Our décor is warm and modern. The tradition has always been dark wood, leathers and a muted palette for a steakhouse. We broke the mould and decided to add hand-selected music that reflects us! We’re more like Jay Z and less like Sinatra.

We only serve ranch specific Alberta Beef. That means we don’t serve beef from anywhere else on the planet. We know our farmers and ranchers personally and respect the hard work they put in to produce our beef.

We are one of just a handful of steakhouses in Canada that serves, Grass-fed, Grain-fed, Wet-aged, Dry-aged and Wagyu beef 365 days a year. Our beef is always fresh never frozen.

We use a 1800 degree Infrared Grill to cook your steaks. The high heat creates a flavourful crust on the outside of the steak and leaves a juicy centre.

    Was disappointed with Date Night. Steaks were listed as AAA but seemed like AA. Quite tough. Used to going to Chairman's and Modern is not in the same league. Went there about a year ago and decided to give it another chance but was still not impressed.

    Another amazing dinner at Modern Steak. My husband loves the truffle popcorn. The service is always outstanding. Our steaks were done perfectly and our sides we chose were the risotto and mushroom medley. Always a great experience. Please keep doing what you’re doing.

    We went for the date night special for steaks and wine. We ordered lobster tail as an extra. Our steaks were delivered to the wrong table so they brought us our lobster and said they would bring us another lobster free of charge to go with our steaks. The service all night was incredible and was one of our best experiences at a restaurant in quite a while. I ordered an old fashioned with my desert and it was one of the best I’ve also had. We will definitely be back!

    We did not get a menu that showed the special. We were expecting a steak on a sizzling plate to come to the table but what we got was some kind of beef in a soup/sauce. I’ve ordered the $99 special before but apparently it’s a $49 upgrade to the tomahawk now. If I had known that, I would have ordered it but she never gave us the option and without menus we didn’t know. We ate about half of it and it tasted ok but the meat was tough, but upon taking it home we noticed in the light that the meat doesn’t seem very good quality. I don’t think it’s AAA and would not likely return for the same meal. The sauce on top was weird and unexpected

    Best first impression ever!! Food was great literally left nothing on the plates, service was top tier and our server was hilarious. Very cool dessert experience with the baked Alaska as they light it on fire at your table 🔥😂

    Awesome service! We brought our 3 month old and they were amazing! They made sure we had a good size booth to keep him in and got us hot water to heat up his milk bottle! Food was good as always and we did the date night special so it was a good deal! The only disappointing thing was the parmeson truffle fries. We did them at the stephen ave location and they were amazing, but this location wasn't as good. They didn't have the nice truffle flavour that we were amazed by last time.
