Great food, beautiful location, and amazing service!

While the food is better than solid, the service and ambiance at La Palapa are always top notch. We had our rehearsal dinner here and numerous special occasion dinners and they’re always so accommodating.

Always great food and sevice

One of our favorite restaurants in Puerto Vallarta, we are never here without going at least once. The seaside/beach setting is beautiful, the service and food are outstanding. Highly recommend!

This is usually a favorite go-to for us. Unfortunately, we went a few days ago and the service was terrible. We each ordered drinks and 2 didn't show up. We waited about 10 mins for our waiter to come back so we could try and get them. After all drinks were delivered, we waited an additional 10 mins to get our food order taken. We flagged down a few other servers to get ours and he finally came after waited a total of 20 minutes. We had to confirm that if we ordered food, we would actually get it in a reasonable time.

We took into consideration their busyness, but this was a bit obscene. We had some salads and coconut shrimp (a fav) and moved on to a different place for dinner. For drinks and appetizers (since we decided to skip dinner due to service) we waited a total of 40 mins for service.

I have been here many times and absolutely loved the food and service those times. Hopefully they can iron out the kinks. Perhaps it's due to covid related reasons?

We had a wonderful evening at La Palapa, friendly and helpful service, amazing octopus appetizer and the catch of the day, snapper was absolutely perfect. My birthday dessert with huge sparkling candle was a grand finale!!! I would highly recommend dinner and the perfect sunset.

Wonderful restaurant for breakfast on the beach. You are treated like royalty with warm service and wonderful food.

This is a beautiful restaurant right on the beach in the romantic zone of Puerto Vallarta. It is fun for special occasions or just to grab breakfast. We had a nice Easter brunch there and our service was outstanding. Their breakfast selection was a little bit limited, but everything we had was very delicious. We have been here for dinner many times and, the service and food is always outstanding.

One of the best beach views in all of PV. Aim to get a reservation 20 minutes before sunset. We took friends back three times in two weeks.

As usual, food was excellent-mole enchiladas, the lobster, and the red snapper filet were all excellent. Service as usual was very attentive. The ambiance speaks for itself. Always a must for us when in town.

Service was horrible. 2 hours for dinner, waiting for over half of it. Never asked if we wanted another drink. Food was average at best. Cold night, asked for blanket, came back half hour later saying they were out.

After a terrible start to our trip to Puerto Vallarta, we came to La Palapa and were in heaven! The food at our resort was inedible so this was exactly what we needed! We got there just in time to watch the sun set and listen to the mariachi band! We ordered several appetizers, the tuna, tortilla soup and pear salad. All of which were excellent and started with a skinny Margarita and local beer. For dinner we had a bottle of wine, the beef medallions and the fresh lobster which was delicious and huge! My husband also ordered the potato purée with the steak which he said was fantastic. Ordered the lava cake for dessert and it was delicious, overall our entire evening was perfect. Just as we ordered dessert the live music started and our service was impeccable. If we are in Puerto Vallarta again we will definitely dine here and I would recommend to anyone. Service, ambiance and food quality are top notch!

Carlos and Oscar provided fantastic service. If you are lucky enough to sit at their table, you will not be disappointed.

Food was amazing, staff was very accommodating (big props to Carlos and Roger who were amazing servers and made sure we had a wonderful experience since we were in our honeymoon). Watching the sunset from the beach while eating great food was a perfect way to end the day

We celebrated our 1 anniversary there and it was amazing! Lobster was incredible!!! Also salmon was very yummy. Everything was great!!! Strongly recommend when ur in Puerto Vallarta

We arrived to celebrate my father’s birthday and he was in a wheelchair and is not accessible to the restaurant in the wheelchair and for arriving the access on the street was close and not access to the ramp. We ask three waiters help us to move from the stairs and it was a difficult situation with someone with a wheelchair.
Unfortunately, we don’t recommend this place for someone in a wheelchair. So sad because my father used to like this place so much but the moment that he was ending in a wheelchair is not accessed to the restaurant to eat outside or to arrive to the restaurant.

Everything that was brought to our table was delicious! The drinks, bread, appetizer, and main courses were perfect and you can’t beat watching the sun set and good food.
