Mitchell's Fish Market - Edgewater calificaciones y reseñas
Made reservation, but first thing the host said was, you are gonna have to wait. Very mean and un welcoming. End up having dinner at the bar. The food was good, drinks okay, bar service good. Overall gets a C+.
Manager: needs to make sure that if a reservation is made customer service is been deliver to customers.
The place was wonderful !! me and my fiancé went for Valentine’s Day. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a speacil occasion, a first date or just to relaxed and enjoy a glass of Merlot. The place was everything you can ask for and the view was breath taking. Staff was very pleasant and service was amazing .
The place and ambiance was great. The hudson river and New York view is breathtakingly amazing. I guess this is the price you pay for in this restaurant. The food however was just Okay. It was actually our first time, and we really don’t have any idea what to order, I guess we were kind of expecting our server to lead us on getting the best food out of their menu but I guess the night was very busy for the servers coz it was Valentines Day. But nevertheless, we had a great time!
Over all the experience was very good. Wonderful view of the city. It doesn’t feel as upscale but is good for date night, special occasions, etc. The food was cooked to our liking. Friendly and accommodating staff. The decor may need some updating. They also ran out of some menu items that we wanted and had to choose an alternative option. Nevertheless, very good experience.
Service was quite slow. Our server was doing his best to try to make our dining experience enjoyable but we had asked him to try to put our app order in with our entree order and He told us he wanted to wait to take our entree order so he could get the app order in first. Then even knowing that he came back to take our entree order and didn’t put it in right away. He even went so far as to come over while we were eating or appetizers to check on us and asked us when we would want our entree orders to be put in. There didn’t seem to be enough servers to accommodate the guests so can’t really blame him but given that we asked to try to order appetizers and entrees at the same time - it seemed very illogical not to just put our entree order in right away. He seemed to be forcing our pace when we made it clear we didn’t want that. Not sure if that’s cuz the kitchen was backed up or what.
Also, it took over 30 mins for the dessert to come out once we ordered it. We were party w 4 children under 5 and by the time dessert came it was almost 9pm and they were falling asleep at the table. We had 6:30 reservation.
Food was good and presentation was nice. Just took forwver
The staff and service was excellent - as always! My cedar plank salmon was delicious. Such a nice sized portion that I actually asked to take a”doggy” bag, so I could eat the rest for lunch the next day! Our favorite neighbor restaurant, where we know the food will be great, prices reasonable - and everyone who works there helps to make for a wonderful dining experience.
Great neighborhood dining with always fresh seafood. Wow, holiday three course specials were delicious. Seafood gumbo was terrific, the main course I had was shrimp and lobster stuffed sea bass... tasty. The delicious warm bread pudding dessert topped off this dinner. Not inexpensive, but worth every bite! Staff is most accommodating as well.
The food was okay but the service was terrible. The server didn't really know what to do. She didn't bring the water until I asked her three times. She even forgot our order and we had to wait extra 15 minutes.
The pasta that we ordered was little bland and the texture of the noodle was terrible.
We ordered a medium rare ribeye but we got medium well done ribeye which tasted way too bland.
Overall, dinner at this place was really disappointing.
Food wasn’t anything to write home about. None of our meals were hot, they ran out of New England clam chowder at 7:30 and the place was empty. Meals were also salty. It was much better the last time we were there over the summer. This was very underwhelming.
Calamari and lobster bisque were both very good. Bacon wrapped shrimp was kind of chewy. Crab cake was awesome. Table bread was bland and tasteless. My sea bass special was perfectly done, and the dessert Oreo ice cream nut thing shouldn't be missed. Cocktails were very well done too, and the views are spectacular
Mitchells is one of the newer restaurants along the River in Edgewater. It has fabulous views, great, fresh sea-food and friendly attentive staff. We have been there three times and it has never been crowded. Definitely a great choice for a special occasion or just a night out.
Best part of Restaurant is view, otherwise just an average seafood restaurant and a little overpriced. Restaurant does have good selection of seafood dishes and combination platters, though portions were a little small for the cost. Had salmon/shrimp/crabcake combo which was good but served lukewarm. Desserts were good, especially sharkfin dessert. Went during weekday when restaurant was quiet and empty.
We have had two excellent dining experiences here in the past couple of months. Service both times was impeccable. The food was great and we love the menu itself, has a lot of basics and some more interesting options. The kids menu is perfect. The view and location is the best, hands down. The second we came was to bring our inlaws for their 50th anniversary and the restaurant gave them a personalized menu as well as glasses of champagne to celebrate, and the manager came out for his congratulations. Really made them feel special. Thank you, we will definitely come again, whether its for a normal date night or a special occasion!
I have weird and unpleasant experience at the reservation.
I called to the restaurant and asked for 5 ppl table and they lady said they don't have one till 8:45 or later when I asked for 7:00, then I went to the opentable and see the availability at all 7:00 and 7:15 etc... all the times frames prior to that... so I booked and went to the reserved dinner, and there are sooooooo many tables open. Only table filled were a couple tables outside and 3 other tables indoor..
It was weirdest thing, and had to think it is some sort of discrimination.
Overall, food and service were decent, but because of the experience, I rather deal with other restaurant for frequent business meal with guests.
