spicy lobster, yamagobo, tempura fried panko, avocado, spicy aioli, jalapeño rings, ponzu
Ahi Tuna Nachos
avocado, mango, fresno chili, shiso, cilantro, crispy wonton chips, sriracha aioli, sesame seeds
Best steak I've ever had. Well worth the price and the servers were AWESOME.
Loved it - great location and be sure to request outside seating. Server very helpful. I got the tuna nachos - they we’re wonderful but packed a little too much heat for me. Be sure to ask them to dial it down a tad if you aren’t into spicy. Amazing burrata and cornbread as well. Friend got the lamb pops and she liked them as well. You can’t go wrong here!
JRDN is our go to restaurant whenever we visit. So far we’ve been there 4 times in 2days!
My husbands partner designed this hotel and our first time there for his birthday lunch … great space and view with friendly staff and great food
Our experience last night was not as good as the majority of positive reviews. I chose for my son's birthday dinner based on all the good reviews. Here's a summary of the experience:
Validated 2 hour valet parking under the hotel was appreciated and valets were pleasant
Hostesses were friendly and quickly seated us at a perfect table on an outside patio right near the beach boardwalk. Great people-watching spot.
We saw a gorgeous sunset from our table (credit to God)
The waitress was not fun nor attentive, even though she knew it was a birthday dinner. She seemed to just want to get the job done. She interrupted a funny story I was just setting up to ask who was paying the bill. Better wait staff pick up on the fact that guests are engaged in something and wait until they look ready. She was also so late with a drink reorder that folks had a hard time finishing their second drinks. Ruined the flow of the meal.
After sunset the table was so dark we couldn't see our food. I turned on my flashlight on my phone and set it on a wine glass to illuminate the table a little.
Food was very sub-par. A sushi roll that was so spicy it took my friend most of the evening to eat it. The Ancient Grain salad and it was dry and bland-tasting. The corn and clam chowder was passable but it was tomato-based Manhattan style vs. the creamy New England style, something not spelled out on the menu. The short ribs plate had sparse portions.
A rather expensive meal for what we got... drove home disappointed.
Too many flies indoors! Very busy waiter but enjoyable. Sushi rolls were dynamite!
We love JRDN. The Ahi Nachos are TO DIE FOR !!!!!
This is a great Brunch spot, good food, great staff and awesome views at reasonable cost. The food has always been good here with enough variety to please most everyone. The most notable thing at our last visit was that they are fully staffed with people who are eager to serve. Ask for Arnold as a server...awesome guy.
Service was amazing. We sat outside.
Food service extremely delayed. We had children with us. Order was forgotten . Manager came out at least 5 times to apologize snd made bill adjustment. Also menu was definitely not what I expected. I had just been there 2 weeks before . We were told there was new program with glitches. Hopefully you’ll get it worked out. We’ll give you a few weeks. Ambiance wonderful except seeing many other served ahead of us when we been the first to arrive
nice spot, perfect location and view however, need to enlarge the menu, small options
We were sat promptly and guided by our server through the menu. We had a mixed dozen of oysters and then the fried chicken sandwich and yellow tail sushi roll. Everything was exceptional and we were able to finish our bottle of wine on the patio overlooking the boardwalk.
Everything was fantastic. Our waiter, forgot his name, was especially great.
Nice twist on menu items. Definitely will go back for the food and ambiance. Thanks for a fun night out.
Great service, delicious food.
The food was very mediocre, very expensive for what you got and the taste was abysmal. Waitress, who was really not that busy, mostly ignored us and when asked for the a wine menu, argued with us over wines she recommended.
Had to get a manager attention to get the wine we did order. Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Best service We really enjoyed the whole experience. I love the lobster roll, creamed mushrooms are to die for and the ribs melt in your mouth
Awesome dinner. Scallops were amazing and we loved Phillip
Staying at Tower23 hotel and celebrated our 42nd wedding anniversary. All meals were fantastic over the top at the restaurant. Thanks for the memories! We will be back! Even when we aren’t staying at hotel! Great food!
Wonderful Yellowtail Tacos!!!!!! A definite spot to visit in PB!
Food was amazing, our server was very attentive and friendly.
Loved our experience and food at JRDN! Will definitely be back again.
Our 42nd Anniversary stay at hotel! Awesome hotel! Great food for breakfast so far. Unbelievable service all around! Awesome place ! Love it! Thx
Quite an improvement in the quality of the food since my visit two years ago.
For the most part, service was excellent — especially Phillip
This was the first time we have visited! We went for lunch and it was terrific! Based on what we ordered and the quality, we would have expected to pay double, even for lunch, anywhere else. The staff was wonderful and fun. The view exceptional and the 'people watching' along the boardwalk, kept the conversation going! Will go back again!
Wonderful atmosphere, great food. Amazing service. Thank you!
Service was great. Our server was friendly and attentive. An amazing way to celebrate my birthday
Great location.. excellent food.. wonderful service
The food was amazing and we saw the most beautiful sunset!
We are on vacation and we always come here great service our waiter was Devine always smiling and attentive The lamb chops were perfect and the pan Zell’s very tasty. The dessert out of this world never had it the carrot cake had popcorn an ginger. Always excellent.
Great view! Relaxed atmosphere. Food was delicious. One of my favorite places in PB.
The only reasons why I came to JRDN was because I was craving their lobster BLT and truffle fries and wanted a nice view. I am in SD for business this week. JRDN used to be a regular go-to when I had lived here and when I had guests visiting from out of town. I arrived at around 430PM and learned from my waiter that the only lobster available on the menu at this time was their lobster sushi roll and that the lobster BLT is only available at lunch and now comes with steak fries. I was thinking that the lobster roll would suffice and be fresh, but it’s coated and fried…quite disappointing. Why would anyone want a fried sushi roll?!?! There was nothing else on the menu that seemed appealing or looked familiar from the last time I was here, pre-COVID. It’s a great place to people watch and have a cocktail, but fine dining options elsewhere.
Clueless server forgot to order our entree... Which was 3X spicier than normal.
$80 for 4 beers and a sushi roll isn't peanuts. Really poor experience that has soured me on what used to be a go to place...
Great as always but the outdoor tables and chairs need help! Very dirty cushions I hated to sit on
Sushi roll was amazing!
Julie was awesome She is kinda the best, door was great and view was nice would recommend everything on the menu.
Good food, nice views of sunset, friendly staff!
I love the beach and so happy I found your restaurant. What takes it to the next level of amazing is Arnold. He is so attentive, energetic, enthusiastic, and his menu selections have been spot on. He treats us like we are a guest at his home ( a wonderful host) and that is why I only want Arnold to be my food server.
Dinner was good but you can’t beat the view of the beach and ocean
