Very good food, friendly efficient service, comfortable room. Very pleasant experience. Perfect when going to a movie next door.
Very nice modern restaurant, prices are mid range... good service... will recommend
A surprise in an underserved area. Conveniently near the Landmark movie theater. Very nice ambiance, service and food. Will definitely go again.
This is a wonderful restaurant with very diverse menu. Great wine list and attentive service.
Good local spot when seeing a movie at the Landmark.
The atmosphere at Ouisa is bright and uplifting. Went on a Sunday night to find a fairly full restaurant. Got water and complimentary breads to start. Slight delay in getting our waitress but after 10 mins it was smooth sailing. Service was good. Decent Greek red wine was a nice surprise. Pan roasted chicken, hummus, gnocchi, French fries and meatballs were all very good. Falafel was dry and unflavorful. All in all, a good experience. We would come back again.
Outstanding service. Beautiful restaurant. Close to home. I had the salmon club special. Perfect. I really like this place.
Party of six and we each had a different dish. Scallops , roast chicken were deemed the best. Vegetarian dishes were smaller than expected. Taste was excellent.
Service friendly and we were seated at a round table which made conversation easier.
Discounted parking next door a plus
Fresh and Delicious as usual!
We had a delightful brunch. The service was outstanding and the space very pleasant — light and airy. The kitchen was amenable to customizing our order and got everything right. The restaurant was quite empty when we were there, which may account for the great service and low noise level, but we would certainly make a return visit the next time we see a show at the theater next door.
Ousia was a welcome surprise. This far west midtown neighborhood can now claim an excellent restaurant. Located near the new Landmark 57 movie complex this colorfully designed Greek restaurant served up wonderful food satisfying four hungry patrons. The roast chicken was truly perfect. Crispy skin with very moist, tender meat. The dips, bread, mac and cheese and burger all unique and delicious. Baklava and ice cream completed the meal. My compliments to the wait staff who could not be more accommodating.
It was such a pleasure to be in a restaurant with a crowd that was so "adult." No one was taking pictures of themselves or their food. I may ago to the Landmark 57 more often, knowing there's good food afterward.
Prompt excellent service, the wine recommendation was outstanding, and the Greek fare had an upscale appearance and flavor.
Excellent food, friendly staff, large and elegant dining room :)
Delicious food with healthy options and a peaceful atmosphere.
Great staff who are always very helpful
We were a group of four and were unanimously please with our experience at Ousia. The wait service was superb - so courteous and attentive without being overbearing. The room is bright and very attractive, with modern stylish décor. All our dishes were quite well prepared, fresh, delicious. Will definitely go again!
Worth the trip all the way across 57th Street past CBS. Who knew? When I read about the restaurant group owning Molyvos also connected to Ousia I knew I had to go. And finally did just that last night.
Nice selection of wines by the glass, great ambience and decor and attentive service. We loved the cauliflower falafel, mushroom flatbread, pistachio hummus and lobster moussaka. A very high end selection of everything. Bakalva with ice cream just topped off a perfect meal. All I can say is yum!
This is our 4th trip to Ouisq... and each time we have had great experiences.. food is great as is the service.
We have become regulars. Consistently delicious with a very warm and friendly staff. Loved the red snapper, the Greek salad, the edemame pistachio spread. Great wines by the glass. Our new home!
Best scallops I ever had!!!
Absolutely amazing experience! Brought my whole family and every single dish was PERFECT. Their greek wine was phenomenal and the far west side cocktail is out of this world. 10/10 Highly recommend!
Our first time to Ousia; excellent, friendly service providing very well prepared and presented Mediterranean fare. Started with an excellent hummus served with warm pita bread. This is a nice size starter for two at $10. (You can pick 3 choices of 5 or 6 hummus selections for $25). Although the full plates on the menu looked enticing, we chose to share 3 small plates. We could have easily selected 4, but the 3 we ordered were excellent; Kos meat balls, roast eggplant and grilled octopus. I would order all again, but it is the grilled octopus that had us taking pictures of the presentation and guarantee our return.
Lovely place with very elegant, creative Greek food. My Greek friend agreed that it was delicious!
We had an early table for 7 people pre-theatre. Staff was exceedingly responsive to our needs to be out on time for an early curtain. We shared numerous small-midsized plates, all delicious. Particularly loved the feta-red pepper spread, the mushroom flat bread, the shishito peppers (maybe best i've ever had), and cauliflower falafel. Great experience overall.
Nice restaurant, clean, quiet, great service and excellent food.
I'd been wanting to try this place for many months--I've spent a lot of time in Greece and I love Greek food. First: the wine list is ridiculously overpriced. Greece has to be the most reasonable place in Europe for wines, yet this was just over the top, price wise. I am not a sommelier, but I don't think one has to pay $60-90 for a Santorini. (we had mediocre cocktails instead, ugh) No one ever asked if we wanted bread! Odd. Next: Our first course salad was fine, but well before we were finished, they brought the main courses! I don't appreciate being rushed like that. We had the courses brought back to the kitchen. The server was very apologetic, but why had she let the courses come out so soon??? The manager was VERY nice and offered us two excellent glasses of wine as an apology. When the main courses came, they were fine, but nothing special. Greek food is not meant to be upscale, and this place is trying to be haute cuisine. It is not. The place has a nice ambiance, but I'd never go back. If you want traditional, great memorable Greek food at reasonable prices, try Uncle Nick's nearby on 9th Ave. I'm sorry that this was such a disappointment; I'd truly been looking forward to it.
Ousia is my go to restaurant neaer Landmark theaters. It is consistently excellent in all respects- very comfortable, great ambience, friendly and attentive service and very good food.
Good fresh, food-service was greatI would call it fusion Greek. A modern take on Greek and Mediteranian
food...the people I was with also enjoyed the restaurant.
Great tasty food!
Wonderful service and amazing food. I would come here again next time I'm in New York!
It was fantastic, loved it. I travel to Greece a lot and it was better then Greece. You must try.
Over the top service by an exceptional server topped off wonderful, fresh and outstanding food. Wine and drinks were terrific, but it was all due to the top notch staff that made us feel totally taken care of and valued.
Very accommodating & calm ambience with our girlfriend event - didn’t rush us through! Would definitely return...
Everything was outstanding ~ can't wait to return! :)
Our server Gallo made the experience incredible. He was helpful, attentive, and not to mention easy on the eyes. The food was delicious though the portions were pretty small. I never understand why higher end restaurants cook such great food at such a premium price and give you tiny little bites to enjoy. I'd love to go again sometime.
The food, drinks and ambiance were impeccable! Will definitely go again!!
My second lunch at Ousia was even better than the first. Food and service excellent. Unfortunately, the place was nearly empty at 1 p.m. and this was restaurant week. I hope the out of the way location doesn’t hurt the future of this really outstanding Greek restaurant. I plan to have dinner there soon.
