Great place to visit
The place is unbelievable! Is unique and fun to be in. However, the food does not make justice to the place. I will maybe think of going back for a drink but never for food, since it was just ok... And in my opinion, a place so beautiful as this one should have amazing food too. And this was just regular.
Incredible meal, excellent service, and even better ambiance.
Additional light is needed for a better experience because you cannot see what you are eating in dinner.
The food did not meet my expectations at all. I’ve been to a lot of high end restaurants and was expecting a lot more from this place. There was absolutely nothing that wow’ed me and I definitely expected that. Loved the ambiance and the architecture of the place is absolutely GORGEOUS. But there is no balance on the food. Food was very mediocre and too pricey for it.
The architecture of this restaurant is top notch and worth seeing. Make sure you come when it’s light out so you can see everything. There is an outrageous minimum spend for an outside nest table, we were quoted US$2000 for 4 people, which is hugely disappointing. You basically have to ball out on wine and champagne and get plastered in a restaurant in order to sit outside. The food is ok, it’s fine dining and if you like that sort of thing and don’t mind sitting for long then you may enjoy it. But it’s not extraordinary. You’ll find better food in Tulum elsewhere. You’re really going for the experience. The one thing that bothered us was how much of an attitude this place had. The hostess acted like we should be grateful to be there and was unhelpful and cold. Pretty much the opposite of everyone else we’ve been greeted with in Tulum. It’s nice to see but I wouldn’t go back.
Don’t miss this gem! You will never experience anything like it in your life!
The concept of this place is out of this world.. everywhere you look is a master piece.
Worth every penny, you won’t regret it!
I took my mom there to celebrate her birthday! We really enjoyed the ambiance.. The portions are very small and the food is quite expensive but we both really enjoyed the ambiance and decor of the place. Our waiter was very nice and give us complimentary cake with chocolate.
The location is amazing and that is what attired me there. However the service is very poor. We’ve had to wait half an hour before seating although the reservation. Then nobody was coming to bring us the menu and take then the order. I clearly specified I cannot eat onion, they serve me a plate with onion. The table cover was dirty and they gave us paper napkins, which are not what you expect when paying 130usd for a dinner.
To finish list of what didn’t work, the hookah has an irrealistic price to be in Tulum.
As said, only the location is worthy to go.
Great service ! Food is not as tasty although is very authentic and has a unique presentation, it is very hot and make sure to bring a mosquito spray if you don’t want to get any bites.
Ottimo ristorante, molto particolare ma elegante.
assolutamente da visitare
Amazing atmosphere and the Gallery was an exceptional treat, I will be back many times .
We didn´t choose the most expensive vine or meals on the menue - but still the waiters and service was very caring, personal and relaxed. The Oysters with Truffles were great, also the Tempura Shrimps. But mostly the architecture and the views are already worth the money. If you sit there, have a drink and you are not amazed, the only reason can be that you have the girl/boyfriend.
KIN TOH IS AN EXPERIENCE!! I absolutely loved everything about this restaurant, from the friendliness of the staff, quality of food and the ambiance cant be beat. I made reservations for KIN TOH after seeing some amazing pictures online, KIN TOH was all I imagined it would be x10! I made reservations for my birthday dinner at 7:30, upon arrival we were told that there was a glitch and our reservation was actually scheduled for 8:30.I was then greeted by the manager who showed us around the restaurant, art gallery and the crazy bridge that leads you to their connecting japanese restaurant. I was hoping I would get one of the large tables sitting outside to celebrate my birthday but we were told that we would have to spend a minimum of $1000. We declined and was taken to the bar, the bartender was a very cool/hip guy who made our fav drinks with a twist. By 8:00 we were given a nice table next to a window so we were able to enjoy the breathtaking view. After finishing the food (AMAZING!!, tried the black lamb, lobster, NY tacos, rib eye steak and shrimp) my waiter came over and told me he had a special surprise for my bday. He provided my guest and I with delicious handcrafted cocktails and walked us over to a large table sitting outside! This was the cherry on top to my experience at KIN TOH. I literally ate desert in the sky, right under the stars and moon and above the trees in the Tulum Jungle. I can not thank the staff at KIN TOH enough for the unforgettable experience.
This was a must see for me when I visited Tulum. I knew it was pretty well known when we pulled up in a cab in front and there was already a line of people. Word of advice, please don’t wear heels. I almost died several times wearing them, and since the stairs are mostly made out of thin logs of wood, it’s just a recipe for disaster for heels.
The place itself is absolutely gorgeous. The ambience is on 100. You walk up these wooden stairs high up above in the jungle, and you come across the main floor with the bar and three large areas made of net material. Two people can sit and lie down in these hammock nets and look at the beautiful views of the sky and jungle. Lines of people waiting to get the perfect gram picture here. You can even go up another set of stairs and get more breathtaking views of the outdoors up top.
