La Cappella Italian Cusine
The food and the service was impeccable! And the view is the best you will find in Puerto Vallarta! The violin music at dinner added a special touch? We will definitely return!
Honestly, one of the best places I’ve been to. We’re here for a week. Had reservations lined up each night and were definitely cancelling to come back here at least one or two times.
Everything about La Capella was amazing. Beautiful views of the cathedral and lovely sunset. The open dining area had classical Italian touches and old world ambiance with a violin player in the background. The wait staff were friendly and professional. We enjoyed their tomato bisque soup and palm heart salad. They added large shrimp to my vegetarian linguine with white sauce which was delicious. Other entrees that were enjoyed : rib eye, pizza margherita
and shrimp scampi. Highly recommend this restaurant when visiting zona romantica in Puerta Vallarta.
Food is very basic for the price
The view is amazing and the room is beautiful
Thank you for your advice, La Cappella will work hard on enhancing those details.
Incredibly romantic ambiance. Food was good. We will definitely return!
One of the most magical experiences. This is more than just dinner. While the food is amazing, the atmosphere is unparalleled. We made reservations for right at sunset and were met with a table on the balcony, front and center, with roses and candles on our table. There was an amazing violinist. As the sun began to set the church bells rang. After sun set fireworks went off from a nearby boat. The decor. Just everything. Simply put, AMAZING!
Amazing view of the ocean and the church. Got to watch the sunset while celebrating my girlfriend’s birthday, I will definitely recommend this restaurant and will comeback again when I am I come back to Puerto Vallarta.
Beautiful view. Great food and service. Great violinist!
Thank you everything was great! I just wish that for our anniversary the dessert would be more special.
Beautiful setting, overlooking Puerto Vallarta. Deliciously prepared food and impeccable service!
Exelente lugar .!! Magnifico servicio buenas bebidas .!!!!
Great views and a great decor. Meals were okay. Pizza served cold. Entrees better. Service was adequate but not exceptional. The violinist truly added to experience. The sunset views were remarkable. I’d return but hope the menu is updated
I have been to La Cappella numerous times and it is simply a magical experience! If you visit Puerto Vallarta make sure this venue is booked in advance. You won’t be disappointed with the stunning sunsets and fireworks from the pirate ship.
Fue espectacular... Gracias!!
Birthday dinner was wonderful!!
Our favorite restaurant in PV. You feel like you are in Rome and a very romantic setting. An amazing view of the sun sets. The violin music sets a tone for a special evening. Amazing food and ambience.
Great location, ambiance and service. Food very good except scallops were under cooked and chewy.
Aline was our waiter. Superb. La Capella is a sublime experience, awash with atmospheric touches and gourmet food experiences. The sunset alone is worth it. If you pick one place to highlight your trip to Puerto Vallarta, make it La Capella. You will be transported to a different place in time. Serenaded by a violinist, tempted by a winning menu, wowed by the opulent decor. As the clock strikes on the church tower, and as the sun sets over your glass of rose, and as the candles begin to flicker in the main dining room, you will thank me...I promise.
It was restaurant week. And they have 3 course menu.
I ordered starter it was clams, was ok
Then main course was meat( beef) and I asked for medium level of cook of the meat, I guess the meat wasn’t fresh it came from freezer or was frozen, but I looked at other table was red colour of their meat,
What they do with quality of the food?
Was not really good experience, is not like what “certain people” said.
Also the service quality, the waiters was slow and they served only group. And besides that table is my table, he was “free” just standing and didn’t even serve my table.
Such a pity nice view, nice restaurant but not balance with quality of service and food (in my experience) because obviously other customers got better food.
Terrific service, old fashioned and professional. Truely appreciated, having lived in the U S, where while service may be friendly, it is seldom professional. The setting is opulent, and the view magnificent. Definitely a good value for what you get, which is considerable. Violin players were wonderful and the old world santos ensconced on the walls were very appropriate for the setting.
I’d like to give a horrible review so this magnificent place doesn’t get discovered but I can’t. It’s in our top 5 dining experiences in Mexico and in our top 20 in the world. AMAZING in every way!
Absolutely incredible ten out of five stars
Muy agradable lugar. Comida no es buena
Very beautiful setting with an amazing view. The waiters were very polite, helpful, and friendly. The food was delicious. They were having restaurant week, so the price was reasonable and the selections were tasty. We had a wonderful time and will remember the occasion. It was difficult to walk there because the way there is very steep, but well worth the hike. I highly recommend it.
Beautiful dining and very good food. Excellent service.
WhT a great evening.
The food and the music were just perfect, not to mention the view of the cathedral and ocean at sunset.
We will be back!
Prices too high, but other intrinsic items make it worth recommending.
My husband and I returned for our last evening in Puerto Vallarta. Our favorite Italian restaurant has delicious food, a breathtaking view and a beautiful dining room.
Was diasapointed in the overall eperience. Extremely noisy with not so good violin players. Was unaware of religious motif and will not return.
Unbelievable the food, the decor and the service. This one of our top ten restaurants in the world (and we’ve been to 41 different countries). My husband had the Osso Bucco and I had the beef filet, they both we’re wonderful.
If you leave Puerto Vallarta without dining here you have missed the essence of the city and all she offers.
Amazing dinner .... plan on going for sun set dinner
Beautiful restaurant, gorgeous view, delicious food
Not food for foodies, great view and sunset, violins playing. Mediocre food at best.
Beautiful ambience. Wonderful food and service. Spectacular view. A memorable evening to be sure!
