The food was hyped and service was decent. I am vegetarian but my husband eats everything, my food was over priced for the sad rice I had for dinner!
An exceptional dining experience. Elegant and understated decor. Great food beautifully presented by warm and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend the tasting menus.

We did the 12 course tasting menu with wine pairings. The food was delicious and beautiful. The service was incredible!
Natalie our sever was absolutely incredible. Best server I’ve ever had. She explained every dish and wine pairing perfectly.
今日は初めての訪問でペアリングコースをいただきました。メインのお料理までにお腹はいっぱいになってしまい、最後まで食べましたがもう少し軽めのコースがあれば良いと思いました。メニューで一番印象的だったのはtomole でした。また伺いたいと思います。

The original chef left the restaurant... the food is not as half as good... the service is great.. but I don’t think is worth the price to pay the degustation menu for what this new chef is selling.... this was my favorite restaurant .. and I do travel around the world.... but this is not what it was... not going back... sorry to se the Chef go... I will try to follow the chef..
Uno de los platos principales que se encuentra en sus dos menús de tiempos y a la carta también, que es el lechón no lo tenían y eso me pareció muy mal .

My boyfriend and I enjoy trying new restaurants, and in Guadalajara there are plenty. Lila Bistro really exceeded our expectations, it’s a small and cozy restaurant with beautiful decorations and ambiance, it’s very romantic. The food was delicious and the servers were very professional and nice.

One of the most delightful dinners I have had in over a year. That includes stints at Central, Maido and Pujol [for you die hard foodies]. What comes from the kitchen here is beautiful and artistic.The flavors are bold, compelling and inventive. Its hard to pick a favorite - The Ensalada de Hojas, the Chef Darren's take on Chiles en Nogada [I won't ruin the surprise but its playful and stunning] or the fabulous rift on Lechon [which was moist, flavorful and not greasy]. The chef is a genius. Clara, the powerhouse who brings this all together, and her hospitality team are amazing and have made a special place they should feel proud of. I have spent the last year eating at well over half of the 2018 Best Restaurants in Latin America and it is a travesty Lula is not even mentioned on that list. That needs to change in 2019.
En general es un que me gustaba, el lugar se nota cansado.
La atención al detalle se ha perdido. La comida fría... quizás es el estilo actual que le quiere dar Darren Walsh, que por cierto se nota su falta de presencia, un lugar de autor sin el autor.
Fantastic 8 course meal. The price is reasonable for this quality of food. World class.

Long weekend in Guadalajara visiting friends.
We had the 6 & 8 course menus. The quality, presentation and flavor was impressive. Very interesting wine selection to pair with each course.
Attention to detail was great. Waiter was clear and detailed while presenting the ingredients and cooking techniques.
Definitely enhanced our overall staying in GDL

Disfrutamos del menú de degustación de 6 y 8 platos, con maridaje de vino.
La atención fue excelente, la calidad de los platos y du presentación nos impresionó mucho. Nada que envidiar a degustaciones similars que tuvimos en cDMX o New Orleans.
Definitivamente ensalzó nuestra experiencia en GDL.

El mejor restaurante de Guadalajara sin duda! Cada vez que viajo a Mexico trato de cenar en Lula Bistro. La comida es excelente! Solo me encantaría ver una mejor carta de vinos.
Tardaron mas de 90 minutos en traer 2 tiempos, le comentamos a la mesera que teníamos mucha hambre y que habían tomado mas 90 minutos y no más nos habían traído 2 tiempos de los 6 que esperábamos y su respuesta fue : que se debía a que era 10 mayo(el restaurant estaba a la mitad de su capacidad).
Totalmente en desacuerdo con su respuesta, cuando solicité hablar con el gerente para que me ayudara con la situación me comento que no había ningún responsable que resolviera este problema.
Si se reserva con tiempo y no están preparados para el 10 de Mayo, que lo expliquen al momento
de hacer la reservación y así poder considerar otros lugares que son capaces de atender a clientes.
No es recomendable debido al mal servicio y mala actitud del personal involucrado.
Excellent, well-prepared 12 course tasting menu with wine pairings for 4 persons. Indicative of French-Mexican Fusion cuisine with European attention to excellent well-paced service. The experience was just over $750 USD with one pre-dinner drink per person and although I knew it would be very expensive, having a menu presented to us with various options would have been better than a verbal explanation of a tasting menu without explicitly detailing price.
Un deliciosa experiencia, fuimos a cenar con mi esposo por su cumpleaños y quedamos encantados con el nivel y calidad tanto de la comida como del servicio seguro regresamos!

All the dishes were really delicious. The best restaurant in Mexico! My husband and I, we love “cocina de autor” and when we found one we always go and repeat. And this is the best! You will love it!

Duck was absolutely perfect and I wished they gave more.

Excelente sabor de los platillos, presentación qué daba pena cambiarlos con la cuchara, la selección de los vinos en el meridaje adecuado para cada platillo, caro pero vale la pena.
The food was great, but it has the same menu since the middle of October when I was there last time.
In October, the hostess told me the Chef had not been able to change the menu because he has a lot of work. So I figured by December, it would be a new menu. Don’t get me wrong, the food is delicious, different, a great mix of flavors. It is one of my favorite places.. but it should change more often.
Give it a try . It is one of the best chefs in Mexico.. even if he is not Mexican.. but I wont go again until the menu changes...

La comida, excepcional, la deconstrucción de los platos, siempre es sorprendente, el menú de 9 platos a mi ver es el más equilibrado y el maridaje está muy bien cuidado.
Hacia muchisimo frio en el lugar pero nos conentaron que no era debido al aire acondicionado sino a una ventana q estaba abierta

It turns out to be a bad choice. The service was mediocre. The server had a frantic pace around the restaurant, producing an air of uneasiness, over the three hour long ( I got in at 9:30 and out at 11:30 pm) course. The duration was torturous not because of the length but because of the ill mannered and poorly spoken waiter. Although I volunteered to communicate in Spanish, he ignored it. Furthermore, he added a 15% gratuity without my consent to the bill’ which I signed knowingly. However, his honesty is questionable.
However, the food was generally good; the chef seems to have skillfully used natural sweetness to some dishes and deserts were perfect, not sugary, to my liking.
This kind of restaurant should haves staffed well mannered and well spoken waiters. Some waiting staff glanced me such a way that I felt uncomfortable. Lamentably, this evening the experience was at best mediocre.