The food was mediocre at best. A group of 6 of girls and I shared two bottles of wine, each got apps and entrees (which are small) with three desserts. Came out to about $104 each.
Overall, it’s a must see just for the ambiance and environment. I would go in for drinks, getting pictures if you want, and spend time taking in gorgeous views. Get better food elsewhere.
The food was great and this is a gorgeous place! However to dine in the birds nests you must get a hold of the restaurant and agree to the minimum spend, which was difficult. I emailed multiple times in advance, as well as called days before and could never get anyone to confirm this with me.
The lost stars is because the service was not as good as what you pay for. The waiter was careless, a bit clumsy and forgetful. We didn’t feel like we had the special treatment that brought us to book this birthday at Kin Toh. But the food was very tasty! Might try again.
We absolutely loved our dinner... we think it’s advisable to separate the areas where people pay a cheap drink just to see the sunset then the dinner customers.
It was a bit unappealing to see people walking around in see through swimming gowns when we made the effort to follow the dress code.
Let me first of say thank you to Enrique. He was an amazing waiter and truly made our dining experience so unique. Ask for him!! This restaurant has a really unique vibe to it. It is elevated above the Azulik hotel, and is a one of a kind atmosphere. The food is delicious, and quite a variety. I would definitely go back earlier in the night to watch the sun set.
Absolutely excellent. Best restaurant I've ever been to. The scenery cannot be beat, and the dining experience was unbelievable-- they went above and beyond our expectations to make each portion of the meal special. We were seated right away with our reservation, and Enrique was such an attentive server. I will recommend this to absolutely everyone traveling within a few hours of Kin Toh, and am already dreaming of the day we'll return to Mexico and can visit again!
Very disappointing. Would not recommend.
This restaurant is absolutely amazing! The private alcove with a gorgeous view was the perfect way to celebrate my birthday! And the fried oysters are a MUST!!!
Kin Toh is one of the most beautiful restaurants I have ever eaten at! The food was incredibly good, the staff was very friendly & overall it just is a STUNNING location!
We came in for our anniversary and everything was perfect! Such a beautiful experience and fabulous food. Our server was so sweet and took very good care of us, it was truly a magical dinner unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. Next time we visit Tulum we will definitely be returning for another epic dinner experience.
Booked a dinner reservation at Kin Toh as a surprise to celebrate my husband’s birthday. When I made the reservation, requested to sit in one of the nests and indicated on the reservation that we’re celebrating a birthday. Upon arrival was asked to wait for around 40 min. Therefore missing the sunset. Then the hostess proceeded to seat us inside the restaurant away from any view....when I told her that I made a special request, she told me that the nests come with a $1000USD minimum spend!!!!! When I asked her why I wasn’t notified of that when I made the reservation she apologized and said that she asked management to be more upfront about that “little surprise”, but they ignored her (which leads me to believe that it’s not the first time guests have complained. Needless to say I was very embarrassed trying to negotiate a better table, all in front of my husband. We ended up in a smaller nest with a minimum spend of only $500 USD, but by that point it was pitch dark and could not even see our food, that was ok at best. Highly disappointing experience!!!! Don’t bother coming here for dinner, having a drink at the bar at sunset is sufficient.
Definitely recommend it. Went for drinks..the servers could not be nicer and the hospitality was outstanding. Compliments of the chef...story line to the dinner....hammocks, bridge, nests - UNREAL. Such an experience.
Amazing environment and ambiance ! We were blown away!
This is a place to go. One of the coolest hotels/restaurants I have ever been to!
I was sat at a table facing the bathrooms I spent an hour watching people confused to which was female or male.. The floors bounce with all the steps of visitors so much the table shook. We wanted to be re-sat at a different table, and we were told it was reserved.
The food and service was very good but the menu choices were not very Mexican. We felt like we were in Thailand or Dubai, it was not a very personal experience. I regret not walking out after seeing the menu. I will not go back to eat.... However, the roof outdoor seating under the stars is really where its at! I was very bummed that I didn't reserve sitting outside, even just for drinks.. Sorry for the harsh honest review. There is so much beauty in Tulum, this place doesn't not feel connected to the community, just built for the rich visitors.
Everything was Excellent! Thank you for the service!
Excelente ambiente, lugar increíble y la comida una muy buena experiencia.
GORGEOUS AND UNIQUE BOUTIQUE AND GALLERY AT AZULIK FOLLOWED BY STUNNING VIEWS OF THE SUNSET AT KIN TOH WITH AN OUTSTANDING DINING EXPERIENCE!
Venue is obviously impressive. Food was good but over priced to be honest.
Amazing food, drinks and the place is beautiful! It's a must in Tulum
The venue is amazing. Their variety to accommodate a vegan meal was underwhelming though
Beautiful views from the hotel and the staff was really nice
