Terrible food and service. This was my first time and my last.
In our opinion, the food was good, some items better than others. Two of us dined, yet some dishes had odd numbered portions; the probe were very small. Our order was messed up and we got the same dishes twice, but fortunately we liked them. The all-you-can-eat option proved too be worth it, especially with the odd numbered, small plates. The drink prices are very high comparatively. The service was sporadic; we had to flag down refills.
One gentleman left because no one addressed him and he read an entire newspaper! We will likely be back, now armed with knowledge about the ordering process.
Per usual, La Tasca didn't disappoint. Great food and even better service.
It is a great date place to enjoy a long leisurely evening.
Our server was very nice and helpful and the food was delicious.
It doesn't matter which day or time I come, the food and service are always good. Something tells that little girl didn't submit my registartion.
Food was amazing! However, 7:15 pm on a SAT night was SUPER loud. It was still a good time with friends.
The server was helpful at suggesting items that my party might like. The lamb skewers were our favorite. I went on a Friday evening and the environment was fairly calm around 8:15. I’d come again to check the salsa dancing or the unlimited Tapas.
Great service. Great food. A bit loud.
Great place to hang out and enjoy some good spanish tapas. The service was excellent and the atmosphere had the right tone. I wish they still have the beer I loved (Alhambra Negra).
Have dined here before and really liked it, but the food wasn’t as good this time. Fried eggplant was soggy, not crispy like usual and the lamb meatballs were very bland. Service was ok, not as good as the last time.
Good sangria, had a children's menu that offered tasty options for kids while adults could sample tapas. Expensive for portions, considering many of the dishes had the same taste/sauce.
Excellent service, excellent menu selections and quick food service. Noise level was moderate, and our service staff was very knowledgeable of all the food selections, as well as provided excellent service.
Great tapas, attentive and friendly service. All in all a great experience that reminded us of our trip to Spain several years ago.
This place is wonderful! It’s a little pricey but nice for a more upscale dinner. The food is delicious
We can here for our anniversary. It was busy. We were seated for about 10 minutes before we were greeted by our server. Aside from that, the food was amazing and the service thereafter was on par. We’re definitely going to come back and try more things from the menu! We enjoyed the sherry mushrooms, the croquetas, and the chicken empanadas.
The $39 for unlimited Tapas on Sunday was a steal! Extensive menu selections of delicious food.
My go-to brunch place in Old Town ALX. Any chance I get to take brunch in that area, that’s one of my first suggestions
Always a go-to place everything is done well. at all times.
Coming back after a long time away and craving tapas
An excellent place for a large party. We were 10 and we were able to order 2 paellas and share a bunch of tapas...and not to mention their sangria pitchers were just delicious!! Great, great spot with great service!!!
Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was delicious, especially compared to other similar Spanish restaurants.
Great food and sangria
- The ambiance is much brighter and cleaner looking since the restaurant's re-design.
- It was easy getting a table during brunch on Sunday.
- Service was attentive
- Food was tasty but steak was a bit tough to chew.
- My fork still had paella on it from the last diner.
- Why do we ALWAYS have to ask for bread for the gambas - it should always come with the order.
- The tomato bread portion was a lot smaller than I remember and I think they are using a different
Food was pretty good; some plates better than others. Too expensive, though.
The food was wonderful, it was loud but not terrible, lots of happy people! Our server was wonderful. I'm short and not a fan of high tables but once I found where to put my feet life was better! Just have to move my feet a little underneath me more next time!
With a great menu like this, of course you’d want to try a little bit of everything. The tapa portion is an excellent way to taste what this restaurant has to offer. I love the brunch menu specifically.
Great food ... quick service. Ambience was a tad noisy but a good place to go for Tapas
Superb food with excellent service. I’m a repeat customer and look forward to dining there again.
Beautiful. Our server, Maria V. was attentive and friendly as she always is.
Very good food, authentic flavors. Good paella.
Good spot. Nice options - varied ranges of wines and a broad selection of tapas. A friend brought a nice bottle of wine and we were prepared to pay a corkage fee but $25? Maybe that’s the going rate in DC area but seems steep to me. The tapas were all good but uninspiring - we had the eggplant, pichilllo peppers plus some Jamon as well as the Bistec which was nicely marinated but overly charred which overwhelmed the tastes. Our server was pleasant and attentive.
The selection as well as the quality of the food was very good. The service was good until it started to get busy, then one of our tapas was forgotten and it took quite a while to settle the bill. The manager/owner was very kind - he tracked down the missing chicken and it was packaged to go (at no cost). Overall very good, but get there a bit earlier in the evening.
The auctioning off of plates and gaps in delivery left a lot to be desired. The server didn’t seem to have control of the table and was less than attentive.
La Tasca was great, as always. Sharing small plates with a group makes for a fun event, and everything tasted terrific.
Food was good and I would return but shish kabobs were somewhat dry and tasteless. I would not get those again. The other tapas were good.
We do not live close to a La Tasca but when we are close that is where we go - been about 12 times. Sipping Sangria and sampling TaPas. Never had a bad one. Food comes out super quick.
Always a great place to visit! Food and service are great!
Been here a few times and really enjoy the food. This time we came with a group of 10 for my husband's birthday. I don't know if it was because of the large group, but the service was very slow. It took a long time to have orders taken and while we're used to tapas dishes coming out at different times, one couple in our group who ordered at the same time as everyone else didn't get a single dish until 15 minutes after almost all the other food came out. Some of the hot dishes were also room temp by the time the came to us, so probably had been sitting for a while. It also seemed like it took forever to get checks, though I appreciated that they were willing to split them up.
I've enjoyed coming here for date nights in the past, and they do have a great kids menu for when we bring our son, but it may not be the best place for larger groups.
Fabulous experience, our server was very helpful and knowledgeable. Lots of fun and delicious food!
