Moon Rabbit is a highly-regarded Vietnamese restaurant situated in the heart of Washington D.C., drawing inspiration from the virtuous rabbit depicted in the Buddhist Jataka tale. Led by acclaimed Chef Kevin Tien, the restaurant embodies an innovative approach to Vietnamese cuisine, showcasing a menu that is both unique and complex. Chef Tien's main objective is to pay tribute to his heritage as a first-generation Asian American, using Moon Rabbit as a platform for expressing his love for Vietnamese culture and food.

Chef Kevin Tien and Chef Nok Suntaranon will be serving a 7-course tasting highlighting the love of Vietnamese and Thai food & culture. Simply fantastic. Creative, unique, and innovative food. We went with the chef’s menu. Perfect. Just the right amount of food for two people. Great cocktails as well with flavors I’ve never experienced in a drink. And really, they should offer a desserts only night once a month. The desserts are exquisite. This was our second time dining at Moon Rabbit. We are hooked.

Excellent food and service. I would highly recommend the chef’s visit tasting menu which gives an excellent 5 course meal. The dedication the staff shows to excellent service with the amazing food makes this a must when in DC.

This has to be one of the best restaurants in the DMV! Food is so creative and delicious, drinks are great, and the service is superb! It's worth every cent.

Throughly enjoyed the lunch special @$35 for 3 courses, diner's pick from each of three categories. Everything is available a la carte also. Two of us planned to share everything so each dish was brought out separately, except for dessert. Nicely paced, knowledgable and top notch staff. I will return and highly recommend for foodies.

Wonderful experience. The chef’s menu took us through so many different textures and taste and things we would never have tried otherwise… All of them were great! Service was exceptionally good. Honestly, the only thing I would change is the noise level. It seemed kind of loud. But I would happily go back again!
