We haven’t been to Passionfish in many years, not sure why but it happens. We were able to sit outside which was lovely and our server, Matt, was delightful! He was also very helpful and knowledgeable in food and wine selections! Service was excellent and our meals were very good. 2 swordfish that was very fresh, a perfect thickness, (so many places cut it too thinly), and cooked perfectly. 1 scallops with pea risotto which was very good also, and 1 whole branzino again cooked perfectly! All in all a very enjoyable evening! Thank you Passionfish and Matt!
Anniversary dinner. The staff went out of their way to make it special.
Such a great experience, first time back since COVID. Quiet! And soft-shell crabs were superb!
The Food and Service were very good. Nice wine selection. Really enjoyed the 1/2 price wine on Sundays.
Great place to dine! Sorry to see Eduardo leave Passion Fish in Reston. We will visit his new restaurants in Boca Raton, Ft. Lauderdale and Miami in the near future.
Amazing time with my sister! We enjoyed the food and ambiance. ❤️
Wow- first time and we LOVED it! The variety, creativity and cool vibe was great.
Dinner was fine, however our waiter kept the cooler for our bottle of white wine at his Serving Station and filled glasses at the next table with OUR bottle. (They were drinking the same wine). We brought this to his attention and he denied doing it. He was a bit 'huffy' with my wife and I for the rest of our dinner. In his defense, the restaurant was very busy last night, but the wine cooler should have been kept next to our table; not at his service station.
Service was poor - long waits for cocktails, appetizers, entrees.
waitress seemed to have too many tables to tend.
Complained to manager after dinner.
Her only response:"We're doing our best".
Passionfish will be "doing it's best" from now on without me.
Expected service to be a little slow and it was. The menu is condensed, prices are up, unfortunate but also to be expected. Food was terrific as always and we will be back.
We had an outstanding dinner at Pashionfish and I can't wait to go back! The waiter was amazing!
Great service, Great service, Great service, Great service
We really enjoyed our dinner . However , the booth we sat in was way too tight . No one in our party is large . The table was pressed up against us to the point that it was uncomfortable . The noise level was very high . The service was inattentive . We will probably not return .
PassionFish was excellent as usual. Our server was fantastic; very friendly, energetic and extremely knowledgeable about the wine and food menus. We’ve dined here several times since the pandemic started, but this was the first time the place was relatively crowded and lively, almost back to normal.
I had my normal red curry lobster and our friend tried it for the first time as well. It did not disappoint. And dinner wouldn’t be complete without the donut holes.
Food was ecellent. I love that they scaled down the menu to offer fewer items than the last time I was there a year or so ago. Selections were great and our waiter, Geoff was on point
Consistently good. Noticed the prices may have gone up somewhat (like many restaurants) in this COVID lag period but willing to support this fine establishment and see it fully recover. The Bethesda location closed this past year and would hate to see the Reston location follow.
Had a great time celebrating our 30th anniversary.
The food is delicious and the free champagne and dessert top our celebration
Fantastic food and service . One of our favorite restaurants.
Everything needed salt or would otherwise be very bland. Had the tomato salad and the black grouper. Service was excellent.
Outstanding service, mediocre food for the price.
We were misquoted on market prices, and drowning in dishes the entire time. We had to stack dishes and rearrange them on our table so our kids could eat. TERRIBLE service. Once our waitress recognized her first mistake, she never visited us again unless we got up and flagged her down. Other waiters were more attentive. Overall this was McDonald’s-level service at much higher prices.
Our server was amazing and was able to answer all our questions regarding the menu. The courses we had were very smooth to eat and we loved the salmon sunrise sushi the best.
Wonderful fresh seafood. Great service! Attentive not pushy.
They did not seem to know it was our anniversary.
The Thai lobster curry was an alarming $46 and though tasty, was over priced.
Quality of food, service, presentation, and ambiance is worth the dining experience.
Always excellent. We had a Friday night patio dinner and the seafood is always fresh. The got oysters, dumplings, and the crab cakes and we split a bottle of Opus One. Our server went above and beyond. I don’t know his name but we have been served by him multiple times and he always lets us know about the specials and takes special care when we order wine. He knows about all the wines on the
list and can always answer any question we have about the food.
Excellent Food and Service! Gerard the manager made sure Everything was spot on perfect!
I’ve dined hear several times now and have enjoyed it each time. The service is exceptional. The food it great. It’s quiet enough to have a group conversation. Love this place.
Well done fir early post/pandemic. Kudos to the wait staff!
Matt, our server provided peerless service. An enjoyable evening. Passion Fish was on their game!
Excellent. Waiter was very attentive
Service was excellent. Fish was delicious. Salads and sides were fine.
Great food and great staff. Will definitely be going back.
Impressed with how well they dealt with the issue in Reston yesterday with lack of natural gas to cook. They quickly put together a reduced however still delicious menu !
Good food, great service. A bit noisy for a business dinner, but not too bad.
Very nice food was perfect nice dinner with my wife
Disappointed in my beloved Passion Fish. Won’t be back again until they are back to their pre CoVID quality. The service was great but the food was nothing special for the price. Spring rolls not impressive and salad was just greens and so heavily dressed it was almost wilted. Nothing special for $11. Equivalent to a bagged salad at giant. We sat outdoors and The couple behind us ordered a fish entree and we could smell it from our table. Smelled like bad fish. Certainly not fresh. Fresh fish should not smell. That made me worried about getting raw fish sushi. I used to look forward to dining here for a special occasion but won’t be back any time soon.
Fresh fish. Great service. Ask for Rene’ he’s amazing and made our experience the best.
We had an amazing time, our server was amazing and he took care of us. Most definitely will be back!!
The table we sat at upstairs was off to the side by the staircase. Given the hot and humid weather the air condition was working at full capacity but it was still a bit stuffy in this niche. The waiter and the manager went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. We were offered another table downstairs where it was cooler as well as an option to bring over a fan. The manager brought over the fan, positioned it so that there was some air movement and we were comfortable without being blown away. My husband and I greatly appreciate their thoughtfulness and attitude to make sure everything was taken care of. And on top of this wonderful service, the food was delicious too!
