Great setting but slow service and bad food. None of the dishes we ordered were good.
Best meal we have had since being here in Cancun......will return.
It is hard to think there is a prettier setting. A must for all but especially with a loved one. A great escape from the big hotels.
What a spectacular venue! And the food was just as wonderful. I can not recommend this restaurant more highly. If you're in Cancun, you absolutely must experience Navios. Atmosphere, live music, romance, and privacy. Go so you can watch the sunset!
Dined at Navios twice during a recent trip . The food is excellent , the location on the water is beautiful, service a bit inexperienced but good. The only thing I didn’t like about the restaurant is the bar , clumsily crafted cocktails served in questionable glassware ( a margarita served, with ice cubes , in a 6 oz martini glass, really ? ) . Price point for cocktails is too high , Restaurant 101: if you’re trying to be trendy, makes your drinks strong and bring in a good bartender ! Great food deserves great drink .
Really great dining experience, one of the best i’ve had. Highly recommend.
Navios is the most beautiful, best place in Cancun hidden on the bay side. Definitely go for sunset. It is magnificent. The tables are on a series of docks literally like you are floating. Our waiters Roberto and Alberto were amazing. Roberto took a number of pictures for us Luke it was a photo shoot. The food was amazing and reasonably priced. All of the seafood was so fresh. In 4 days we went there twice. Scenic and beautiful!! Put it at the top of your list and enjoy!!
We had a wonderful dinner with a beautiful sunset. The service was great and they made our birthday celebration extra special. I definitely recommend dining at Navios.
Had dinner here for my 28th wedding anniversary! Absolutely just perfect!!!!
Would have loved to have had some beautiful wine with I.T how ever the wine list is out of this world crazy expensive:-( thats my only con!
During the course of a a week we came here twice, our hotel was right across the street. It was romantic and beautiful. The best ceviche we had in Cancún was the navios specials, and the black ceviche was delicious and different. The best thing we had was the pulpo in adobo. Overall good seafood for a moderate price.
Great ambiance and friendly wait staff. Quiet and the staff are also mindful of the notices they make. Came with friends and I brought a Dom Perignon champagne. The corkage fee was ok at $30 dollars.
Food and setting were excellent. Recommend the filet and baked potato as an appetizer or with the meal. Restaurant is right on the water and a great special occasion place.
Awesome setting. Ordinary food. Indifferent service.
The Sunset was awesome. The wait staff couldn’t have been more helpful.
I was there with 2 friends for Valentine's Day. Free white rose and 1st margarita free for the 3 of us! Much appreciated. Entrees were very good. Main dishes (mostly shrimps, too cooked). All dishes were not hot enough, like they had been waiting too long before being served. Service was very friendly and well done. The white wine was good but not cold. The site is splendid, over the lagoon. Nice for sunset pictures!
A truly spectacular ambiance. The view and the seating makes the visit worthwhile. The wine list is short, but covers the wines that you would want to accompany your meal. We both had tortilla based appetizers with different fillings. Pam's was filled with shrimp, mine with a mixed seafood filling. Both were very tasty. We both had the boquinette entrée (hogfish snapper). The entrée was a whole fish that had been deeply scored and fried. This is a very different preparation from other hogfish entrees we have had. It was very tasty but not in the delicate style of a hogfish filet-type dish. The deep scoring provided easy eating compared to other whole fish entrees we have had. The menu was varied and we would have liked to try many of the other choices. This is a must for seafood lovers who like a great view.
Dinner and service at the beginning of the night was great. Unfortunately, the end of dinner and trying to pay the bill was a disaster. The credit card machine was down and staff was not adequately communicating with diners regarding the disruption. There were a lot of frustrated patrons as we left.
food was unimpressive.....Alberto our waiter seemed put out to wait on us. The host was amazing and the view stunning. Was disappointed.....
