La Unica - San Miguel de Allende
Fabulous, as always!
Amazing experience!!! Definitely one of my favorites in Dan Miguel!
Dry slow service
Excelente vista y buena carta de menu.
Excelente!! Los Alimentos, el Lugar, Las Bebidas, todo Excelente!!
Food, service, and ambience was top notch. My favorite restaurant in SMA
Muy mal trato de hostess Cindy
Very bad service from cindy hostess, she said reservations through opentable are not their priority, we had to call manager
We were visiting from Texas and we absolutely love the view and the ambience. I would highly recommend this for a night in San Miguel.
Great food and the best view. It has perfect location and a very special ambience
Buen lugar a secas.
Absolutely beautiful space in one of the grand houses on Sollano. Five of us ordered way too much food but everything was delicious and we look forward to going back. The roast pork was exceptionally good and could have been shared. There was a large wedding using the roof terrace so we couldn't;t go up there. Another reason to go back. Among the best to the newcomers.
Excelente comida y ambiente
From the moment we arrived we were very well treated. We were five and given a roundtable in a quiet corner by the fireplace. The service was excellent. The food was all good but I would not say it was Outstanding. My salmon was a bit overcooked. The beet salad was ordinary. The chocolate mousse type dessert in the clear glass bowl was the highlight of the dinner.
Be careful when ordering from the right hand side of the menu. It is a long list of very interesting tacos. The tacos title is only at the top and when reading down the list, one does not realize that these are tacos. One taco called asado steak was ordered in error. Our guest thought it was a steak. This required the order of a second entrée in order to give her an actual steak.
But the overall experience was excellent, The ambiance and Decor are beautiful and elegant and we would happily go back.
Amazing beautiful roof top terrace, great wine, margarita and sea food. My advice, try the ceviche "catch of the day"
Magical views that Transform as the sun goes down, good steak and seafood.
Showed up for my 1:15 PM reservation and was told they would open restaurant 15 minutes later (1:30) for us. We waited 30 minutes until they said they wouldn’t be opening the restaurant until 2 pm. Terrible service
My family and I had a really bad experience at this restaurant. Starting of with the people at the door they were really pretentious. The waiters were rude and brought us our food and drinks with a bad attitude. My family and I were so tired of having to flag waiters down for attention we gave up and did not even ask for more drinks instead just the check. Which also took years and then they added stuff to the bill that wasn’t ours. The food was not bad but it was not the greatest. First and last time we go there. San Miguel de Allende has so many other great restaurants.
Had a group of 8 friends for Dinner at La Unica. We had been there previously and had had a great dinner when we were just two guests. Obviously the holidays are super busy in San Miguel with many large parties in the restaurant. The service was terrible. We waited about 30 minutes to be served drinks and were never asked if we wanted a second drink, we did. More than an hour had passed and I asked the waiter what is the status of our food. He said he would talk to Chef. Twenty minutes later nada, so I asked that they bring the check since we were leaving. The manager came and asked me for "five minutes" and we would get our food. An hour and a half after ordering we finally had soup. We were given some lame excuse that the order was put into the "system" but kitchen had not received it. Those pesky computers. After having the appetizers, more waiting. I was trying to get the attention of someone, anyone, to obtain the bill so we could just leave. I was finally able to hail the waiter and was told that our dinners were being prepared and would be there any minute. We just wanted the check and I told the waiter we were leaving. They complied with our request. I looked around the area where we were seated and few people had food so clearly we were not the only ones experiencing slow service. La Unica does have decent food, but still has service issues even though it is no longer a "new" restaurant. Go back to the drawing board and re-train your employees on how to deal with issues professionally (be truthful) and fix it. It's regrettable that such a nice-looking eatery has such poor service. There is too much competition amongst good restaurants in San Miguel, and the clientele have become too sophisticated, to tolerate such inefficiency.
Great food, poor Service
Terrible experiencia . Servicio lento y malo . Clasistas y selectivos . El personal poco preparado y el gerente irrespetuoso.
Great food and service. Nice mix with art pieces. Beautiful view
Excelente restaurante, los camarones al ajillo 👌👌👌
Excelente Restaurante con muy buen servicio.
Gracias por muy buen servicio. Como le para hacer reservación en terraza??
Amazing place, great food but horrible attitude at reception.
I went back again to give it a second chance. The service was not great and the food fair. My housekeeper in San Miguel cooks better salmon. They really need to do something as there are so many better spots in San Miguel. I would avoid it!!!
The service was the most horrible one I have ever encountered.
We ordered our food and they brought it almost an hour later when we drank all the wine. The worst thing is - they forgot to write down and bring 3 dishes that we ordered! And after we mentioned it to them they didn't even say sorry and apologise!!
They think the view can cover up the worst service. Please avoid at all costs.
Terrible experience overall. From not respecting OpenTable reservations to the lady upfront taking a bill from someone who, of course, got a better table than us, to unimpressive drinks and waiters who never offered us good menus. We ended up leaving and having a fantastic experience next door. In short, come for the views, run away for the service.
Good food, terrible service.
The food and view (we had a terrace table) were wonderful, but the service was not so good. We were visiting from out of the country and felt as though the locals were provided much more attentive service by the wait staff. We had to wait for a long period to place drink order and the group behind us which was seated several minutes after us received their cocktails before we had any beverage service. We noticed the attentiveness to other guests as we were trying to track down wait staff to help us throughout our meal. It was unfortunate, because we really loved the food. Also, when we finished one bottle of wine and asked for a second, they were out of the same so we were presented with a wine list to choose another wine. The second bottle was not to our liking and so we ordered another bottle which was equally bad. Rather than complain, we just didn't drink it and paid for it. Thankfully they did not charge us for the second bottle, but only the first and third. It seems their wine inventory needs improvement. Overall, I would go back and maybe sit in the first floor courtyard.
Linda vista de la Parroquia, comida deliciosa. Un poco caro pero vale la pena.
