Fabulous, romantic dining. Fresh modern take on Mexican ceviches and seafood. Our favorite spot to watch the sunset in Cancun. Dinner at Navio’s is a treat we look forward to ever time we are here!
Amazing find beautiful settings amazing food. Whst a romantic little spot with live music on a Thursday
Fabulous dining experience that we thoroughly enjoyed! I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Very romantic place
Great for couples, specifically to watch the sunsets
The ambiance was excellent. Food was good. One of the higher end restaurants in Cancun. ITs Mexican fusion, so if you want authentic mexican go to one of the local eateries.
Excelente lugar y comida extraordinaria
I selected the 10 pm reservation slot. Upon arrival at the restaurant, the host told me they closed at 10 pm. This may be an error in their system, but why would I be allowed to select this dining time if the restaurant was closing? Fortunately, they did let us eat but we felt rushed nonetheless because they were closing.
This place was absolutely lovely. We were staying at the Westin Resort and Spa and took a short cab ride to this restaurant. It sits on and above the water and has beautiful lighting and the ambiance is romantic and unique. The wait staff was attentive, smart, and knowledgeable. The food was fantastic. We started with the peccadillos (fish taco appetizer) and it was AMAZING! We ordered garlic seafood and the grouper dish and really enjoyed the food. Margaritas were great also. I highly recommend this place for the food and for the experience.
Fresh fish Fantastic sunset great service and excellent drinks--this place is a must visit in Cancun. I had the seabass and my wife the Veracruz grouper--both were excellent--service from Alejandro was excellent and the views--oh my --the view of sunset was spectacular. Must visit if you wnat fresh seaafood and a great view
A couple at our hotel recommended and we are glad they did. Great ambiance....good food ....good service. That’s all we could have asked for!
Excelente lugar, muy bonita ambientación con la Laguna como fondo. Alimentos de calidad y buen servicio de meseros. Lo recomiendo absolutamente para celebrar ocasiones especiales.
Our server was kind of a dud. Barely spoke, looked irritated. We are friendly and patient so this was disappointing. Also, music was terrible!
Loved it! Yummy experience. We will be back!
It was just OK. Service and main dish (lobster taco) were not memorable but the views are spectacular.
Though this restaurant is on the southern edge of the hotel zone, its ambiance and a variety of unique, fresh Latin-fusion dishes make this restaurant a must-visit. The seating is entirely over the water, with small sections of tables joined by wooden walkways, creating an intimate setting for a special meal. The wait staff is knowledgeable and willing to recommend the perfect dish to suit your tastes, especially if you’re not familiar with some of the seasonings described in the menu. Pricing is extremely fair, and portions are generous.
amazing place and superb ambience. for best results go at sunset otherwise you miss out on some amazing skies and colors.
prices in line with US/EU (2 cocktails, 1 bottle of water, 2 starters and 2 mains about £67) so go without expecting something cheap. but totally worth it!!!
We celebrated my friends 50th birthday at Navios and had a wonderful experience. The food and ambience was excellent. The saxophone player came over to play happy birthday and they brought her a free dessert. I would recommend being there for the beautiful sunset and bring a light sweater for when the sun goes down. I’ll definitely come back again!
Excellent sea food, excellent service, it was a very windy day but I guess it should be a really pleasant and nice atmosphere at a calm night.
First time there. Over the past 23 years, we have been to all the best restaurants in Cancun, and the food, service, ambiance at Navios rates with the best. We will definitely be back again with our friends. Highly recommended.
Great service and live music - always make the trip when in Cancun.
Fantastic but too many mosquitoes- we had to eat fast !
Well, this is the second year that we used open table to book reservation. They could never find my reservation each year. This year the food was sub par as compared to the past. Probably will be looking for another seafood restaurant
What a beautiful place, the staff was friendly, the food was good and prices reasonable. They even brought a cake to my husband and sang happy birthday when I mentioned it was his special day.
