   [Descripción en español en el último párrafo] Highly recommended! This place is a must try in all south Florida. The ambience and decoration is beautiful. The service is extremely good. Everyone greeted us with a smile and gave us a warm welcome. If you have any dietary restrictions just let the server know. They can assist you with all your needs. The best things to try here as an appetizer: Cha Gio (Crispy Shrimp and Pork Roll), Pan Seared Chicken Dumplings; and as a main course: Halibut (you can order with spicy on side) and the Red Snapper! It’s totally worth it. Kudos to the chef and all the team for an awesome experience! - Este lugar es un encanto. La decoración es impecable. Te hace sentir que estás en otro lugar, que no es Florida. El ambiente es cálido y acogedor, perfecto para ocasiones especiales, para citas de negocios, o para pasar un rato con las personas que más quieres. El servicio es impecable. Te atienden de manera muy atenta, e intentan hacer lo posible para que pases una noche increíble. Si eres vegetariano, vegano, o tienes una alergia, puedes informarle al mesero, el cual está debidamente preparado para ofrecerte opciones de acuerdo a tu necesidad. La comida es exquisita. Los platos pequeños (small plates) son realmente aperitivos; pero algunos no son tan pequeños. Sirven para compartir. Y los platos grandes (large plates) son platos fuertes. Algo que aprendí aquí es que en Vietnam, culturalmente hablando, todo lo que va en la mesa está diseñado para compartir como familia. Dentro de mis recomendados están: Aperitivos: Cha Gio, Chicken Dumplings y Ribs. Platos fuertes: Red Snapper, Halibut, Shaking Beef y Fried Rice.

   I have been to this restaurant a number of times, always pleased. The food is good, as is the service. This time, I was bringing a friend there for the first time. I made a reservation on the patio, where I have always chosen to sit. We were seated at the far end with no shade, no overhead fans. My friend was hot, there was a lot of street noise (under the fans, I never before noticed it) and it was very buggy, also due to the lack of fans. My friend asked if we could sit inside and she was told no. We had walked through the restaurant to get outside and had seen a number of empty tables. When we left, we again walked through the restaurant and saw a number of empty tables. Were we seated at a less desirable table, leaving other tables open for other diners who might come in? Neither of us appreciated the lack of accommodation and I do not know if I will return to Le Colonial any time soon, if ever.

    We dined at Le Colonial many times because of the ambiance, great tasting food and quality service. But with its higher end prices, we typically save it for special occasions. Thursday night four of us went there with our daughter to celebrate her birthday, which I included in my reservation notes and confirmed with the hostess at arrival. We requested to seat in the main dining room, which we did but unfortunately our small banquette was opposite a very noisy party of 8, making it almost impossible for us to talk to and hear eachother. Dinner was excellent and our waitress changed out my glass of wine with a better selection, but our daughter’s birthday was not acknowledged. Didn’t think I had to mention it to our waitress after being seated since the hostess had confirmed our “special occasion.” More pluses than minuses, and we will go back.
