Le Colonial is a celebration of seductive spirit and vivid flavors reminiscent of Saigon in the 1920s. With locations in Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Delray Beach, Houston, and Naples, the famed Vietnamese restaurant is designed to capture a bygone era of sophistication and opulence. Celebrated restaurateurs Rick Wahlstedt and Joe King deliver exquisite attention to detail in the luxurious, classic, and romantic atmosphere of Lake Forest’s lively Market Square District. For special occasions, our private dining space provides a bespoke setting for unforgettable celebrations. Please be advised that we do not hold an indoor reservation for all patio reservations. I hosted a Holiday lunch and the attention we were afforded by our waiter and the manager was amazing. Very attentive. Excellent service. Food was great ! Memorable lunch.

Lovely dining room. Amazing service. The craft cocktails are worth the price! The Smoked Old Fashioned is my favorite! The Tuna TarTar is the BEST I’ve had. If you like “sweet” then don’t skip the Vietnamese Coffee! Delicious!

We recently celebrated our anniversary with our first visit to Le Colonial, and it was truly a delightful experience! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the beautiful decor and stunning architecture, which perfectly set the mood for our special evening. The ambiance was enchanting, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for our celebration. The food was absolutely incredible, showcasing exquisite flavors that left us wanting more. Food was delicious. Ambiance is lovely. Service was prompt but we felt a little rushed. This is a common issue at le colonial. Clearing plates at a tight table when others are still eating. They were literally reaching around us to get plates. My daughter commented that she felt like we are being rushed through our meal. Server was very nice. Food was great. Had curries and stir fry. Husband had halibut. All excellent. We will be back but wish we didn’t feel like they were trying to get us out of there quicker.

This was our first visit and it was outstanding! We arrived early for our reservation and were seated immediately. Our waiter was excellent, charming and very helpful. The food was unique, in our experience, beautifully presented, and delicious! Wait staff was attentive without being a distraction. It was the best local dining experience we have had in years and we can’t wait to return.
