Great choice before a ball game with happy hour pricing on some food and beverages between 4 and 6. Nice ambience, particularly outdoor balcony dining. Very cheerful, courteous and friendly staff. The tacos are outstanding, as is a nice selection of seasonal draft beers and tequila varieties. Excellent value in the Navy Yard.
Thought everything was average. Was looking for something with more depth
As we understand that restaurants are slowly building up to have staff, we are cognizant of that. But, pending almost an hour and we did not get our food order. There is no response for this.
Dinner before the National’s game!
Thank you Dora, Kelsey and KP for an #Amazing #HappyHour!!!
Still confused as to how I went to happy hour and none of my items were rang up as happy hour items. Then my tacos fell apart in the middle
The margaritas were excellent. The food was not very good, we had tacos and they were the worst tacos I have ever eaten.
The service was excellent given how busy they were.
The waitress, hostess and managers were all top notch.
Overall it was fun because of the margaritas
but it was very expensive for not very good food.
great food and ambience on a nice day in Navy Yard
If you go here....you WILL black out.
Went to Mission for my son graduation dinner, the food order was all wrong! I literally got my food after everybody in my party has eaten there’s even when there food order was not right and they were given the correct food. My chicken fajitas was so spicy when I finally got it I didn’t even eat it. Literally highly disappointed! On a positive note my daughter loved the wings.
The food wasn’t the best. Great place if you just want to have drinks.
Sent private note
Food is fine, but more bar than restaurant. You order at the bar and get a number for your table. No one explained that when we were seated. No mojitos apparently there is a mint shortage. Margarita was ok, I was asked sweet or sour side? Never asked that before, make a margarita.
We spent 30 min waiting for 2 drinks and there were no servers on site.
I wish I knew it was going to be THAT loud- even outside.
We had family in town for a funeral and wanted a place close to our hotel where we could all have dinner so I chose Mission. When I booked the tables I was told they only had outdoor seating available which was fine. The day of the dinner I had reached out to the restaurant directly about seating us close together. There was inclement weather that day and they said they would try to accommodate us inside. As we were being seated, though, we learned that the outdoor tables don't have table service. You have to go in and order at the bar. Not convenient with 18 people, but we would make it work. After being seated, however, the manager came out and said that they were short-staffed, but she would see if they could give us table-side service and they did! She knew from our earlier email exchange that we were in town for a funeral, so we really appreciated her checking in with us. A huge shout-out to Annie, our waitress/bartender, and Jessica, the hostess with the mostess, for making it all work. It was a bit chaotic with 18 people sitting at three different tables, but we were just happy to be together as a family. And the food was delicious! I'd go back again in a heartbeat!!
My friends and I had brunch here on a very hot Sunday so we were bummed to see that their patio had no covers or umbrellas at all. So we basically roasted through our entire meal. With COVID you would think they would make an effort to make their outdoor dining enjoyable! The food was mediocre and our server forgot to put in one of our orders, silverware and our drinks. There are so many awesome Mexican places in DC now that this is not one I'll be returning to.
Food was okay, chicken taco was kind of bland. Chicken Nachos were okay as well. Chicken quesadilla, same.
It was also happy hour, good happy hour menu. The pitchers were redeeming as far as food and drinks go. Yummy and will sneak up on you. Also offer $5 shots for HH.
Service was okay. You need to put your card to start the tab, which is fine but I guess we came during a shift swap. The new server had to go and find my credit card at the end of our meal because the first server did not bring it back. She left without saying they were switching or anything. Both servers demeanor was overall pleasant and we received everything we asked for. The restaurant is really loud no matter which part of the restaurant you were in so it was a little hard to here each other talk and we were sitting beside each other.
Overall everything was okay, I would come back for the pitchers and margaritas if that’s what my friends wanted to do.
Very very very hot and few accommodations were made. Service was slow outside as well
Sad to see that they no longer serve free chips, salsa, and guac with brunch but the atmosphere was lively and the food was good as usual
Food and drinks are good but the customer service was not. If you want to be able to hear your friends talk without screaming, don’t go here.
Worst service I have ever experienced at a restaurant.
The front desk people said that because I requested to sit outdoors in my reservation (that I made a week prior to coming) I had to sit on the patio. The patio was covered in rain and the seats were being actively rained on. I asked why no one else was sitting outside but our party and the man had no response. I will never waste time making a reservation here. They lost me as well as the others in my party as potential diners.
Really cool spot, food came out very fast and the ambiance was great. It’s right next to the nationals stadium!
A huge shout out to the amazing team at Mission! For what was supposed to be a quiet Monday night, Georgetown graduation got in the way...they handled the large crowds with grace, humor, and patience. It was the first time my staff and I were able to see each other, and we felt safe and comfortable. From the spicy margaritas to the tacos, fajitas, and loaded waffle fries, the food was delicious. When our drinks took a bit longer than expected, the wonderful team brought us free delicious shots. Hoya Saxa!
The team at Mission went above and beyond to help make my post-graduation celebration with family and friends special. We had a large party but the host, Reilly, generously worked some magic to get us moved inside once it started raining. The bartenders and upstairs host were also very gracious and accommodating. Thanks so much!
Our waitress was so wonderful and I wish I remembered her name!! She had a ton of bustling tables and couldn’t have been calmer, more happy, more congratulatory to us as we celebrated graduating law school.
Food was amazing and customer service was on point as always!
Great atmosphere, awesome margs, don’t go there for the best fajitas but the experience is worth jt
Great service and food! Just a fun time overall! Would recommend, especially if you like bottomless brunch!
Very good food and drinks, plenty of space, and friendly service.
Bartender was extremely kind, she made our evening by allowing us to sit out on the balcony and then served us! Will definitely come back next time we visit.
We were in DC for a birthday weekend and I made a reservation at this restaurant because I wanted to have Mexican food. But unfortunately our waiter was not the best. We were not greeted for about 10 minutes. The hostess was the one who took our drink order and brought over two shots of tequila on the house for my birthday which was really nice. When other tables were given pitches of water, they were given cups but we did not get any cups. Thank goodness my boyfriend’s beer glass was empty that I could pour water in and I just used a straw in the water pitcher. I got a steak burrito which had a lot of steak in it. He got chicken enchiladas. The food was mediocre. It felt as though we were in a club because the music was so loud. Unsure if we will be visiting again next time we are in the area.
Brunch at Mission Navy Yard was great! Excellent service, food, drinks and overall vibe!
Mission is very good at managing high demand periods during baseball and soccer games.
The hostess staff are friendly and clearly working hard to seat all the guests and we really have enjoyed our servers. The unique approach to Mexican food never disappoints.
Overall enjoyed our meal and pitcher of Margaritas. The guacamole and steak tacos were delish! So nice to sit at the bar again!
everyone was super nice and accommodating!
