   El servicio de nuestro mesero fue muy bueno y el ambiente no está mal pero la comida y en especial el pulpo eran lamentables

   The Ahi special was very good. And the wine list was good. My husband is not a foodie, but he’s usually able to find a simpler dish on the menu at high-end restaurants to enjoy. This was not the case on this visit and was surprising since Moa Moa is an on-resort restaurant. Also, the bread basket had what I believe are commercially available rolls (King’s Hawaiian is my guess). That seemed odd for a high-end restaurant.

   It was the perfect evening to dine outdoors. The service was very attentive. The drawbacks: we asked for our cocktails 3 times. One of the cocktail glasses was so full of ice cubes there was barely any space for the cocktail. The order of seared ahi tuna was supposed to be medium rare to rare. It was medium. No pink in sight. The caprese salad had hard mango slices and hard chunks of tomato rendering them both flavorless. It's a shame since this is such a lovely venue and great people. Maybe it was an off night.

   Open air searing. One minus— half the part faces the wall while the other looks out to pops and ocean. Consider changing table positions. Otherwise very nice. Very good service. Octopus starter was warm, tender, flavorful. Caprese salad with burrata, tomatoes and mango was near miss. Tomatoes were under ripe and difficult to eat. Burrata and mango were yummy. Special was crab stuffed ahi. Very nice. Rich with beurre blanc but not too rich and the asparagus was perfectly cooked. We skipped dessert.

   Art as host and server made our experience delightful. Even serenaded the tables with a Hawaiian song. We were seated outside which allowed us to enjoy the musician in the courtyard. At dusk the gas light torches and gas lite fireplaces go in. What a great experience!

   Great place to have dinner, it was raining hard when we were there however the outdoor tables under roof were nice, food was excellent, Mahi Mahi for me and salmon special for my wife. Attentive and unhurried service in a lovely setting.

   Excellent idea, poorly executed. The price fixed menu was fantastic for Valentine's Day dinner. Unfortunately, staffing was not adequate for the reservations. We were in the VERY early seating which worked to our advantage as we had very good service for our dinner. Later arriving guests were not so lucky. The beet salad and lobster thermidor were outstanding! The salmon was unfortunately over cooked and showed signs of sitting under the lights for a while. The dauphinoise were clearly old and had been prepared from frozen. But the worst part of the night was watching later arriving guests waiting 30-40 minutes for drinks or first courses. This has been a common occurrence lately, as staffing levels here in Hawaii have still not come back to normal.

    We had Valentine's dinner reservations. Set menu looked good, so we had high hopes. Reservation was at 6p. Restaurant was poorly decorated for the holiday. We were sat at a small two top that was no wider than 2' so you had to be cautious where you put things. Restaurant was not busy with only a few tables occupied. Hostess told us "Arthur" would be our server multiple times. After 10 minutes, a waitress, not Athur, shows up to take our order with no apology for the wait. We ordered two of their specialty cocktails & selected entrees. It took 40 minutes to get drinks. We received no salad or appetizers until we asked for them. All the tables were getting the same poor service. We didn't know to laugh or get mad. A table that came in after us got salads before us & another table just got bread with no salad. There was no organization at all. Our waitress comes back after 20 min & tried to take our order again. Told her she already took it. She just looked puzzled & said okay then walked away. Meanwhile, no one in the restaurant has received drinks. A food runner brought our appetizers but realized that we hadn't gotten salads so he just took the apps away. We finally received our drinks. The salads came which consisted of pieces of arugula and giant pieces of beet. Presentation was lacking but tasted ok. Our Lobster Thermidor was good. Nice flavor. Entrees finally came. We ordered beef tenderloin which was cooked fine but very small and the salmon that lacked flavor. Desserts were 2x creme Brulés. Tasted good but too big of serving and wasted half of it. During our meal we heard someone singing thinking it was entertainment and it ended up be a random worker possibly the manager. I think that was his attempt to calm things down. No apologies given by any wait staff, no explanations for delays, and no offers of discounts or comp'd items. Very disappointed for a simple set menu. Will not be eating there again.
