Mint Leaf - Haymarket calificaciones y reseñas
Reserved for the pre-theatre offer three-course meal. Arrived 30 min early for my 6 reservation and got a drink in the bar. Was finally sat at my table 15 min after 6 pm and told the sever we needed to move fast as I had a show to get to. Only made it through one course despite my multiple mentions I was in a hurry. Still charged the full three course price.... very disappointing
Dined Post theatre at Mint Leaf and once again received excellent service and authentic tasty food. I would advise if visiting to ask for the area with the soft bucket chairs as it's much nicer than the first dining area that is more bistro and 'colder' in feeling and ambience. BUT.....I will return but only using the set menu deal as the soda waters & wine is very expensive and was over half the bill of the cost of the food.
We had tickets for the theater across the street, and I made a reservation for both the food and the convenience. We weren't disappointed. The menu has a full selection of Indian dishes and a nice wine selection as well. For an appetizer we ordered the potato and mint cakes. The main course included lamb rogan josh, bhindi masala (okra) and safron rice. We like our Indian food spicy. I asked for our food to be prepared with additional spice and they were accommodating - the spice level was perfect. There were several tempting selections on the dessert menu. We tried the hot chocolate fondant and the pistachio and cardamom kulfi - both excellent. The service was excellent. We were never concerned about getting to the theater on time. The ambiance was O.K. It was a tad dark in the room. I wasn't enthused with the raised walkway and the two steps down to the tables.
They took our orders way too late, after about 15 minutes, even 5 minutes after we finished our poppodoms. This seemed to be because the waiter responsible for our table was on a mission to find a specific type of wine for the table next to us. As I kept calling him, he kept saying "1 second please"...
Furthermore, the St Emilion I picked from the wine list wasn't available - so why put it on the menu? Then I picked a 2013 Rioja, which turned out to be 2014, and when I questioned this, they didn't seem to think this was an issue, yet we still paid the same price for the wine.
The food was excellent, so congratulations to the chef. But overall, an underwhelming experience because of the low performance of the service staff.
It's a nice place but good was frankly disappointing. We ordered lamb rogan josh and chicken banjara as mains. Both really bad. The sauce was more chilly but no spice. The flavour was just not there. The lamb was very dry. The roti was nice. The tarka dal was good. But overall very disappointed with the food. I don't know what's happened to this place 😑
Average expeince over all. The food Had elements that were good but nothing you would rember. The chicken in couple of the main concourse was quite dry. We had a table of 6 extreemy loud gents next to us which wasnt really plesant. On the positive the service was good.
Me and my boyfriend visited the Mintleaf last Saturday, it was lovely and the setting was beautiful. Service was great and the waitress was lovely. The only 'cock up' that was made was that we asked for the duck to be taken off our main because it wasn't halal, the waitress offered us an alternative of extra lamb or chicken which was great. But when the food was brought out the duck was on the plate, she quickly realised and apologised numerous times...over all it was lovely but very over priced for what you get
This was my third time dining at Mint Leaf and I was disappointed. The food was good, but the service was awful. We booked for post theater meal and the minute we sat down at 10:15, we were told the kitchen was closing in 15 minutes and to order immediately. The waiter was quite rude. Why offer a post theater special if you plan to treat the customer so rudely? I won't be back. Disappointing because my first two meals were exceptional and memorable.
It was a horrible experience! Couldn't believe the sort of service for the kind of restaurant. The food was good, however the service was way below par.
The restaurant is understaffed and the manager seemed extremely incapable of handling a busy Saturday evening.
Better off going to some of the other nicer Indian restaurants in London. dishoom is the best!
We booked Mint Leaf for a Hen party. Would definitely recommend it, beautiful atmosphere, great food and exceptional service. We had the 3 course set Menu, which was worth every penny. The Calamari starter was phenomenal .
Thank you for a wonderful evening.
Enjoyed the set 3 crse menu. Good choice of food on the menu which was enjoyable to eat. Great choice of cocktails. Bar/restaurant area was set up nicely, good decor, lighting and ambience. Staff attentive, friendly and professional. Great evening
Our food came out very quick and tasted good. I also ordered a Mai Tai which was very strong. This restaurant I think is very good for large parties. The only negative is we're they put us to sit and there was no toliet roll in the ladies bathroom.
Got a reservation for the pre- theater meal at Haymarket. Even with a reservation, it took awhile to get seated and waited on. Our wait person seemed pretty new and overwhelmed. Did not help that the person in charge was very rude to her and us and not the least bit interested in being of any assistance. The food was good, not great. Overall, it was not our best experience.
Have visited this restaurant on a number occasions and have to say, this was the most disappointing. We went there on the cocktail and three course meal deal and felt that the standard of food on the deal this time was quite inferior in comparison. We also felt the service was quite rushed which is not appropriate considering that even on the deal it is not cheap by any means.
This was my second visit in as many weeks. Once again Vishal and his team of professionals , had excelled in his attention to detail. Great customer service and great food. This time he told my friends that he had increased their vegetarian options after my first visit. What a star. The options were great. Thank you Vishal. I had brought some friends for a nice Sunday lunch and they all thoroughly enjoyed the food.. We shall be booking again very soon !
The pre theatre menu is very good value but their wines are expensive.
They were obviously bored as we were asked multiple times for each course by multiple people, if we were enjoying the food...it became a bit annoying.
The food however was delicious.
The new Sunday brunch at Mint Leaf is a real find. It was my Mother's 75th birthday, and the booking was made for that occasion. Whilst there were fixed choices on their menu, the manager, Vishal went out out his way to look after us. He came to the phone when booking, assured us he will look after us, and indeed welcomed us like VIP's. This is excellent customer service, and he is a true customer orientated professional. He ensured that mu Mother's allergies and tastes were catered for, and we had a thoroughly great Lunch. Whilst great food is always the reason to eat at a place again, the service is the reason it makes it all the more enjoyable. I have made this a favourite. A very big thanks to Vishal and his team of professionals. Keep it up ! Will most definitely see you again.
