Laduree Washington DC
Fun location in the heart of Georgetown but service was very slow.
Very nice ambience and offerings of course. Very low noise which was perfect to have a business lunch.
Slow, but courteous service. Delicious food and beautiful atmosphere.
I really wanted to love this outing and I’m not the type to complain but I was really disappointed in their service. We got there had a reservation at 12:30. We were seated right away. My issue was we had our order taken and they did not bring not one thing for a whole hour. Everyone was around us getting their food and we were just sitting. We mentioned it a few times to the waiter and he just kept saying so sorry and forgot until I called a different worker and she took over. They apologized a few times but come to find out notning was put in at all. We didn’t even have a big order just tea time and soup. They tried to make up for it buy giving us an extra sweet but it was very frustrating when your paying for something that’s considered expensive but your not getting the service to go with it. When I left they offered to help me personally with my to-go macaroon order but the boy at the register was so rude when I handed him my receipt grabbed it rudely out my hand. I’m visiting from NYC so I won’t be back to this location but they definitely need some work with management and customer service.
Came here for tea and was surprised at how bad the service was. Our server didn’t seem to understand how the tea service worked and didn’t give us any of the information we needed to order (proper menus etc). The tea included 2 finger sandwiches which had been premade and wrapped in paper, they were dry and not very good, like you would get from a gas station. We also ordered a glass of wine that took 20 min to be brought to our table despite there only being 2 other tables of people in the restaurant at the time. Bottom line is that the service is bad and the tea itself is not worth the price you pay. It feels like Laduree is trying to ride on their name alone and the quality of your experience is in reality very poor.
It is lovely, but worn. The food is limited but , very pretty. We took my mother for her birthday and it was fun.
Missing Paris? You can fill that desire at Ladurée! Exquisite cuisine, direct from Paris to satisfy all the senses.
Eyes: Beautiful decor, as bright and airy as the front of the original on the Champs-Élysées in Paris. Gorgeous food, beautifully and creatively presented. Gleaming, weighty silver cutlery and teapots, pastel china – all a feast for the eyes.
Ears: French music and accents filling the air.
Nose: Of course the beautiful and delicious food also has the most interesting aromas.
Palate: Best of French flavors, same as the one in Paris.
Touch: Crisp white tablecloths, appropriately attentive staff, and all served with flourish.
Savor and Enjoy!
A delightful tea with pastries
Laduree was charming, quaint and food was delicious!
It was lovely atmosphere and food, but service was a bit spotty. Still very worth the visit.
Staff was for friendly food was excellent nice place to feel like you are in a nice place
We celebrated my wife’s birthday, it was wonderful!
Good food. TERRIBLE service. It was extremely slow and the waiter did not bring everyone’s order. We had to remind the manager about what we had ordered.
Fun place for a girlfriends afternoon lunch.
We had a lovely tea for a girls-only afternoon in the city. The tea selection was impressive and all delicious and the food did not disappoint. Of course, the macarons were the highlight of the array and were delightful. Definitely will return!
I have been to Laduree in many different locations and I was actually disappointed with this one. I ordered the high tea at the Georgetown location and was excited to have a relaxing experience. Unfortunately the food just wasn't that good. The macarons were dry, as were the sandwiches. The flavors of the sweets were good, but not outstanding, and the sandwiches were lacking in flavor.
I did bring home a couple of pastries for my family members, and those were good, but my dining experience was lackluster. I will not be returning to this location--I'll save my business for New York.
Great pastries and tea food was good
Everything was absolutely delicious, staff were very nice and we had a great day. It’s a little pricey but totally worth it!
It was my daughters 17th birthday and we had the tea time. We went during the weekday and everything was perfect. The servers were very helpful. Highly recommend!!
Loved the afternoon tea at Ladurée. So many delicious teas and and goodies. I would recommend ordering tea and pasteries separately from the prefix High Tea menu.
Wonderful pastries, lovely decor and fantastic service. If you want a french experience that's where you should go.
Pros: The food was fantastic and the French decor added to the experience. The staff at the counter were nice.
Cons: Our server was inattentive and the chairs were really uncomfortable.
I was totally satisfied with my visit to Laduree.. everything was amazing.. from super nice waitress to delicious food and desserts with tea! I will definitely come back!
It was so cold that multiple tables had to emphatically complain. The air was turned off for a short bit but soon enough we were once again shivering. Our server was not very attentive. The main course was not great but the dessert was absolutely wonderful.
We had 2pm reservations and waited for several minutes to sit at our table and then another 10 minutes for our server. The macaroons and pastries were great but the finger sandwiches were not edible. It was stale white bread and no flavor. The tasted like they had been sitting in the refrigerator for several days. For $39 per person I expected fresh sandwiches. We had Madeline’s at the end that tasted like frozen pancakes. I’ve had lunch at Laduree before and I expected a better tea time with my children especially given the price. It was also extremely warm in the restaurant and uncomfortable.
Everyone was soo sweer and kind with smiles . Was greeted inside as well as leaving with a warm thank you. I love this place.
Food was fantastic. Service was sub-par, and the dilapidated decor should be embarrassing for Laduree.
Quick service and excellent food! I would definitely come back for the Tea Service again!
Service was slow. Very unorganized. Food was cold and not prepared well.
Always a delight to eat at Laduree. The staff was amazing. Overly attentive in a good way. I ordered the eggs Benedict with salmon: delicious! The interior is aesthetically breathtaking.
Great place to have an afternoon tea! All of the food was incredible and the service was wonderful. Will definitely come back again!
Lovely ambiance and quiet setting, making for easy conversation, but the food other than the pastries was mediocre and the service was very slow. Nonetheless, if you want a very leisurely paced lunch or snack in a delightful setting, it's worth checking out.
We went for the tea service and let them know that we were both vegetarians, our waitress was very good about that and knew not to bring marshmallows and that we would need the cheese tea sandwiches. We got two sandwiches labeled “compte cheese” that ended up being chicken which I realized after taking a bite. Apparently all of the cheese sandwiches had been mislabeled chicken and vise versa. While the waitress was very apologetic the manager did not seem to care. They comped no portion of our tea service.
Excellent French toast and croissants. It’s a really unique and comfortable place to dine; it’s more than just a cookie shop.
Accessible elegance in Georgetown. Laduree is decorated
Great meal! Went for brunch/ lunch. Terrific!
Lunch was delicious in a lovely setting.
A delightful spot for a more informal afternoon tea, which is hared to find in the Washington area. At the back of a bakery, but the area is up one step and is its own area, with a little low fence designating the special space. Only criticism is that the tea selection is ordinary, nothing special to try here if you are a true tea lover.
We had to wait for an hour to get our food, other tables had the same problem..
