Staff are great and make sure you have a good time, being helpful and attentive. Food isn’t much like the subtle flavours of Goa itself, instead it has been enhanced to appeal to the British view of a curry, but it is excellent value in an expensive part of town and decent quality.
Feels like being in India - Superb food, good Service.
Very authentic food. Nice service and reasonable priced food.
Went for my birthday with 10 people. Really good food and good service.
Our focus was on Goanese style dishes which were all very good to excellent. Restaurant environment is pleasant and service very good. Highly recommended.
Very tasty food in a no-frills atmosphere. Quiet. Friendly. Highly recommended for a casual dinner. Also, the Goanese options are a really nice change of pace.
A group of 10 of us all really enjoyed Palms of Goa. Great food, service and excellent value for money.
Good atmosphere and reasonably priced tasty curry. Definitely go again. Need to book peak times.
Good service and good food.
Excellent food, the best place for the first acquaintance with Indian food.
Disappointed ,average food, good friendly service, overall underwhelming
Excellent food and friendly staff. Arrived late due to bus driver not permitting one person to purchase more than one ticket (bizarre), some of our party were not from the UK and could only pay cash, which was not accepted either. Called up and they kept our reservation open despite it being a busy night. Very freindly staff, service excellent, never an empty glass but not pushing the drinks either. Cosy but smart decor, food delicious, will return.
Relaxed, informal and vibrant restaurant. Choice is good, quality of food outstanding, with good portion sizes. Service couldn't have been more attentive despite a very busy Saturday night. Value for money was excellent, they should charge more! Would fully recommend.
Cheap meal. Great food. Very tasty and lots of choice. Very good value for money. No atmosphere at all though
The food was very good however the place was too noisy. It was difficult to hold a decent conversation
Very good Indian food served in a casual and cozy atmosphere. It's also quite cheap!
Great service great food love this place
Very good food, authentic and quality Indian. House wine very good value. High quality meat in the tandoori choices
First of all the welcome part was very friendly. Then the waiter explain the food very honestly.the food was extremely delicious. This is a family restaurant with very reasonable prices.the wine list was ok,we chose the shiraz one,and made us very happy.I would recommend this restaurant to anybody without any hesitation
For food, atmosphere and prices, we like Palms of Goa better than Zaika and Bombay Brasserie (which we also went to recently). Delicious food and a comfortable cosy place. We had fresh okra which was excellent. They have cold Indian beer. The owner Mr. Dias was very friendly. We had an enjoyable evening. We would like to go back and try the fish curries and more dishes.
The best ... best food i have ever had in london.. the staff is very welcoming n so attentive. The food is super tasty n yum its like u get addicted its sooo good... cant wait to go back again
friendly staff, all well organized and the waiting time was fine too (20-30 minutes)
food very fresh and tasty
quality and price match well
would go there again
Lovely evening. Attentive staff and excellent food, recommended.
For me, best restaurant for Indian food in London. Seriously amazing food, the staff is very kind although a bit slow but nothing too bad. And the quality of the food more than makes up for it !
excellent pre theatre restaurant, nice food good service. thanks.
Another pleasant evening with old friends enjoying the hospitality and atmosphere of this authentic Indian restaurant
Good food, very flavourful. Place was very busy and it was very noisy. Service pretty but strained. Would come back on a less busy evening.
We were depleted in numbers due to the Southern rail problems, but had a very enjoyable meal at Palms of Goa. Staff very friendly and service was good, although the restaurant was not very full. My Fish Thali was very good, and the food enjoyed by the others looked good too. Not overpriced for Central London.
I would certainly go back.
Booked a table for 2 based on some good reviews. However I should have been suspicious at the fact that there were only 6 reviews. Having booked via Opentable they apparently didn't receive it. But despite being busy, they found a table for us. The restaurant is very small and hot so they had to leave the door open and it looked like a cheap diner. Not nicely decorated at all. The service was friendly and polite but the food was extremely disappointing. We had a chicken goa curry and tikka massala. Both lacked fresh spices and seemed to come straight from a tin or jar. The massala was burnt so my girlf barely touched hers. I am no chef, but I can slap up a better curry in 15 mins. We ended up leaving pretty quickly and having to get more food afterwards. I would recommend avoiding this place as there are many better options.
Wonderful food and very affordable. Only drawback, there was a party of 8 in the dining room...while they were very happy with food and drink...they became very loud. Space small inside.
Charming owner and staff - taking great care and attention to see that everything was good. Interesting food - tried the pumpkins curry, Goanese style fish curry and a Goanese style lamb curry. Superb fresh naan bread. Ice cold beer. Not the most spacious restaurant but the warm welcome, attentive staff and very good curries made this a very enjoyable visit.
I really loved this place. Small but quaint. I ordered the chicken tiki masala "spicy" and it did not disappoint!
Spotted this restaurant whilst wandering down Charlotte street, so booked a table for the evening & what a find! We were not disappointed, the staff were very accommodating & we had a table outside as requested, the service was impeccable, the food was delicious & all served on hot plates ( an added bonus).
I would strongly recommend this restaurant & will definetly be returning next time we are in London. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality & interesting history regarding Charlotte Street.
This Goan restaurant is brilliant if you are in the area. Do not be put off by the simple decor and furnishings . The food is delicious particularly the Goan specialities. We chose a Goan lamb curry whose name I cannot remember. I have never tasted such an interesting curry. Service is efficient and friendly . For Central London the value is outstanding. Thoroughly recommended.
The food was very good, the host attentive and very polite. We have been there for the first time and were made very welcome and we will definitely come again.
