Service was meh - I had indicated we were celebrating a birthday and that was completely ignored. They were very eager to give us the bill and send us on our way.

But the highlight is the well planned and well executed dinner. Salad, steak ( two rounds), pommes frites, and fresh bread are totally enjoyable. Don’t miss out on this memorable dining experience in the heart of Bethesda.

We went for Valentine’s Day. We love this place. It’s easy because you know what you are getting and the food is really good! The service is always great too.

Eaten At this location several times before unfortunately the restaurant has been closed due to Covid and the direction by Montgomery County. It re-opened on Valentine’s Day and we made reservations for indoor dining on Valentine’s Day. Unfortunately when we arrive they over booked the entire restaurant we’re on able to give us an indoor table and we were forced to sit outside and 35° weather with a heat lamp above us that provided absolutely zero heat. Being the first day restaurants have been reopened in Montgomery county Maryland and every place being booked we had no choice but to sit there and to freeze while we ate. The manager was very uncooperativeAnd rude.

When asked why we didn’t get the table that we booked the answer was everyone booked indoors and there isn’t enough seating. I didn’t spend over $100 just sit in 35° weather and freeze miserably while eating food that instantly froze while being brought to our outdoor table.

While I understand their desire to recoup lost revenue during the Covid events this is not the way to do it. I will never eat at this restaurant again.

The food is very good and plentiful. It’s a set menu so you know what to expect.

Horrible customer service, we were sat down and brought the check within 35 minutes. With no time to enjoy our good, let alone get a second round of drinks or dessert.

Great experience as always. Still the best deal and best steak. That sauce is gold! Another great evening at Medium Rare!

Cutlery and napkins weren’t very clean. One of our salads had a hair.

We ate outside on a cold evening. They had tents, but our table was not in the tent. It was a bit breezy, but we brought a blanket so it turned out fine. The heaters at each table helped too. The staff was super friendly and the food stayed hot, even though it was in the low 30's when we ate.

I’ve been here many times and chose this spot for my birthday because I’ve loved it in the past. Yesterday however, I was nothing but dissatisfied. I understand Covid restricts parties to 6 people to a table, but I spoke with somebody on the phone who told me they could make a reservation for 7! When I showed up, I didn’t even have a reservation! I tried to explain my situation and the hostess was nothing but rude to me and my party; she was especially in my face in particular. When we finally got seated, the servers were all inattentive to our two tables. Even though my friends reminded our servers throughout the brunch that it was my birthday, I never received the ice cream with the fun candle brought out to sing happy birthday to. I know medium rare does better than this and I’m not happy with my experience, especially considering my birthday was not even acknowledged.

Great place! The service is excellent and the steak tastes delicious, especially the sauce. The only thing would be to have fancier fries or sides options.

Birthday and was good for an outdoor group

Interesting concept where the menu is succinct and the food plentiful. It was our first visit and we were surprised when they brought out seconds on all the meal items! Go there hungry! I had chosen them because I heard about their charitable acts at Thanksgiving for those that had to spend the holiday alone and admired their efforts. The service was fast and very pleasant.

We enjoyed our time there. We were immediately sat. Our server was very attentive. Even though our initial dishes were dropped at the wrong table, the team’s recovery was top notch. I appreciate it.

We were a group of 3 co-workers traveling together. I was not aware of the limited menu, but we were fine with it. Please note you receive very good steak, fries and salad-no deviation. If you are low carb you can ask for extra salad vs the fries. BIG NEGATIVE - the music was so unbearably loud, we could not even hear each other talk about our project. We would have come back during the week, but the noise level was prohibitive. It literally sounded like a night club volume. Waitstaff and hostess were very professional and attentive. Again, if you are a steak/frites person, very good quality. Thank you.

We were the only ones dining inside. Ambiance a bit cold especially compared to Cleveland Park location. Food very good! Staff friendly with each other, could share it a bit?

Used open table to make a reservation inside the restaurant. Arrived on time only to be told that I had to sit outside. The temperature was low and the wind was blowing. Quite uncomfortable. Staff offered a heater, but quickly stole it back as soon as we ordered drinks. Fairly underhanded. Food not bad, but as long as you’re making a reservation it should be honored, regardless of who you are.

we went to medium rare for brunch and relished the opportunity to dine outside. the food was good (as always), but service was less than stellar. our server was incredibly inattentive and the service was incredibly slow. i am assuming that the restaurant was understaffed, but we had to practically had to beg for them to bring us our check.

Great Monday night treat! Food was great as always and we got fantastic service from Nick and the team.

Ordered the benedict and the toast was burnt and the eggs was way underdone. Mimosa's were flowing and service was great.

Worst dinner we ever had!! Super poor service, salty food, really small portions.

The server literally dumped the food in my husbands plate saying “if you don’t eat we gonna through it away”.

Really good experience celebrating our fifth anniversary. The food and the service were terrific. The second portion of steak was quite rare and really chewy, but everything else was delicious and amazing!
