Absolutely superb food, lovely outdoor setting, right next to the beach. Lots of extra touches like bread basket and amuse bouche. Good cocktails, nice wine, friendly service! We loved it!

This place was good, but not great. It's a good atmosphere, and the service was just fine, but the food was just ok in my opinion. I got the seafood wheat pasta and I would not order that again, but the arugula/burrata cheese appetizer was good.

I always love to visit Luma when I am in Playa. Its locates on one of my favorite streets and close to the beach. The patio is great and the food always fantastic. I highly recommend if you are looking for a italian-med fusion concept with good seafood. The burrata appetizer and mushroom risotto and was our favorite!

Everything was fabulous about this restaurant, with well one exception. We sat out front outside and the Greek restaurant next door had a novice singer (karaoke style) that was way too loud that we could have done without. The octopus was the best I ever had. Loved every bite. Desserts were spectacular too. Service was great on a beautiful night in Playa. I look forward to next time. Salud.

Great restaurant as far as food was concerned. The lobster pasta was the best pasta dish I ever tasted. Wonderful. Our major complaint was service. We had a 6:30 reservation and arrived at 6:00. It was a special birthday dinner so we asked for the table on the deck. The waiter told us it was reserved and could not nor would he seat us at our preferred table. We were finished by about 8:30 and that is when they finally seated a party at the table we wanted. So the table sat empty for over two hours, yet they would not accommodate our request. Not sure what was going on here, but it certainly did not endear the restaurant to us. With so many great restaurants in Playa to choose from, service is what stands out. In this case it did not.

This place has a special place in our hearts because, given that we loved the food so much, we went to Luma two times during our trip. However, I am not sure if it was the amount of customers that they had one day, but our food took a long while to come out which made our dinner longer than anticipated. Despite that Luma’s service was not that great, the food is exceptional and I totally recommend it to anyone who loves seafood, fresh ingredients, high-quality pastas, and tasty desserts!

Very fresh food

It was my birthday and on a recommendation made a last minute change to this restaurant - so happy I did.
The menu is not huge but the food was fantastic- the service very attentive, some nice extras like appetizer and liqueur after dinner and very good value! I quite like the ambiance in a lively neighbourhood shirt walking distance but a world apart from the frenetic La Quinta Avenida. Thanks so much- I would look forward to eating here again if I return to PDC
