One of my favorite places
Not sure. Usually the food is excellent. We've eaten there quite a few times. This time the macaroni and cheese was dry and some of the noodles hard. We had to search for the bacon that was listed as an ingredient. Never was asked if we wanted a second drink. Both my husband and I would have had one but did not want to wait longer for someone to come to the table and get our drink order. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable.
Morton’s is not only a high end steak house but if you get their emails and utilize their specials, it is very affordable especially if you don’t drink much
John the bartender was outstanding. It was extremely busy but he never failed to notice what everyone needed before they knew it! Very impressive service and excellent food!
Thought it was really good. Appetizers, dessert, and everything else was good. Wife had the filet, I had a ny strip. Maybe a little more seasoning on it and it would have been perfect. Would absolutely go back. Would probably just get a different cut of meat.

We were seated immediately upon entering the restaurant. The dim lighting and soft music made things feel extremely romantic. There was an employee taking free portraits of guests as keepsakes. (Although the flash was so bright it practically eliminated all traces of melanin from our skin).Our waiter took so long to come to our table each time that we had to flag him down. I’m not sure why since they were surprisingly slow for Valentine’s Day! Our steak and lobster were slightly overcooked but we were so hungry that we decided against sending it back (it was still tasty). The brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes were absolutely delicious. Overall, although there were a few issues I would still recommend dining at Morton’s.
As a franchise, Morton's is consistently above the norm as a steakhouse. The interior of the restaurant reflects the old school steak house interior dark tones and black and white wall photos. The starter bread was a round loaf with the consistency of cake - delicious. The main courses - filet and rockfish, were cooked perfectly as requested. The only downside was the surprise lack of Chianti that the sommelier replaced with a red zinfandel - not quite the same but a decent fall back. Overall restaurant noise was evident but consisted mainly of couples so not boisterous. Overall, great experience. Expensive.
We were served frozen seabass. No one was around I could tell them of our problem. I had to go to front desk and ask for a manager. Only to be told that he was busy, not asking if there was problem? Finally got manager who in fact did not apologize, but took fish back go reheat. An assistant manager brought it back to table and still cold and he verified by touching himself. He was very apologetic. Never once did the GM come back over to the table, or really give a darn about our situation.
The holier then thou attitude, is not what you would expect from any restaurant, let alone Morton's. Maybe they should visit Capital Grille or the Palm for training.
Our experience was very nice. We drove from 1 hour away to enjoy Morton's in Bethesda and arrived 1 hour early to ensure that we made it in time for our reservation. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived early and learned that room was available for our reservation to be moved up to our arrival time. The tone was set when we arrived early and were able to be seated right away. Our waitress, Viktoriya, took great care of us. I asked for a non-alcoholic specialty drink and she made it happen. It was delicious, so delicious that my husband asked for one. Viktoriya ensured that we had a wonderful time. With it being Valentine's Day, we were pleasantly surprised when we were presented with a complimentary couple's photo. Thank you for the memento. We will cherish it. We had such a wonderful time that we plan to return.
Everything about this restaurant is superlative, especially the food. The service, courteousness, ambiance, is all outstanding. Worth the extra expense.
It is my opinion that price Vs found quality is high. I have not problem paying fir a great food .. this was not the case.

Had a wonderful dinner to celebrate our adult son's birthday. The food was terrific.
Normally the food and service is outstanding. My wife's steak came out cook as she ordered but felt it was not as worm as it should be. It appears to us the server waited to long to bring the food out. The manager came by with a lame excuse basically telling us we do not know what we were talking about. We let it go but it does bother us since all our previous trips to this morton's has been spectacular.
This was one of several visits to Morton's in Bethesda. We were welcomed warmly by the host, Todd.
Our Server, Rafi, was most pleasant and explained the menu, the specials available and the wine list to us. The choices available were outstanding, tasty and portions quite large. We will return.
Always a great meal here. Todd the gm will take good care of you. We did some oysters and shrimp to start. Salads and then the special steak and lobster tail. Great food and service.
Another great meal. First time trying the miso glazed sea bass, it was great!

I fell in love with Mortans’s while in Florida. I was so excited to try this one but the one in Florida was better. But overall this was still a pretty good restaurant, especially for restaurant week.

Wonderful as always - Rafael is such an asset! Dinners are always delicious with fantastic service - one flaw for us though was we hadn't realized it was Restaurant Week so was far more noisy than usual
The staff and management do a great job!
Morton's Bethesda never fails to delight. The staff is accommodating and knowledgeable. The food goes beyond our high expectations be it steak, seafood, sides and salads. This happened to be a very busy night, yet we felt like we were their main dining table. Bravo.

We went during Restaurant Week for a birthday celebration. Service was great, food was delicious, really great value when dinning during Restaurant Week. Would definitely recommend.
From the moment we got there to the time we left, they made it such a special night for our wedding anniversary. Had personalized menus, the manager came over to congratulate us and complimentary dessert. Five star for sure.
Ever since Morton's was sold, a number of years ago, the quality of the food has decreased so much that we haven't been back in years. We only went this night because our friends wanted to.
The waiter was mediocre...he couldn't figure out that if two people told him they were sharing berries for dessert, that he should provide and second bowl and spoon!
My husband's Filet of beef was tough...just the opposite of what a filet is supposed to be. My Shrimp Alexander was a luke warm and poor version of what it used to be.
We won't be back until such time as someone else might really, really wants to go. It won't be us!!!!
We have been to Morton's The Steakhouse - Bethesda several times. We generally have not been there on New Year's Eve as this time. The food and professionalism of the wait staff was very good, as usual. There seemed to be some confusion with our reservation, which we had confirmed. And there was a significant delay in bringing out side orders, probably on the order of 10 - 12 minutes after our entre was served. And while there was a photographer taking pictures of tables around us, we were not consulted if we desired such a photo.
Disappointed that they did not respect the Bar Seating Reservation. The host said he didn't understand how we had a bar reservation because they did not take bar reservations. They then offered us a table in the dining room, which we accepted because it was New Year's Eve and we needed to eat. Nevertheless, we ended up piecing together a dinner instead of eating bar bites like we planned.
