Koi - New York

I dined at Koi for the first time to celebrate a dear friend’s birthday. The experience was superb from start to finish. The food tasted like manna from Heaven and the service was excellent. I will most certainly be back for the Koi experience.
The best experience in a long time. Michael was our server and he was exceptional. Thank you Michael for making this an unforgettable experience for my friend and I. The svc was top notch. Next time will ask for you again :)
Loud. Expensive. Not bad food
Great sushi. Great service. Food came out fast and fresh.
All was pleasant, especially attentive waiter.
My husband and I visited Koi for his 30th birthday. The food was absolutely wonderful. We had the salmon tartar on crispy rice and tuna with foie gras as apps, and I had a sushi roll and he had the duck for dinner. Dessert was the trio of house made icecreams. Craft drinks were on point. Great experience.
A little overpriced but the food was tasty and service good. Bustling and lots of space. There’s also a great bar downstairs to try afterwards with great cocktails.
Servers forgot about one meal. The seating was quite tight for eight - coach in an airplane has more room.
Great for a fun night out with friends! Yummy food, great service, good vibe. Loved Koi when I lived in LA and so happy there’s one in NYC too!
Amazing service. Food was absolutely delicious. Love Koi!
Always reliable. Good time between appetizers and entrees
Great as usual.
Food always been great every time I come, server is very attentive to whatever I would like/need.
Love the atmosphere and food. Our waiter was a bit grumpy, which was a bummer. But otherwise it was lovely and the sushi fresh.
Took my son to be wife out for a dinner date and a walk around Bryant park it was everything I could hope for food was mind blowing my wife had two rolls and the calamari salad and I enjoyed miso soup with skirt stake with rice....and that rice was insane
The asparagus / mushroom side dish was too salty
The steak skirt also was salty but tolerable
Outside of that service and other dishes good
Manager Yaya was excellent and attentive in making our birthday celebration perfect!
Wonderful place to enjoy dinner
Overall, we had a very nice experience at Koi. The food was quite good - the standouts being the miso cod and the kobe potstickers. However, as with most of the popular NYC restaurants, there was little bang for the buck...
I am vegan and there were definite vegan options there; however, the all vegan dishes seemed more like an afterthought for the price.
Extremely expensive for medium quality food
This place is awesome. A little pricey but worth it
Great food as always. Try the crispy rice with spicy tuna.
Koi has good food. The sushi is excellent. Great service. The menu is set up for sharing which is great. It is a tad pricey but it is worth the price.
Fun had a great time
Great as always. The decor is starting to get a little dated but still one of my favorites.
Very noisy & crowded
Stellar as always!!!
Good sushi while we were in nyc.
Food and service were top notch! My Manhattan was superb and wife had two “Samurai Sunsets.” Lucky me !!
My husband and I were disappointed at our experience at Koi. We had come from Toronto and booked far in advance. When we arrived our table was huddled in the corner a bit, which wasn't ideal. The service was very disappointing. The server looked bored and only came to check on us twice - both times to take our order and deliver our main course. We had empty drinks every time he quickly skimmed by and eventually just brought us over the bill. I had high hopes for this restaurant and in the end it felt like a normal restaurant with mediocre service.
I have been to Koi In Vegas and LA I was so excited. Unfortunately this was not good. Fish did not seem fresh. Maybe it was what we selected. But just not good. I will not go back.
We split the delicious kobe potstickers, wishing there were more on the platter! For mains, we had the tender and subtly-flavored double-rib lamb chops , and the crispy calamari salad. We look forward to our next dining experience there, when we will try some of the other tempting dishes on the menu.
The ambiance is always there; the food is always exceptional; and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. I look forward to dining at Koi and it’s standards never disappoint.
Strictly for tourists
Two people, one drink, 4 rolls, edamame and appetizer, one dessert = $200
Waiter took too long tome to take our order and bring our appetizer.
So loud, I could barely hear friend across from me.
My specialty role ($32 one) was too oily to finish.
Definitely not running back.
Funky vibe but the food was average and ridiculously overpriced, even for NYC! And to top it off, poor service. Expect to pay at least $100/pp for an ok meal!
KOI never disappoints - the food is so delicious and location is the best. The only downside this time was that it was soooo hot in the restaurant and our server said the hotel controls the temp,. Other than that, another fabulous meal and happy friends who had never been.
Fantastic food and service had a 6:30 reservation and were seated right away.
Noisy, but it was Saturday before theater. Three of us went japanese. Two went for Filet. Everyone enjoyed their food. Excellent sake, cold.
