We had a wonderful table on the patio and our server was fantastic. Unfortunately, for us, the food was mediocre. We had the Caesar salad truffle with Soto and a veal chop. My Apperal Scripts was served without club soda or champagne. Disappointing I can do better at home.

As usual, the food was great. However, the service wasn’t what we were used to. One person from our party ordered one of the steak specials and it was initially overcooked. They ordered medium rare, lean towards rare, but it was well done. The manager overheard us and she took the steak back and said she’d have the kitchen remake it. Unfortunately, that took about 20 mins or so. It felt like a long wait and the steak came out (medium rare this time) after the rest of our party had pretty much finished their food. Because of the consistently wonderful service we’ve come to expect at Matteo, it was disappointing the manager offered no remediation such as a glass of wine on the house or dessert. That being said, we’ve had several amazing experiences here and we will still be back, but it was disappointing to walk out unsatisfied this time.

This was our first time dining at Matteo during our visit to SLC. We experienced excellent service from the moment we arrived. Our server Harley was polite, friendly, and on-top of our requests before we even asked. Our meals were top-notch, dessert was fabulous! Several "specials" were hand-picked from local farmers that very day. We can't wait to return!

Matteo’s is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is amazing as well as the service. It feels like you are eating at a friend's home who is a gifted Italian cook—everything is personal and done with care. Fresh local ingredients prepared to perfection. We love eating on the beautiful patio. If I could, I’d give it 10 stars!

The food looked and tasted delicious! Excellent ambiance for dining! Menu had something for everyone, and server was careful w food allergies Extra nice that parking was available (during weekend brunch hour).

Outside the noise level is softer and the tables are shaded. Inside is more lively. Depending on preference, we like the ambiance of the patio. Lovely meal and drinks were fantastic and our server was great too. In fact all of the service I’ve experienced there has been ideal.

Took my girls to dinner to ask them to be my maids of honor and this was a great place to do so. The food was amazing, the extended drink menu was so appreciated!! We had the Cod Ravioli, paccheri alla vodka and the Aragosta, all absolutely as I am originally from Italy and being able to find good quality pasta is not as easy as one would this, but this was jackpot. We tried the cheese and cold meats appetizer which had amazing prosciutto and mortadella. Desert we had the Brownie tiramisu and it was delicious. Overall the experience for a nice casual dinner is a 9/10, perhaps it was more casual than I expected as there was some big parties, but will definitely be back and recommend this gem!
