This restaurant is not a good value. While the food is ok, the prices are absolutely awful. The restaurant is capitalizing on the fact that you are captive on the Mayakoba resort with no ability to eat elsewhere unless you take a cab off of the property (Andaz secretly adds a surcharge to cabs entering the property to discourage this). To add further insult, the food portions are extremely small and the prices of alcoholic drinks are over the top expensive.

Just ok as food, but very disappointing for Mexican food in Mexico. Food 10x as good nearby for 1/3 the price. That’s not an acceptable arrangement. Beachside is nice, but come at hefty cost.

Overall our experience was good, however there is one thing that left me sour, the bottled water service. Originally we were offered Voss water. I don't know much about Voss other than it's expensive so I asked if there was a lower cost option and the waiter said yes. We ended up with two regular size bottles of Evian. When I received the final receipt the most expense line item for the evening was our two waters $20 US total. When your bottled water is more than your entrees, something is not right.
