atmosphere. A very fine restaurant, IMO
Great service, especially the main lady and delicious food. Pricey but well priced for special events (wedding anniversary with my wife).
On another note, ne sat near the rear doors (good view to the terrace and fire place) which had their gas mounting removed/unscrewed which meant the doors stayed open when people went in and out. Unfortunately for us (and not the restaurants fault) kids kept going in and out leaving the door open and the cold night air in.
Fine dining at it's best. Great food very friendly staff. A pleasant dining experience.
Amazing food, very friendly and welcoming environment. Will be going back again soon.
The menu was only short but the choices were all very different. From entrée to desert the food was fantastic. Service was friendly and very welcoming. I had booked the wrong date and they were very accommodating to fit us in even though the restaurant ended up being full.
Love the ambiance, food and the customer service is outstanding! I highly recommend Peca!!
The food was impeccable and the service matched. We had a very enjoyable first experience at PECA.
Such an amazing experience! Service was amazing and food was just incredible
Great place to have a nice dinner with friend or family. Easily accessible.
Peca is a lovely Italian restaurant with some Croatian menu items. Although there are kids menu items I would leave the kids at home for this one. Most menu items were reasonably priced although on the high side however my main issue would be the cocktail prices. All over $20 which is quite steep.
We arrived when the venue opened.
Started really well ! Beautiful venue, our entrees were excellent, both our mains were over salted. That was a let down. A few things were forgotten throughout the night eg. a spoon for my entrees and limes for my drink.
Service went down hill from our mains as the restaurant started to get busy. We were offered a dessert menu then waited 20-25 minutes for someone to actually take our order, my partner and I didn’t want to wait any longer so we got up and paid.
We wouldn’t come back in a hurry.