We decided to check out Navios which was a short walk from our hotel. Everything was amazing! Definitely coming back before the end of our trip
Waiter appeared to forget about our table as we waited 45 minutes after ordering our appetizers and entrees. Had to get his attention and apparently remind him. This was on a Tuesday night. Never checked with table after entrees served for water or another glass of wine. Disappointing.
We are in Cancun to celebrate my friend’s birthday, and had an outstanding dinner. The staff was so attentive, especially Carlos, and really made the evening special.
Beautiful ambience and cuisine.
Give this place a try, you will not be sorry! My husband and I went for our Anniversary on Monday while vacationing in Cancun and it was so good we had to go back again Tuesday for our last dinner in Mexico. The Shrimp Turbin is the best shrimp my husband and I think we have every had! A very generous serving of shrimp rolled up and wrapped in bacon with a mango salsa on top. Aside from great food the service is excellent! We never had to ask for anything , except the check which is lovely not to feel like you are being pushed out the door after dinner! I have been in top notch restaurants in many large cities across the US and the service at Navio's could stand up to any of them.
The sunset from our table on the dock was beautiful! I strongly recommend the tamarind margarita and Shrimp Turbin. The service was top notch! Carlos and Oscar took great care of us!
Excelente carpaccio de pescado y salmon
Las pastas son incredible!!!!!
Nice food and drinks, nice waiting staff. Very scenic. However the receptionist didn't even bother to say hello to us, neither goodnight when he walked pass us on the way out. Leaves a very bad impression
Excellent spot over the lagoon. Great ambiance, great service, great food and good value.
Beautiful setting on the lagoon, but everything else was lacking. Service was extremely slow and there was no check in after the mains were served. Otherwise they would have learned that some of the meals were cold. Although the food was tasty, we expected more in terms of interesting flavours and presentations. There are far better options in Cancun.
We went to Navios twice on a vacation to Cancun last year. It was so great, that we made a special point to go there again this year. However, something was different. The food was not nearly as good, and the service was also not very good. Maybe they were just understaffed that night.
We may try it again.
Navios was beautiful in every respect! The setting was gorgeous the food was wonderful and the service was terrific
Outstanding food in a beautiful, beautiful setting. A new favorite in Cancun.
Grilled seafood plate for 2 was outstanding. Wish server would explain to us that grilled octopus were part of the plate, we would not order the octopus for the appetizer.
Sunset was beautiful and the service was ok.
Dinner was excellent. Our server was gruff, and that detracted
From what was otherwise an excellent dinner.
Romantic ambiance, excellent seafood, and great service. A beautiful way to spend an evening overlooking the water.
La vista es increíble, pero sí hay bastantes mosquitos recomendaría poner repelente
We were disappointed in our dinner. The waiter hovered over us and continually came over for our order in an effort to rush us out. Had it been remotely busy we would have understood.
Also, clearing plates before everyone is done is rude.
Not a good night at Navios
This is the most “romantic” restaurant at which I have ever dined. The entire restaurant sits upon a dock and we had the pleasure of sitting in our own little hut, if you will. The food was simply prepared, with the seafood at the forefront; no heavy sauces or too much seasoning to mask the natural flavors. I recommend the Green Cebiche; the best I have ever tasted!!
We had the Garlic Seafood (grouper, octopus, and shrimp), as well as the Guahillo Fish (grouper). The octopus is prepared to perfection! Often, octopus is over-cooked and rubbery, but here, it melts in your mouth. The grouper was meaty and topped with Guahillo peppers; just enough to flavor but not overpower the beautifully done white fish.
The service was phenomenal! Very attentive, whilst still giving us space to enjoy the ambiance and company.
If you find yourself in Cancun, and you should; please do yourself a favor and check out Navios!!
Nice place with very average food with a disinterested waitress. Saxophone player was awesome and deserves 10-stars and my tip.
Súper buen lugar con buena comida y servicio.
Excellent food and service. We enjoyed our evening with excellent food and fantastic views. We would definitely visit this restaurant next time we are in Cancun. Do book your table to time it well with sunsets. You will not be disappointed.