This restaurant got a lot of good reviews, but we were underwhelmed. The appetizers, fish and shrimp ceviche and shrimp tostadas, were excellent. The main courses: Sea Duo and Pepita-crusted salmon were ho-hum. The sauce on the Sea Duo (halibut and salmon) was distracting. It also hid the somewhat weird configuration of the fish: one wrapped around the other. This dish was just too fussy without enough flavor. We enjoyed the sax music, but the slow repetitive songs had a soporific effect after a while.
First time visiting Navios after many yearly visits to Cancun. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful sitting on and over the lagoon. We were lucky to dine while watching the sunset. Service was excellent (thank you Alejandro)! Food was also creative and delicious. We especially loved both cerviches, tuna tartare, pescadillas and lobster tacos.
No room for dessert, maybe on our next visit.
The food and ambience were both excellent. My wife and I (from New York) were really impressed with the service and quality of the food and price.
We completely enjoyed our delicious food and gorgeous setting. Or nephew recommended th is place. It's a beautiful setting out on the water of the inner Bay so you can see the sunset at dinner! Be sure to time it to see the sunset. They DO have parking. The staff were excellent, Adam was friendly and helpful. Roberto and the other wait staff were attentive, helpful. The shrimp turban and the grouper were delicious. We had three appetizers cerbechos, bamboo salad (which had no bamboo in it, but rather looks like bamboo!) And their famous pescadillos. ( Think small quesadillas , but with fish instead of cheese). All of these were excellent. We wanted to buy a gift card for our friend but they didn't have any. It was a sweet delicious and romantic evening! I'd come here again!
Beautiful place to have dinner and view the sunset.
Greta as usual !!
Another great dining experience at Navios! This is a must stop for us every year. The food is always great and the staff very attentive. It's perfect venue to watch the sun set over the lagoon. This year we had a group of 6 diners. Everyone loved their meal. We all had to try the Octopus that two of us had a meals. Both preparations were wonderful. As we were celebrating my husbands birthday, the staff surprised him with a birthday cake. Thank you Navios for another great dining experience.
AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING! So beautiful at night! Great music, great food, great prices, all around amazing amazing amazing experience. Probably my favorite experience during my trip to Cancun
This restaurants at the beginning of the hotel zone is Can Cun is now one of my favorite restaurants in Can Cun Be sure to ask to get a table in the “casitas”. (Do this with time). The tables are Bali style in the middle of the lagoon. There is a saxophone playing at sunset Thursdays and Saturdays. They are open for lunch. I had the green ceviche with basil it was delicious, kind of an unique combination. Then I had the catch of the day(It was super fresh) with garlic and Chile. ( Ajillo style). Mexico always do a good job with this style but be aware that there is a lot of garlic.
Would recommend for atmosphere. Known to be good for seafood but I am not a big seafood fan.
Vacation, nothing more special than that! Everything about this restaurant is special. Already looking forward to next year.
Great service, amazing food and romantic ambience.
Outstanding setting and service. However, as is increasingly a problem everywhere, the fish ordered may not be the fish served. My wife ordered grouper and I ordered sea bass. Our fish was the same--probably mahi, but absolutely not what we selected from the menu. Had they told us a substitute fish was available that evening, we would have been pleased. Not to inform us was a deception. We will return again next year, but with questions first, and suggest future diners do likewise.
Navios is a great restaurant. We went there twice on our recent trip to Cancun- once for lunch and once for dinner.
The setting is beautiful- on a floating pier overlooking the lagoon.
The food was excellent both times. We had ceviche for appetizers and everyone enjoyed their seafood main dishes.
Service was very good. Overall, Navios is a great choice in Cancun.
Absolutely terrible experience. Poor quality food. Frozen fish, and very dry/tough steak. Service was very poor. Had to get up and walk to the front to get my check and pay. Not what you would expect from the other previous reviews.
