Using fresh ingredients, homemade sauces and dressings, and recipes created by Chef Jonathan Levine, your palette is bound for a unique experience. Located in the Memorial area of Houston allows for an upscale experience without the stuffiness of fine dining.     I cannot recommend this place enough! My husband and I went last night to celebrate our anniversary and everyone was so nice and welcoming. When we walked in, you would think the place would be really loud because of the high ceilings, hard floors, and how many people are seated close together, but we could hear each other really well. The design of the restaurant was done very intentionally with so many soft surfaces, fabric chairs, large curtains, large linen lanterns—so many things to absorb sound. I wasn’t to loud at all. I chose Jonathan’s the Rub specifically for the drink menu. They have so many great options, but I loved that they had my favorite, Paper Plane. Phenomenal! The food was *chef’s kiss* 🤌 we both got steaks, me the filet and my husband the NY strip, both perfectly cooked and flavored. Their fries are unique, with a savory herb seasoning and balances nicely with a sauce they recommend (can’t remember what is was called). The crème brûlée , also my favorite, was amazing and perfect for sharing. And they so sweetly gave us 2 glasses of Prosecco on the house for our anniversary along with a card. The service and the ambience can make or break a restaurant experience in this place was amazing. Like I said, everyone was so welcoming. Our server, Luis, was so sweet and attentive. The event coordinator came and spoke to us and he was wonderful. (I hate that I can’t remember his name, but he was so stylish and funny, we could have talked to him all night!) Thank you so much for making our anniversary so special and I can’t wait to go back!

    Fantastic as usual. The food is exceptional. Service is very good. I could have at least ten things off their menu and be very happy. Had the redfish tonight. So good. Our table also had the sea bass, pork chop and the beef roast. All amazing. If you haven’t been there you’re missing out.

    I really had a great time at Jonathan The Rub! The decour was modern with huge ceiling light shades and hanging flowers. If you’re looking for a new twist on shrimp and grits with andouille this is place to go; creamy yet slightly spicy! It was such a surprise to get a free peanut butter pie on a plate with happy birthday written in chocolate! Lucky me!!!

    The food was amazing! My coworker had the pork chop. Beautiful presentation and cooked perfectly. The Scallops were delicious. Lobster tacos for me were fantastic as well. I will definitely be back!

    The food was very creative and tasteful. Maybe a little more interaction from the waiter to make my first time guests impressed.

    Outstanding, as usual. We started with the ceviche, chili shrimp, and meatballs, which were all excellent. We then ordered the Denver roast (good) and double bone-in pork chop (terrific) and ended with the coconut pie and creme brulee, which were both delicious. Veronica was our server and she was friendly and attentive. Another special evening at Jonathan’s!
