nice food, good covid measures. ambience is going to be hard anywhere right now because establishments limit capacity, but overall lovely first meal out since lockdowns started to be lifted
Potentially the best Japanese food I’ve eaten in London. Lovely little restaurant with a nice ambience, no complaints about the service and not exorbitantly priced.
Met a friend for lunch and went for one of their 10 or so specials. Was a lot more food than it sounded! Miso soup, salad, huge portion of delicious sushi and then substantial tempura veggies and seafood. The seafood was incredibly fresh. Want to go back for the a la carte which looks fabulous. Very nicely furnished, with attentive service. Not cheap - but worth it.
Really excellent Sushi - and great service....very welcoming
Fantastic food, delightful service, good portion sizes. Will definitely return.
We really enjoyed our dinner at Kazu. The quality of the sushi was outstanding, the room was lovely and the service was pleasant. It was definitely worth the trip.
Authentic japanese food, great service and cozy environment!
Lovely food and great service, pricewise a little expensive but definitely worth it! I would recommend.
Best sushi in London
Great sushi - great service - just a bit too fast - all the good came almost immediately so we felt a bit rushed!
The food was not terrible (though avoid chicken katsu - overcooked and dry) . The drinks and the service were pretty bad. Prosecco was flat and tasted like £5/bottle type that I haven't had to drink since graduating. Wine was not great. Service was slow and confused. And it ended up being very expensive. We just went to Pacific restaurant - where food was better, drinks were good and service was decent - and paid less per head. Not good.
Ordered Chawanmushi and nasubi engaku. Both are very tasty. It was good. I will go back.
Sophisticated and yet very cozy atmosphere with excellent Japanese quality service (quiet but very attentive). Food is also beautifully refined with sure quality and simplicity of authentic modern Japanese. Kazu would be my favorite restaurant even if it was in the middle of Tokyo. If you want to have a REAL Japanese restaurant experience in London, this is the place!
Food was very good but it’s expensive for the ambience
Only for the food! The service is slow and I have tried it a couple of times on a Friday. Takes a long time to put an order or get water and food (mains) were served at different times so that people had finished before the other members (party of 3) food had arrived. I do really like the food and staff are polite-but short in numbers and only the manager can take orders. And apparently not enough water bottles to leave a tap water on the table....
Food was great - very fresh, lots of variety, good flavours. Service was a little slow. They were busy, but it was Saturday night, so to be expected. They had a wide variety of sake as well. I've recommended Kazu to a couple of friends and will definitely try it again.
Overall, it was a good experience except that the waiter took an extra order which we didn't realise.
Fresh sashimi, dishes were delicious and friendly service. We enjoyed our dining experience!
Very nice decor and atmosphere and friendly service. However, the food was just okay. The sushi was good, but nothing special, I would say on the level of a decent take-away place. The chicken gyoza and edaname as starters were tasty. The ebi tempura was pretty good, while the seafood butter yaki was very underwhelming. In terms of value, I would rate it as decent to poor based on the quality of the food. We paid £110 for the aforementioned food along with two beers.
Went here with my husband and another couple for dinner. Enjoyed the food but felt gluten free options could be improved. Great sushi and very good value overall. Loved the atmosphere so all round a great time was had by all. Would recommend!
This is definitely my favourite sushi place in London so far. All sushi are super delicious, great selection of sake, the place itself is very nice, open kitchen where sushi chef is working and all this at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended!
Yes, great sushi, lovely ameniable service.
Noise is loud due to it all being busy and nothing to suck up the sound - can get. quite difficult to have a quiet conversation
Love Kazu and the food is good. But they could have done with another member of staff on Friday night as people were waving to get the staff's attention. They were very pleasant but we did have to wait nearly an hour and a quarter to get one of our dishes... and had to ask for it. But it was worth it.
Had an early dinner for my mothers birthday. Exactly what we were looking for; calm ambiance, sufficiently attentive service and most importantly good food.
Amazing experience, fantastic chef, delicious food. Must go and will go again.
Excellent food, service has potential but overall great experience
Love this place. Sushi is sublime. Service is diligent and friendly. Super.
Lovely restaurant, not too busy, great food. perfect for a business meeting
The food was good but the portion is too small for the price.
Took a friend for a lunch deal, though got carried away with ordering lots of extras, the lunch deal is a bargain. Great tasting salmon teriyaki served with rice, miso and salad all for £16 app. Though the dish to rave about was the Charlotte Roll, tuna, salmon and yellow tail with tabiko and a yuzu sauce. Absolutely delicious, the vibes were on point very chilled but with a great buzz. Great service as well! I will def be back!
One of favourite places to eat; my very favourite place to eat Japanese food. Lovely owner, great service and sublime food.
Food was very good quality, probably a bit more expensive than some places but still a very good quality. Will go back
Very much enjoyed the food but the service was a little slow as I think they were short staffed during a busy service. The food was very tasty. Would go back for sure.
