Best restarant been too and staff attentive and funny and food to die for thank you for a lovely evening and moving to Weymouth and so will be in again see you soon
Lovely evening thanks , enjoyed food and service, was great. Will be back, thanks
Excellent food and service. Recommend the Bovril potatoes!
Great food and service! The only problem I have ever had with Mallams is that it is a bit cosy. It is a small restaurant, however it has a reputation for great food, which it does live up to. Well worth the money
Very enjoyable meal for my wife's birthday.
Staff very friendly and efficient.
Good atmosphere and would recommend a visit to anybody.
Had visitors over for a few days. They expressed desire to celebrate Burns Night. That left me cold (believe it or not Burns was a Bad Man!!!) but they were very longstanding friends so we booked the evening with Mallams. What a triumph from beginning to end. Restaurant has a to-die-for position overlooking the harbour and as for the food..... Venison appeared looking very red and moist which got our (as in 3 out of 4 people) vote but made me nervous on behalf of husband who ideally prefers meat veering to well done but it was so beautifully cooked that we all claimed it was the best every venison we had ever eaten anywhere. Pudding? Who doesn't love marmalade bread & butter pudding in a boozy Drambuie sauce/custard? Staff were VERY knowledgable re win and service top notch.
Very relaxed and intimate atmosphere. Interesting menu with attention to detail and flair for presentation. Food is excellent.
Very good local food, both meat and fish, beautifully presented. Three courses with basic wine and coffee c £70 per head.
Very different from our last experience. Service was like trying to get stubborn high school kids to come help you, menus had to be requested and were falling apart.
Ordered the most expensive meals and left hungry.
Decided to do pudding elsewhere due to lack of service and lack of response to our feedback.
Maybe go back when we hear things have improved.
So Disappointed, was suppose to be a special night.
Thanks to the George for being so welcoming, what a hard working bunch of people.
Well located restaurant in central Weymouth. Excellent food, nicely presented and sensible portion sizes. Friendly service.
After booking table a month in advance we had a tx message less than a hour before are table booking to say they where closed until 27th November.
Superb meal and excellent customer service.fantastic cocktails and food
Beautiful food served by by efficient, attentive waiting staff in a lovely setting . Highly recommended !
Special event put on by Mallams to highlight Dorset Sea Salt. Interesting short talk, followed by set menu - very enjoyable food, even though would not normally have been first choice from the menu. Salt cod fritter was delicious, as was the belly pork. The dessert was a little too rich and salty for me.
A really nice friendly restaurant - we will definitely be going back. They do great cocktails to kick off. We went for the 3 course set menu as it mostly had what we were going to eat anyway. This meant we got an essentially free desert and opted for the Mallam's Pudding. This was delicious but, be warned, it will probably put you over the driving alcohol limit. A real find!
Excellent service from very knowledgeable staff. Very varied menu obviously using fresh local produce. "Marmite potatoes" were new to me and great. Would certainly aim to eat there again if and when next in the area.
Had a lovely evening, food was excellent as were the staff
Not been for a few years, but as before was amazing food, wine and welcoming, friendly staff. Mustn't leave it so long before our next visit
Just very good restaurant with very good food and very good service.
A very pleasant meal in a well appointed waterfront restaurant. Service was very good and attentive, with appropriate advice on both food choices and wine. Food was excellent, well presented and very tasty. Will certainly return.
One of the best meals out in a long time ! Very nice meal .. beautifully cooked and staff were very helpful . Thank you
Lunch was our second visit to Mallams - not disappointed at all. The set lunch menu had everything we needed. Starters of smoked mackerel pate was excellent, as I am advised were the mussels. We both had the same main , the fish of the day. Brill fillet was absolutely 'brill'. Wines were well recommended to go with these courses and dessert wine with the chocolate fondant and strawberries also went together well.
We will return.
Fantastic food, lovely quayside location and really informative, enthusiastic staff. Highly recommended AAA+++ !
A thoroughly enjoyable evening. Good food, attentive service , local produce - what's not to like!
Good food and drink with a wide choice. Not cheap but priced mid range, food is a notch up above the rest at the price.
A great find whilst on a mini break in the Weymouth area, the food was excellant and beautifully presented. Service was great and bar tenders knowledge of cocktails and drinks was amazing. A cocktail filled with alcohol rather than juice. Highly recommend and to be sure you are not disapointed I would book.
Go there everytime we visit Weymouth and it never fails to impress us
Top dining experience
Thank you Mallams
Great location, good atmosphere, fantastic service from friendly staff who did not talk down to us, no pressure to buy anything in particular , everyone was very helpful. The food was wonderful. It is quite expensive but we felt it was worth it. The ingredients all seemed very fresh, the flavours delicate but absorbing, the wine was delicious (we did choose just about the cheapest bottle!). After a wonderful and healthy fish meal we splurged on the Mallams Pudding which is divine. I would definitely go back for a special occasion.
We visited one Friday night to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary and had a thoroughly wonderful evening.
We have been to Mallams a number of times over the years. The quality and service are outstanding.
