Lovely setting, nice atmosphere, not a great range of options on the menu, but usually what they do, they do quite well.

Very average food. Fish over cooked, pasta Luke warm. Coffee was good. Had to ask staff to clear our table after we had eaten so that we could enjoy a second cup of coffee. Staff were pleasant. Thankfully no loud music. We Like this cafe mainly for the great view, certainly not the food. We will go again.

In many places similar to City View Cafe, you mainly go for, and pay, for the view with food being a secondary thing but City View Cafe is very different. Yes, you do have a magnificent view over the Swan River, CBD and Casino but the food here is also first class at very reasonable prices along with great service. The slow cooked brisket is something you must try. Looking forward to visiting on a cold rainy winter's day and staying for a few hours. Highly recommended.

I ordered iced coffee with almond milk was reasonable priced and good taste.
I booked online and called for adding more number of guest. They set up the table with nice view from the table and at the back of the cafe was perfect spot. - we had two kids

Sadly this time we’ve aired almost 50 minutes for our breakfast to arrive. Coffee was delivered about 10 minutes after our arrival. Wait staff lovely and efficient. Cafe overall great value.

We were a group of 7, all visiting for the first time. Venue is great, with excellent views, food is good value with generous serves and the service is efficient. But you DISCRIMATE tea drinkers. I don't drink coffee, but I was disappointed when my pot of tea arrived with a tea bag. You don't serve instant coffee to your customers but you charge $4 (same price as barista produced coffee) for a tea bag with a pot of hot water which probably costs only 0.10 cents. Annoying and I am sure many other tea drinkers will also be disappointed going to a cafe and expecting to be served loose leaf tea. Will be back, but only to take visitors.

We attended the Café View prior to an event! The staff understand that patrons need to receive service quickly to ensure that they won't be hurried in order to get to seats for the start of an event. The staff attentive and helpful. The food is good and the view over the Swan makes it an extremely pleasant place to relax and eat prior to going off to a game or show!

Easy to book, very nice view, food prices was ok, parking at the moment is ok. Staff was friendly enough. Already been there twice in a month, so I will definitely coming back..looking forward for some special soon.

The classic burger was terrible. The cheese was brown, the patty unsavoury and it looked like it was pre made. We were there to eat.
The gingerbeer was delicious.

You have to order at the counter. There were two staff undertaking tasks at the counter and no other customers. Had to wait a few minutes before being acknowledged and then order taken.
Fish was dry.

We had the fish and chips which were about the same quality as I could get from a box out of my freezer. Nice setting and friendly staff though.

The queue to order food was quite long and it took a while to place our order. I would have preferred orders being taken at the table.
I hope that once the COVID issue has been resolved the venue will return to the buffet service it had previously - the quality of the food then was excellent.

A family birthday gathering for lunch including two young grandchildren. The maître d' went out of her way to cater for the grandies - setting up a small table and chairs, together with colouring in pencils and copies of artwork to colour - so very much appreciated by all - and made COVID safe.

Whilst the meals took some time to appear, extra staff required, it was certainly worth the wait - not expensive and lovely views.

The maître d' gets my vote of employee of the month.

Great view. Food was served quiet quickly and with a smile. Portion sizes were good and well presented. Menu choices nothing outstanding but adequate for what we wanted. Little disappointed in the cake selection.
