Welcome to JJ O’ Malleys one of Westport’s most well known bar and restaurant. We are located at the top of Bridge St in the heart of westport town, At O’Malleys we offer a lively venue with “olde world” restaurant upstairs.
Our A La Carte restaurant is open from 5.00pm - 10.00pm (Please check updated hours on main page)
We are renowned for our unique and imaginative menu with over 70 mouth watering dishes ranging from succulent barbequed ribs, sizzling fajitas and not forgetting our flamegrilled prime Irish steaks.Vegetarians have a choice of dishes while our seafood selection include fresh local mussels,battered cod and crabs claws with Tiger Prawns, so if your planing a night out , and looking for a cosy atmospheric restaurant in Westport we have everything you need.

Beautiful restaurant, staff were lovely.. food came really quickly, too quickly. Stake meal was delicious, sauce to compliment it nicest ever had. Burger unfortunately was a let down. All in all. Was a nice experience

I had made a booking for a table of 8 people at 7.30pm & upon arrival was shown two tables separate from eachother. One of which was set for 5 & the other 3. I was very unhappy about this & the hostess didn't seem to think there should be any issue. I asked for a way in which we could all be seated together as that was the booking they had accepted & I explained that I should have been informed of this set up before arrival or they simply should not have accepted the booking for 8 people if they couldn't accommodate. I asked her to see if there was anything she could do & in fairness she checked & said there was another table on dessert so if we waited for that party to leave we could sit together. We waited downstairs in the bar & it was about 45 minutes after our booking by the time we got seated to order. Left a bad first impression to be honest. Food was decent & the place was lively leaving on a Friday night. No attempt at offering apologies or anything for the inconvenience. Unfortunately we were not very impressed & would not be racing back there for a night out.

Wow. Most amazing meal in Ireland during our 10 day trip. I highly recommend starting with the mussels and the seafood pasta for your main. The restaurant is located on the second floor above the bar and it is pretty quiet there as the booths are nicely spread out with some sound barriers in place.

The food was very good and I will be back, however the service was very poor. All of the staff were very young and there did not appear to be any manager on duty.

Beautiful meal in JJ's. Great selection of food. Our server Katie had a great knowledge of any items we asked her about.

The the food was very good , we had a query about the gluten free options on the website as compared to what was on the menu however the waitress never returned with an answer. We were sitting on the top floor which was like an attic, with 2 persons in our party over 6 foot it was not very comfortable. Overall I will return again but will ask not to be fitted in the attic !
