Ocumare Restaurant is a fine-dining tribute to Mexico’s rich culinary heritage. Created by Chef Elias Silva, the menu pays homage to authentic Mexican gourmet, inviting diners on a surprising journey of flavor through the many regions of Mexico. Made from scratch and with seasonal produce, traditional dishes include fish with guajillo, tongue in green sauce, and chocolate with pinole. All vegetables are carefully collected from our organic garden, a sustainable food program with local communities of Yucatan. The restaurant is also known for its curated mixology experience based on Mexican distilleries, and a boutique selection of natural and world-class wines.

Quisimos probar la comida de Ocumare y superó nuestras expectativas en todos sentidos. Pedimos que nos ofreciera el camarero que nos atendió y su elección (o sugerencia) fue ideal. Platillos con ingredientes de primera, con su textura y sabor completos, y con gustos añadidos muy ingeniosos que les vinieron muy bien

Left the restaurant and took food for takeout because there were too many mosquitos, got 10 bites waiting for appetizers. They should invest in mosquito repellent and candles

Decor lovely, cocktails really good, service was good. Food was okay - presented well, good ingredients, lots of options for all types of diners but it just lacked flavour for the money you pay. The pear ceviche was not a ceviche it was a half chopped bowl of fruit. Not a bad meal but just didn’t meet expectations or get close to other meals we’ve had in Mexico so won’t be coming back in a hurry

Lovely dinner. The food was beautifully presented and artfully created. The flavors were incredible. The staff was exceptional in service. This may be one of my favorite restaurants in Tulum. Will definitely go back to try all of the plates in the near future.

Ceviche pears is too sweet. You could almost put it on the dessert menu. Tamale doesn’t have any taste. Tonquea is missing the extra flavour. Taste like overdate beef. In most of the dishes you are missing an crunch. The tostada atun was great. Services was perfect but I expected more from the culinary side.

Pictures do not do this place justice. It is set in an immersive jungle. A magic setting that can not be replicated or communicated through a photo. The scents, the sounds, the food and the drinks are all outstanding. I have no idea how this place even has a single bad review. As someone who values a culinary experience and has been to many restaurants globally, this tops my list. Every single inch of this restaurant’s design has been thought out. The live kitchen is immaculate and probably the most beautiful kitchen I have seen. The staff are beyond fantastic. Spent almost four hours enjoying thoughtfully created cocktails and a menu that can only be described as genius. So please, do yourself a favour and if you have the chance to experience this place - take it. Thank you to the amazing team of people who put this together and who work here everyday to keep this place so magical.

Disappointing meal that split the crowd. We went as 6 friends. Beginning with the wine list, it was very over priced. I accept it is Tulum, but the entry level full bottle was ~$150 which is ludicrous and far more than many other similar restaurants, including the notoriously expensive Rosa Negra. The lamb was a definite winner for those that ordered it but the other dishes were not popular.

Service was a little pushy with the alcohol. Perhaps not enough staff for the amount of ppl there. The tostadas with tuna was a little fishy but everything else we had was delicious!

Absolutely terrible. Music was so loud that I can’t have a conversation. Food flavors are all off. Waiters kept bothering us, I don’t know for tips or as part of the procedure.

Service started out VERY strong, but towards the end - it took a long time to get anything we requested (check, water). The restaurant only had one other table occupied, so they weren’t too busy. The food wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t amazing for the prices. Presentation was nice. Drinks were incredibly overpriced and not worth it. My boyfriend did not like the cocktails they made and the couple of wines I tasted were not my preference. Cocktails were $17/ea and glasses of wine were $25/ea, water was $10/ea. Prices were just absurd. We had the kampachi ceviche, soft shell crab taco, and grilled fish. None of them were bursting with flavor or were really that special. Portions were small for appetizers. The decor was really nice, but there was barely anyone else there so the ambiance itself was lacking. Would not eat here again.

Beautiful restaurant & interior, delicious! Food, as recommended from an Rating we tried the soft shell crab taco and it was amazing. Staff was super friendly and explained the whole food again when it was served. Live Band played very chilly and cool 10/10 would go again

Thanks to Aldo our sever,bartender,GM,sommelier,hostess since we walked in every single person SUPERB,till we left,was probably the best dining experience in Tulum,if you go you need to order the Soft shell crab 🦀 taco super deli,everything UNBELIEVABLE THANKS AGAIN FOR EVERYTHING 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 Llegamos nosotros por qué andábamos mi esposa y yo caminando y nos empezó a llover y de pura casualidad y buena suerte vi el lugar y dije vamos a preguntar que es aquí ,de las mejores experiencias en Tulum,de hecho creo que una de las mejores.

Food and service was phenomenal. Loved the atmosphere and ambiance. Will definitely be back next time I’m in Tulum! The bola cheese dessert was probably the best dessert I have had in my entire life - will be dreaming of it!!

The food and service here are both amazing!! We had the loveliest waitress who gave great recommendations, and they were kind enough to take us 30 minutes after our reservation time due to traffic and parking issues. (It’s a ways down the main beach road in Tulum, so I suggest leaving very early to get there for a dinner reservation as the traffic is intense!!) They surprised us with an amuse-bouche before our appetizers came out, a cool wooden box with four small mini bites of food to whet your appetite. It was such an amazing experience, we were blown away. Definitely try one of the meals they light on fire!! But we loved everything we ordered here.
