Our hostess greeted us with a warm smile.The waitress Jackie was great! The owner came to our table asking where we are from, how the meal was . Great place , loved the music playing in the background, can’t go wrong with anything from the great ,Louis Armstrong. The place looks great! Will definitely return.

This is our second visit to Otto's within the week. It is a gem on the Kennebec and the owners are very attentive and responsive. Jackie, our server, was gracious and charming and made sure our table of six were well served. The scallops last time and the chicken marsala this time were perfect in size portion and preparation. Others loved the salmon, the filet and haddock. My wife had the salad (good size) and crab cakes (more than good size) for her dinner and the cocktails were right on. Some restaurants have off days and this one did during our earlier visit. While the food was outstanding, the owner had to deal with staffing issues. Steve was most apologetic to us and other diners who were impacted and generous in how he handled the situation. Others could learn and appreciate his gratitude. For me, the best menu and food in Central Maine.

The dining room is classy. But still feels informal. The bar room, fun more casual. Steve the owner made us feel welcome by stopping by our table. Our server Willie had a great personality and did a good job serving! The food was tasty and the chocolate cake with peanut butter mousse was sinful! We wii return to this Augusta gem.

The food was outside, staff warm and welcoming atmosphere is comfortable but upscale. Would definitely go back!

A lovely dining option in a town known primarily for the same-old, same-old chain restaurants. The bar/informal space is very inviting, with a combination of overstuffed couches and tables. The dining room is small and quiet with exposed brick walls. They have one large eight-person table on a dias in the center of the room, with columns and draperies. Our six people were seated there - very old-school steakhouse! The food is inventive and ambitious, and the menu selections broad. Bacon-wrapped scallops, done in the deep fryer, were overcooked - hard little bacon balls (though still tasty). A crab dip appetizer was out and out delicious. Two friends's pasta dishes were pronounced superb. My mediterranean salmon was cooked gently, and with kalamata olives and feta, really quite good, if twice as much as one person should want to eat at one sitting (offering a half-portion option would be great). But the filet had by our last companion was actually tough. In fairness, he didn't point that out to the server. Sokol-Blosser Evolution Pinot Noir by the glass- a generous pour - was a nice surprise. I would not expect to find that in Augusta. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive without being obnoxious. All in all, a really nice meal.

Good service, tasty food, busy weekend with graduates but overall will definitely comeback next time we are in the area

Nice place. Our server must have been new as he brought me white Zinfandel instead of the red I ordered. Food wasn’t bad but also wasn’t great.
