This is one of the BEST restaurants in the LES. The device, the staff, and, most importantly, the food were absolutely amazing. I recommend for sure!!!
Small French restaurant which packs a punch. It's quite amazing to see such a small kitchen be able to serve this quality of dishes. Highly recommended year round.
Staff was exceptionally professional but not stuffy. The food was very good, the squab was outstanding with the date chutney and confit...wine selection was pleasantly accommodating. Open kitchen which is a nice touch.
This was my 5th or 6th time at Papilles. The service, the food, the wine, all amazing. Best kept secret of NYC!!!! Thank you Papilles.
Papilles is one of the best French restaurants in New York City. The quality and preparation of food they serve, the exquisite plating and perfectly timed service rate five stars. To begin, we enjoyed their "mises en bouches," tiny, single-bite tastes of fabulous food. What followed were unique interpretations of leek soup, a delicate Dover sole and melt-in-the mouth venison and dessert to die for. Healthy chunkc of rustic bread were served with smooth, olive-oil topped butter. Best bread ever. The prix fixe menus offers three, five or seven courses and is fairly priced. I'd like to keep Papilles a secret because the restaurant is so tiny, but they deserve all the patronage and fame that is sure to follow.
Every dish was incredible. The service was incredible. The wine was incredible. Would go back tomorrow if I could! Recommend to anybody looking to celebrate a special occasion, go on a nice date, or just want a delicious dinner!
Very good food. Great value, even with wine! Will go back.
Great service, food and attention to detail.
Menu choices were excellent and every plate is a work if art.
The food is amazing, very creative with perfect mix of flavors and textures! I highly recommend this restaurant which is one of my favorite restaurant in NY.
The food and the service is unpretentious and perfect
From the Sang Chaud cocktail to the amazing chocolate dessert, a lovely progression of complex and delightful flavors. We decided on the 3 course tasting, but all agreed we should come back again for the 5 course. A lovely evening.
Great service, great food, what more can you ask for?
A star-worthy meal as always. Thank you. I will never get tired of this place.
We've been to Papilles over and over again this year and every time we exclaim how perfect the flavors combinations are, the presentation, the service, the experience. One of New York's great restaurants in a very pleasant, no nonsense package. Thank you!
Every course was delicious
It was definitely amazing! Service and food were great. The portion was good enough too! Very very good value.. it definitely is a hidden gem in nyc.
Great meal and wine pairings. Agnolotti was outstanding.
They did a very nice job helping us celebrate our 5 year anniversary. Would recommend and will go again!
The food was delicious, wine pairing was perfect and waiters were very nice
The food was fabulous and the service was just perfect. It was a memorable anniversary dinner for sure. We'll be back soon!
Incredible value for a 5 star meal in nyc
Fantastic food & service, though a bit small
We love this restaurant and come here for all our special occasions. The food is creative, spectacular and divinely delicious. It is small and intimate and feels like you’re dining with a wonderful — and talented!!! — French family. It’s a gem!
This is a very charming place with a tasty and beautifully served prixe fixe tasting menu with three, four and five course options. The service is excellent and the food really good. Interesting mixes of flavors and ingredients. They are also very helpful if there are allergies. The wine list is not very extensive, mostly French, but quite adequate. It is also possible to have a wine pairing with the prixe fixe tasting menu It is quite small so the noise level is generally low which is a huge bonus. I would certainly return.
The food and service were amazing!!!!
Amazing food! Know that the choices are limited, really limited. We'll definitely return.
Absolutely wonderful experience! Gourmet French food without all the butter. We had such an amazing experience - service was wonderful. Will return soon!
Papilles is a restaurant with an extremely small and narrow dining area. There are 10-two top tables that can be rearranged to accommodate larger parties. The restaurant's decor is rather plain which affects the ambiance; however, when it comes to food and service the restaurant scores 5-stars. The dinner is offered prix fixe with a choice of three, five or seven courses. No matter how many courses you select, the food is delicious. Each course is beautifully presented and the food is delicious. There were three servers that provided courteous and excellent service to all diners. I highly recommend Papilles to anyone looking for an upscale delicious dining experience.
This restaurant provided an experience just as if it were in France. Every bite of every course was perfection. The agnolotti was feather light and intensely flavored. The lamb chops could be cut with a fork. The strawberries were perfectly ripe. The selection of wines was well chosen.
The space is modern, minimal, and tiny - made for millennials - not a 70th b'day dinner. But the food and service won us over. Lovely meal.
The cocktail, pampolamousse, a terrific, subtle use of grapefruit juice. The five course dinner is worth every penny. The interweaving of flavors in each dish makes one realize French cuisine remains the gold standard for food. Served European style with time between the courses for conversation and relishing what you just ate. The wine pairing is worth the extra money. They were spot on for each dish.
Excellent. Tasting menu options provide good value and opportunity.
Quaint, excellent food, great service. Highly recommend this little gem of a restaurant.
Great service & attention to details
Creative, well presented & tasty food
A very good experience
One of the best restaurants in the country with an incredible focus on ingredients, service and creativity. We enjoyed the five course tasting menu and the leek tart was an excellent first course followed by tuna ribbons that were so fresh they had to be hours old. The fish and veal courses were light and flavorful and the desserts though limited were equally delicious.
This is a true jewel and we wish the owners great success
It’s a trendy little understated place serving light phenomenal well orchestrated both in flavor and presentation kind of modern French food.
It’s a Lilliput place with a Goliath superb flavor. I would rather eat here than the pretentious super expensive place. I will go back and definitely noted in my list of go to restaurant.
This restaurant is absolutely amazing and worthy of at least a Micheling star. From the cocktails to the cooking and the wine, no restaurant I went to so far beats the experience, especially at this price entry!! Thank you for yet another amazing evening Papilles!
Interesting cocktails, good wine. The food was fantastic. We did the five-course tasting menu and ordered cocktails and wine a la carte. Really overall one of the best meals we've had in the neighborhood in quite a while. Very attentive (but not hovering) service also. All around, a real gem.
Amazing! Food and service!
