Mikado - Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa
A fun experience for our family. Our boys loved that they were able to participate & both agree it was their favorite meal on our vacation.
Tofo bien, gracias
Very kid friendly. My wife loved the salmon (one of the best she has ever had).
I didn’t care for the Chicken Pad Thai. Most of the food was prepared in front of us and the kids really enjoyed the show. Ask your waiter for the Chopstix Helpers for the kids or anybody who can’t use chopstix.
Our waiter, Antonio, was excellent.
Our Chef, Jorge, was outstanding. He allowed an interactive experience for all of us. It was extremely entertaining and the food was delicious. We will be back next year and will request both of them.
We ate here in January and really enjoyed it but our trip in December was disappointing. I can’t really put my finger on it but the food just wasn’t good. The fried rice was undercooked and crunchy. The meat was tough and has a sweet taste rather than a steak taste. Staff and cook were great
Gracias Antonio, Luis y Misael.
The food is always good ,
Service and food excellent! Recommendation: Shabu shabu !!!!!!!
We sat at our table and there were dead flies on the window ledge next to our table. If this is how dirty their dining area is, I don't want to look in the kitchen.
We pointed it out to the manager who had it wiped up but he didn't even comp an appetizer or drink.
Food was average. Wait staff were fairly attentive.
Harold from Canada
Antonio and Gladys were incredible, as everything in this restaurant !
Excellent service. With good food. We would return for another enjoyable night next time in PV. We thought prices were reasonable given the service and tasty food. Thank you all.
We had a great time at Mikado. The restaurant was pretty empty, so we got lots of attention. We enjoyed the service of our waiter, Alberto, and our teppanyaki artist, Margarita. Thank you!
Short on waiters and cooks. Service was extremely slow, food was just so-so. Would not recommend
Great service, excellent food
Everyhing was delightful. We had heard very good things about Mikado but had not been there. We had the Teppanyaki and was excellent as was the chef and his show along with all the staff. One person in our party ordered Salmon on the menu which was cooked beautifully. It is a high end place, so be prepared that is a little expensive. We did splurge and had the Teppanyaki complete meal (2 choices meat, fish or chicken; soup; salad; ice cream; tea) plus 2 drinks each was around $125 USD or 2,500 pesos. But worth it from time to time!!!!!!
Excelente servicio y alimentos
Excelente calidad, servicio y atención. El mejor lugar de comida japonesa.
We enjoyed the experience. Food generally was excellent but the vegetables were a bit soggy and I notice that they were left on some plates. Its a beautiful restaurant...quiet, with lots of room between tables. We will come again.
Armando was so fun & made my bday extra special!
VERY slow service.
Margueritte was our chef and did a fabulous job. She made the best fried rice we’ve ever had! Philippe was our waiter and was on top of things! It was a wonderful Valentine’s Day meal!
Amazing food and awesome staff!
The ambiance was horrible lighting need to be seriously updated. It’s like walking in a laundromat. Sushi was good and hibachi grill was tasteless. Service was good we continue to go and sit at the bar for sushi seem to be better than most sushi place here in Vallarta.
Sat at the teppanyaki table. Ordered sashimi as well as sushi. Both excellent. Then had lobster and fish on the grill. Both good. Everything a bit rushed. Restaurant was beautiful. Cost a bit high for Mexico.
The extraordinary entrance to this restaurant is about the only great thing about it. I generally love hibachi, but this one was lackluster and way overpriced. The server tried his best and the newbie chef did as well, but the food was just passable and nothing worked quite right. My daughter was left sitting without anything to eat for quite some time while everyone else at the table went through one or two courses. I had to ask twice if they would please bring her soup. The atmosphere inside leaves a lot to be desired, as it feels sterile and noisy, with the door to the outside opening right behind my chair. It was weird and the $157 tab for one adult and two children left me speechless.
The food quality and quantity was absolutely fantastic! Fun and entertaining environment, superb service from the moment we arrived to the time we left.
The lights could be dimmed (very bright lights)!
Incredible chef (so refreshing to finally have the honour of very talented woman rocking this career)! Thank you chef!
unfortunately we all had to deal with 2 women in their early 20’s (accompanying a group of 2 adults and 2 young children) who continued to complain, and curl their noses up while talking very loudly, demanding this and that. They actually told our wonderful chef that she had divided the vegetables wrong, and made her go get more and cook it for them! The only reason I mention this is because they were disrespectful to everyone who worked so hard to create a wonderful experience!
Overall, it was a fantastic night!
Great service and food. Second time at this restaurant and it had improved from a already good place to a great place.
Mikado was good but not great. We did sushi and a noodle dish. So can’t speak for the hibachi. The sushi rolls were fine but they had way too much rice on them so were very heavy. We also ordered the Yakisoba noodles. It had a lot of shrimp in it but not much noodles. So our meal wasn’t bad but I’ve had better. I would still recommend it if you’re staying at the hotel and looking to stay in and don’t want Mexican.
It was a very nice restaurant with great food. Antonio the somelier was amazing recommending the best wines and best food
Best Japanese restaurant in town, loved the Teppanyaki and sushi bar.
1,5 Stunden gewartet auf eine Tasse Miso Soup! Hauptgericht kam überhaupt nicht. Ohne essen gegangen, schade. Chaotisch 🙈
Great Japanese in PV.
