Loch Bar - Baltimore
maine lobster, kerrygold Irish butter, chives, celery leaf, toasted split-top bun
creamed spinach, fennel, pernod, parmesan cheese
five local oysters, served with old bay remoulade
Okay soooo i will start by saying the frose was absolutely delicious, our serves dayi sorry if i spelled it wrong was amazing outstanding serves top tier .. but the food leaves a little to be desired ! The oysters were outstanding me and my gf both enjoyed them . But the roast chicken sandwich was horrible not really seasoned amd lacked taste period very upset we paid for it although it was $16 bucks it’s wasn’t even worth that . The soup was HORRIBLY DISGUSTING i wouldn’t recommend eating food here at all maybe the menu changes a lot so the chef are always changing but ew stick to what ppl like cause ew lol but however the service was top tier i would come again but onli for the raw bar and a frose .. and it would have to be happy hour i wouldn’t recommend paying the price for this at all .. but if you like a good happy hour and good service and a cute date or outting you may like it ..
Had a great experience. Food and service were great. Will definitely come back again.
I’m assuming that it was because it was a busy evening that the kitchen staff may have been overwhelmed because everyone in my party food came out cold. Some things had to be sent back. Our waitress was awesome and gave us excellent service .
Graduation lunch and happy hour!! It was such a beautiful day and they took great care of us!! The Orange crush and Arnold Palmer were amazing!!!
Great food, clean, nice view of the harbor. I had the lobster roll..it’s a must try.
Wonderful staff and service. Food is worth the price - great portions.
This was our first time out to dinner since COVID and let me say, we had a great time! Food was amazing, drinks were delicious, service was superb. Everything was clean and staff all wore masks. Overall great experience! Will be back!
everything was great, especially the staff, however the portion size of the Sea Bass I received was very small in comparison to the price, and not especially flavorful, but I added some Old Bay, and it was fine...........this is my only issue. However, I will definitely return.....
Another consistent establishment. I was there for a meeting so I only ordered appetizers. The cream of crab was delish. I ordered the scallop ceviche, however, it wasn't to my liking. It was fresh, but I didn't like it. I did however, love the smith island cake. Again very fresh an delish as well. The drinks were a little on the expensive side, but I was able to close the deal--so it was worth it. Oh...the service was great. Shout out to Isabella!! (and the hostess that sat us outside)
Nice outdoor seating options however it can get noisy and distracting when you are trying to have a nice outdoor meal. The prices aren’t bad however the menu options are limited outside of the oysters, not a very creative menu to say the least. If you have reservations for a large party just know you will have to have ALL of them there at once to be seated. The drinks are amazing, especially the frose, delicious 😋 Nothing else made a lasting impression on me after eating there twice thus far....because again the food is not that impressive if your not eating oysters
Amazing food was awesome
Waited over an hour for a chopped salad and salmon wrap. Salad missing chopped egg.
Server MIA - never came over to explain the delay.
We finally waved over the mautre’d who was literally standing 4 ft away from us and he went and got our order!
No one every apologized for the long wait and didn’t seem to care very much,
Music was very loud and would have asked to have it lowered but no one to ask.
Good food, good vibes
Service here was amazing! Food was pretty good but it was very loud.
I came to lochbar after hearing several people rave about it but after my visit this weekend I don’t see the hype. I could’ve came on a bad day. Had reservations and still waited for 30-40 mins. Super noisy and had to yell to talk to my partner.. table was super small. It wasn’t completely horrible it was just one of those times you want to hurry up and leave because it’s not so comfortable. We ordered the Filet Mignon, Lobster Roll and Steak Lettuce Wraps.
Outside bar to start then inside, both were excellent
This was my first time visiting Loch Bar and I was very impressed. I enjoyed the aesthetic, the food and cocktails were delicious and the service was wonderful. I will definitely be going back.
Service was so slow today . We get better service when they are busy. It took over 20 minutes until our server decided to come by us and there were only few tables and other servers. We ordered several appetizers and they brought all the appetizers at once which was overwhelming and would obviously get cold. Items were cold and they had to make a few items twice. Would have rather stayed in, the whole experience was over three hours. Lastly, the tables were not six feet apart, more like 2-3 and didn’t feel safe.
Slowest service ever, and they weren’t even busy. We got our appetizers before we got our drinks, even though we ordered the drinks first. Took a long time for the waitress to greet us as well. We left right right after we ate our appetizers and went next door to Bygone instead.
Pour server was not attentive and at times almost rude .. At times I felt concerned about asking a question.. the hostess was wonderful
Lobster roll is amazing.
Please don’t try to sit outside on a windy day. It’s like a wind tunnel. Multiple dishes and glasses went flying. Otherwise it’s a great place with delicious food options.
The staff was friendly and attentive. The oysters were excellent and so were the crab cakes. The fish and chips could use real chips vs string fries.
As always it was great. One of my favorites in the city for sure!
Great food and great staff
Initially service was crappy: food was late, desert was late, and steak was not cooked as requested. However, once i shared my concerns with William-the manager, he did a phenomenal job. We eventually left very pleased with Loch Bar. Thanks William!
Excellent selection of oysters, good cocktails and wine list.
Everything was perfect, but I expect much more from service ...
Having been on covid lockdown for a year, returning to Loch Bar was the perfect place for an outdoor lunch on a beautiful sunny afternoon. As usual, the food was delicious. The cream of crab soup, baked Rockefeller oysters, lobster rolls accompanied by an extremely fresh salad all make me just want to come back soon as possible.
Experience was great
The service was terrible, both me and my fiancé are servers in the fine dining industry and we were very disappointed with the service.
Took my mother for lunch. She loved it! Left her phone and they kept it safe until we returned an hour later to get it. Mr Robert at valet is my favorite guy! Always a great day when I visit Loch Bar
We waiting about 25 mins for 18 oysters and on top of that a patron bought a dog INSIDE the restaurant which completely turned us off. Mind you outside seating was open. Service is usually exceptional but not this day. I’m a loyal patron but my friend said she won’t come back.
I’ve always had great experiences at Loch Bar. I’m certain you will too!
Their menu is vast with a wide selection of local favorites seafood.
Birthday dinner. The whiskey flights are awesome.
The Good: Server Raul was cheerful, upbeat and attentive. The Bad: Food and drinks were underwhelming: the crab dip and oysters Rockefeller we're composed of a similar uninspiring goop, and the cocktails were, stingy. The Ugly: specifically requested in advance a table away from the kitchen by a window (note: there were plenty of other tables before we were seated, so shame on me for not pointing this out on the spot). We were eventually seated at a small table in front of a service closet which contained food takeout materials and other supplies. The staff needed to access this supply closet three times in the first 10 minutes of us being seated. Accessing the closet required us to stand up and move our chairs and table ~ Giving the staff a helping hand on occasion is always appropriate. However, it was obvious that the staff was annoyed with this table's location, and was becoming increasingly annoyed with us for not moving our chairs and table fast enough. After approaching the maitre'd, explaining that this situation would be untenable for a sit-down meal, he (without a word), gestured to a new table that was a good fit. Bottom line: If you're headed to Loch Bar for the location you're going to the right spot ~ as for cuisine and hospitality, you'll need to manage your expectations.
We ate outside to avoid the packed unmasked bar and not distanced tables, so it was cold but food and service was wonderful and it was worth it!
