We had an amazing experience here! Very authentic Italian restaurant. The food was amazing and they staff was extremely accommodating. Will 100% be going back here next time I’m in San Diego!

Perfect Valentines Day dinner with my wife and 2 daughters. Easily booked on Open Table, showed up to a great reserved table under a heater and started on drinks and appetizers. The food is so fresh we almost didn’t feel worthy of it. Dinner was even better! Love the staff and the ambiance. Wasn’t our first time and won’t be our last.

Let me start off by saying Sandro and staff are all top notch!!....they make dining at Nado feel like you are at home!! But wait there is more !!!!...the food is amazing everything we have had has been so tasty and has an excellent presentation!!...oh and try the Brussels sprouts!!

We dined Saturday night for Valentines Day celebration, food was fantastic, seating was a little bit cozy for the times but overall very good.

Our waiter Simone was a wonderful . Very personable. Calamari appetizer was average, the ravioli was fabulous. Love the ambiance.

Came in for my Mother’s birthday and boy let me tell you the staff at Nado made her feel special the Owner Sandro is a kind and friendly class act!!...he and his staff where very welcoming and the food and ambiance where amazing everything was delicious and the look of the restaurant is so cozy and inviting!!!...Nado is the spot to visit for special occasions or if you just want a really delicious meal!!

Food was totally bland except for the risotto. Overpriced for no flavor. Ambiance is pleasant, but food was disappointing.

I think the owner served us. It was an awesome experience. We had a challenge when confusion started originally as we were supposed to be seated and two teams got seated before us. It all worked out.

The service was wonderful. The atmosphere charming. We got there early so it was quiet but by the time we left at around 8 o’clock it started getting noisy. But it was great!

Amazing food!! Fresh and delicious!! Service is great! My husband and I both have difficulty finding restaurants that will accommodate our crazy food allergies. (Nuts, dairy, soy, corn)They accommodated to our needs with out sacrificing taste. Highly recommended! Also check out the gelato place next door same owner best in all San Diego!!

Was looking forward to trying since I live on island. New menu.
Service was decent for the inexperienced server but what a disappointment. If only this place had decent food, it would be a great little spot.

Ordered 1 appetizer (prosciutto and mozzarella). It was decent but served with 1 main dish (the chicken??!!??) Not a great experience.


3 mains (1 per person)

Rigatoni carbonara - The worst pasta ever. It was flat, over-cooked, stale (how do you mess up pasta???). Sauce was bland and tasteless and I had to send a search party for pancetta.

Breaded chicken - blah... but potato’s were decent.

Pizza - just ok. Salami was very good.

Water bottle left on table to serve yourself wasn’t chilled at all.

Wine was overpriced but decent and helped killed the stale pasta aftertaste.

Tiramisu was good.

They promised to take pasta of bill but never did, which was more of a lack of organization than malice but one last miss.

I never write reviews so that tells you how little value we got for this overpriced, poorly tasting meal.

The perfect hideaway restaurant in Coronado. Wonderful staff that compliments the at home atmosphere. Plenty of “outside “ dinning available. Unique wine selection to select from.

Feels like your visiting family

Absolutely delicious! We split the homemade gnoochi as an appetizer and it was so good we are returning Saturday. Also amazing was the pizza with prosciutto cotto and gorgonzola.

Our new top restaurant in Coronado, maybe top in San Diego for quaint Italian. 1 block of the beaten path of Coronado’s Orange Ave., Nado Republic is special from the moment you are greeted. Outdoor and indoor dining, very eclectic design and wonderful smells coming from the kitchen. Menu is simple but robust. The waiter and chef recommendations make it that much easier. Food was incredible and service even better. We will be back and we will tell everyone we know to come have a great time at Nado Republic.

The best Italian restaurant in San Diego county. Great atmosphere and service. Food was simply amazing and our waiter was very kind a helpful. Their Nutella desert is a must have. Decent size portions.

Though there were fires nearby east of San Diego, the outdoor setting was nonetheless pleasant and away from the main drag of Coronado. Food was excellent!

Great dinner service and ambiance. Homemade gnocchi was amazing
