This place would be great at a quarter of the price. It was just way too expensive for the food volume and service. They don't have a full bar and all of their wine/beer based drinks are $9-$15 for small drinks. We arrived early and the place was empty - we ordered and appetizer and before we had ordered our main dish they asked for the menu's back for other people arriving. Left us one to order from. The ceviche was wonderful, but again expensive for what you get. There were four in our party and with one dip they brought us 3 small tortillas to eat it with. When we asked for more they brought us one additional tortilla. Taco's were outrageous. One tortilla with a tablespoon of meat and no sides for $10-15.
The food was excellent, with creative dishes, and the service attentive and very willing to make any changes to orders. They do not have a full bar but do have lower alcohol drinks, and some traditional ones such as margaritas made with tequila wine. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
Loved finally checking out this place in our neighborhood. The servers were very nice, and the place had a great ambiance - excellent lighting and music playlist. Drinks were delicious, as was the short rib taco. I was disappointed by the spice level overall. Most dishes were very mild. I also think portions could be a bit healthier. Tacos are quite small, so they could offer more per order. But it was nice to have the free chips and salsa. My date also loved the flan. Cute place!
The restaurant is cute but I don't think my husband and I will be back any time soon. The servers were all really nice, however towards the end forgot about us especially when we were trying to get/pay for our bill. The food was okay, very unmemorable and not worth the money spent. There is delicious Mexican food around town and this place doesn't hold a candle to even some taco stands. The drink list isn't extensive but I had a Paloma and it was delicious.
Food was great but service needed a bit of help. Server checked in on us a little too much - he was lovely, but he repeatedly interrupted our conversation and for a little too long. We came to hang out with our friends, not the server. :-|
Best tacos I may have ever had!! Make sure to get the pork belly, el gobernador, and carne asada! Melt in your mouth deliciousness!! The service was not great, but it was Cinco de Mayo, so I'll cut them some slack.
Note, they do not have a liquor license, so all margaritas are made with tequila wine... was not a fan! Stick with the beer..
Very attentive service with an excellent Baja beer selection on tap [plus others]. Tasty Mex cuisine but cooked in inventive ways. Housemade salsas and guacomole were tops. Flan was the best I've ever tasted--almost like a cheesecake. Wonderful dining experience: food-service-atmosphere. We'll be back!
we had a rez for a friday night at 8:00 and we were sat immediately. the wait staff was great. The restaurant was about 3/4ths full, so I'm not sure why it took at least 45 to get our entrees and on top of that they were luke warm at best. this was a major disappointment and I will not go back.
Great service. They kept bringing homemade tortilla chips, salsa and water even after the bill was dropped. Appreciated that! Octopus taco was great. Good place to go if you don't have a big appetite but would gets pricey real fast if you need more than 2 tacos.
Horrible experience recently. Wife and I walked in, seated ourselves, after waiting awkwardly. and waited for one of the two waitresses to finally come by with a menu.
Here are the list of fails:
*Asked to see the wine list, waitress comes back 10 mins later with about 5 different bottles in hand, doesn't have any idea on the prices, has to go back and check, then takes another 10 minutes to actually bring the one glass of wine.
*Ordered 1 BBQ Chicken and 1 BBQ Pork Rib - after 10 mins waitress comes back to say "oh we are out of the ribs" so I ordered the chicken.
*Wife's Chicken arrives, no mention of my order, nothing.
*Wait another 10 minutes after flagging down one of the waitresses to get the status of my food
*Waitress comes by looking like she had forgot my order completely and said "oh, yeah, its coming right up"
*Another 10 minutes go by, I have to ask AGAIN, and it comes out 5 minutes later. *(Note: I'm starving at this point)
*Take one bit of dark meat and its COLD AS ICE CUBES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*I get up out of my chair, signal the waitress to tell her the issue, and she is shocked (not her fault, i totally get that).
*We told her to remove the item from the bill and close us out and yes,
*She did, she apologized, and we left. And yes, we did leave a tip.
Not sure who is managing the kitchen back there, but it seemed like a disorganized mess...
I did notice at least 1 delivery guy going in and out, so I hope those customers got food above the ICE CUBE level.
Safe to say, we will never ever return. Good luck...
The food was awful, bland and came out cold. My big problem was that a dish was served w cheese to my lactose intolerant girlfriend, when cheese wasn't listed as an ingredient on the menu. I then had to ask for the dish to be removed from the bill.
