For years, Paolo and Teresa Gaspari honored their Italian roots by bringing people together to enjoy good food, great wine and the company of friends and family. In 2019, John Ekizian took the reins and remains excited to continue the tradition of La Famiglia. The simplicity and perfection of fresh ingredients is the root of every meal we prepare here at La Famiglia, and all of our dishes pair beautifully with our vast collection of fine wines. It was our first time here and everything was awesome from the minute we walked in! The service, food, dessert and I believe it might have been the owner, who came to our table to ask how everything was.

The service was some of the best to find in Reno. Menu had more drinks and liquor light on the food selection. Kitchen was out of what I ordered the suggested substitution ending up being a bad idea. While I loved the wait staff I probably will not back here.

This was our last night in Reno/Tahoe, and we wanted a good, casual place to dine. La Famiglia was just the thing. The service was friendly, and the food outstanding. Definitely recommended if you want a good Italian dinner in Reno.

First time visit to both Reno and the restaurant. The restaurant decor is pleasantly old world with about 25 comfortable tables. Staff is professional, polite and service is appropriately timed between courses. There were many choices for appetizers and main courses. The veal entree was very tasteful, well presented and a good sized portion over flat perfectly cooked noodles. The squash ravioli and sauce was excellent and prepared perfectly. My appetizer special, prosciutto and melon was superb and almost too big of a portion for one person. Prices were reasonable for the quality of the meal. A wonderful experience.

I ve been dining here for years for pre-show dinner before event at pioneer theater. Food has been going down hill: my friend’s “baked” penne was lukewarm and appear as if the penne was dumped into the bowl and had a splash of sauce and half melted cheese on it. My ravioli was deflated. I couldn’t tell if anything was inside. My friend ordered the same dish: her sauce was usually dark . Mine was lighter in color and watery ( maybe they didn’t make enough and watered it down??). I hope the owner sees this and make improvements.
