L’ATELIER de Joël Robuchon
Loved our night sitting at the chefs table. Staff was very attentive and personable. One of our lighlights for the weekend.
Way too overpriced and we left hungry!!!!! Never again!!!!!!!
Amazing food and wine pairing with great service. Bar seating has limitations on privacy and noice level
Beautiful decor, standout details, nice colors.
Sat at the bar, amazing service, outstanding attention to customers. Food is always beautifully plated, so much so that you don’t want to eat it, but well... then you dive in. Delicious. Everything we ordered. Bread basket worth the wait. Personally I love the little baguettes only because I m not a fan of cooked cheese. But everyone loves the cheese rolls and they disappear in no time. Everything is amazing.
I expected excellent food - it was better than expected. Same with the service. B-day dinner with my wife - not many locals, unless Hong Kong, Tokyo and Canada are considered local. Kitchen is poetry in motion and the staff struck right balance between cool professionalism and warmth. We loved it; it wasn't on expense account, but we'll be back.
EVERYTHING ABOUT OUR DINING EXPERIENCE WAS WONDERFUL
Perfect as always
I guess they aim to be a "happening" two star restaurant - a really tough balance to hit. Only "chef's counter" seating is available for parties of two, but to call it a "chef's counter" is a bit of a stretch. Some seats have great views of the kitchen, others are best described as bar seating. The food is quite good, but hard to call it special, particularly in comparison to some of the other NYC two star rivals. We had what amounted to a very nice meal in an unusual and fun for a two star restaurant atmosphere, the food felt a bit overpriced for what it is, but they'll let you bringing your own wine (corkage was something like $50, a bargain compared to the typical markup here), pretty good overall.
I'd go back, bring a nice bottle of my own wine, and enjoy a good meal in an un-stuffy atmosphere - but there are other places I'd rather be (fittingly, those tables are harder to get).
From the moment you arrive the hostess made you feel welcome and and special. The wait staff and sommelier were thorough, friendly and accommodating. The food was simply amazing and we got the pleasure to meet the chef Christophe Bellanca after dinner who was easy to talk to qnd invited us back. Everything comes together like the pieces of a fine watch, and you have the best seat in the house to witness it all, worth every penny!!
Really loved the white asparagus with morilles mushrooms, the eggplant, the scallop crudo and the side of vegetables. We will order these again. The sole was not up to par to the rest, we will try something different next time. We really enjoyed being able to pick small portion dishes a la carte and create our own testing menu. The service was stellar from the whole staff. Bravo. We will be back.
This was an incredible experience! The ambiance, food, and service were all excellent. I cannot express just how wonderful a time we had. I can't believe this restaurant doesn't have three Michelin stars!!
Satisfied everything !
what would you expect from the best! Not our first time, but our best time. The counter is the place to be. You can go with the set menu or the a la carte, but the food is fantastic and everyone is pleased to assist and explain. Great for a special occasion. The bar is beautiful as well
Wonderful evening and a terrific meal. Very pricey. A few reasonably priced wines would have improved my mood.
Just not that impressive, food was mediocre, I mean it was fresh ingredients cooked well but just not very tasty and very limited a la carte menus in vegetable options when there are dozens of meat or seafood options. Also, I was surprised my wine glass had very visible dust all over the glass which is shocking for high end restaurant like this.
Many other better options for this price range and 2 star Michelin places in the city.
Almost everything was perfect. Only the entree fish was not quite hot enough or flavorful. The caviar lent it some salt but it was lacking definition in an otherwise divine experience.
It was truly a wonderful experience! The staff are so knowledgeable and personable. We were very pleased, we had the tasting menu and each course was divine.
This was probably the best dining experience I have ever had. The staff was extremely attentive and seamlessly executed their roles and responsibilities. The hosts were very accommodating and food was phenomenal!
I cannot wait to return here.
Ambiente ist stylisch, ausgezeichneter, aufmerksamer Service, Blick in die Küche mit sorgsam, routiniert und souverän arbeitenden Köchen - ein Erlebnis der anderen Art!
One of the best French restaurants in NYC. Amazing experience, impressive and artistic presentations, delicious and crafty dishes. Service is beyound impeccable.
Amazing memorable experience. Among the best meals I have ever had anywhere.
Service and food are fantastic, the level of ingredients is also very commendable
Food was delicious and counter seating facing kitchen was fun to watch. It's expensive but a great treat for a special occasion. Loved it!!
Everything was perfect. From the greeting at the front desk to the table selection and seating, to the service throughout the meal, and all the way back to the front desk and front door. The food was delicious and beautiful, the plateware and glassware were also beautiful. We have a great meal at L’ATELIER de Joël Robuchon in Paris years ago but, sadly, the service there was mediocre. Our experience in New York was impeccable.
Great restaurant! Food was delicious! Group of 4 did the 4 course menu. Well worth the cost. Will return.
Anniversary dinner. Enjoyed the food very much - filled with love and perfection in every dish. Enjoyed it every bit!
Amazing time. Great food Great service
Excellent. Highly enjoyed.
this restaurant was a work of art from start to finish. All the food so delicious and gorgeous. service so perfect without being stuffy. Decor creative and beautiful...I treated my family for my husband's birthday and it was truly a glamorous treat for all..... everyone was so surprised by how delicious every bite was...a tour of the kitchen afterwards was fun and we got to thank every single person who lovingly prepared out meal........The diversity of the staff was amazing and another case for not closing our borders to the hardworking and creative people who are coming to America to learn a craft and make our lives better in the process....thank you to the Chef and everyone behind this great place.
Never disappoints! Christophe Bellanca is deliberate on all his sumptuous creations, and dining here is an experience that should be on everyone’s list.
Absolutely outstanding, from the minute we arrived everything was first class. The food can only be described as sublime. The service was attentive and professional while remaining friendly. The restaurant is not stuffy or intimidating as fine dining can sometimes be and we had a very enjoyable evening.
Food and service were on par with expectations in such a restaurant.
However, we did not have any « mignardises » at the end of the meal
Traveled all over the world... this is the worst Michelin star restaurant I have ever been. Definitely disappointing. Had dinner at the Paris one two years ago and was amazing. So wanted to go to the NY one since then. Had the tasting menu "menu de l'evolution". The food was boring and the flavors were bland. Service was average, maybe once did our server asked how was the food. Absolutely not worth the $235.
Wonderful experience from start to finish. Excellent service - excellent attention to detail. Superb food- the bread basket was also a wonderful surprise and extremely delicious! The impressive dessert (mushroom) was above and beyond- impressive display with true artistic work. Each course was more delicious than the last ( if that’s even possible)! Would recommend with high regard!
Valentines Day dinner. Yes I know it’s amateurs night out. But for $255/Head prix fixe should I wait 50 minutes from seating to first approach for drink and dinner order? Server placed used fork back at place setting instead of replacing?!! Acceptable at a diner but in Michelin starred restaurant?!!. Sommelier excellent but food B. If you are prepared to pay $1000 for 2 in NY there are plenty of better places. J Robuchon would be very unhappy with his sloppy legacy.
Always an incredible experience. Have come multiple times and i am still blown away by not only the quality and flavour of the dishes, but the service and ambience.
Paris in NYC!
Perfect in every way.
The scallop carpaccio was super fresh and the venison with foie gras was amazing. The Wagyu beef melted in your mouth. The attention to all the details in the dish were perfect. Overall the service was excellent and we will definitely return.
